Was more than pleasantly surprised with this very cozy and quaint Italian restaurant in the Pass Casino in the Water Street District ( downtown Henderson). Well the casino itself is extremely smoky and full of very, very, very old people (watch out for the scooters, walkers and oxygen tanks), the restaurant itself was a very pleasant "casual Italian atmosphere". Real linen tablecloth. Very comfortable and intimate booths and excellent lighting in ambience for an Italian restaurant. The food was nothing short of excellent. You got absolute heaps of it and it was very authentic Italian. In fact, the meatballs on my spaghetti and meatballs with some of the best meatballs I've had in Vegas. My wife enjoyed her Chicken Angelo very much. Perhaps one of the best highlights of the night was the service. We had "Brandon" as our server and he was extremely personable, funny and engaging. He actually seemed to like his job and enjoy dealing with us. Highest marks to him. He really improved the night. Also, is one of the few authentic Italian restaurants that we found to be extremely affordable. We shared a full Caesar salad salad we had a massive entrée and even had cannolis for dessert (with a glass of wine) and the price tag was less than $65. Where do you get that type of value? Water Street's best kept secret! Inside the Pass casino sits an unassuming Italian restaurant. You walk up 3-4 stone steps to the beautiful doors and inside to a beautiful room filled with comfortable booths and lined draped tables, beautiful lighting and they even had a bar inside. They do to go orders as I heard several of those being taken as we waited for our bread which arrived quickly and included oil and vinegar. Delicious. Brandon was the waiter. He was friendly and attentive. Top notch! I ordered Minestrone soup and Bruschetta. My brother ordered a Caesar Salad. All three dishes were AMAZING. Best soup I have had anywhere and that Bruschetta was melt in your mouth amazing, the flavors lingered long after I had finished the last bite. Brother ordered Chicken Parm and I got salmon w/asparagus and potatoes as I am allergic to Mushrooms and could not do the normal risotto that it comes with. He said next time to remind him and he will ask for extra sauce and maybe another piece of chicken--He liked it though. The salmon was Juicy and delicious, the potatoes were soft. YUM. The Bruschetta pic did not come out sadly but it was amazing and I am sure the pic would not do it justice anyways. No desserts... Generic name, solid spot. Ristorante Italiano is a restaurant at The Pass, a local casino on Water Street in Henderson. I've been been checking out this casino lately and earning food vouchers, so I had to try this place since it's kinda the only food option other than the 24/5 diner/cafe. I stopped in for early dinner and got seated promptly. The wine list was remarkably affordable, so I tried the Bonanza ($7.00 glass, $25.00 bottle), a Cabernet Sauvignon by the winemaker who does Caymus. It was full-bodied and drinkable, not too dry or astringent or anything. It also paired just fine with our entrees later on. My first impression of the food wasn't great because it was their complimentary bread. The breadsticks were very bland, while the ciabatta slices were pretty generic and only tasted better relative to the breadsticks. The olive oil and balsamic dip were also kinda boring, and neither component appeared to be super vibrant or delicious versions of those ingredients. The entrees were actually pretty enjoyable though. I went for the Bone-In Ribeye Steak ($48.00), which was cooked medium-rare as per my request. The meat was seasoned nicely and was only marred by one corner being unpalatably over-charred. A small dollop of a compound butter was welcome but not strictly nencessary. I did not request any of the enhancements, and none of those were needed, although I can imagine them adding character. The steak was pretty tender overall, and it held up fine to my butchery even though the restaurant provided a serrated knife instead of a proper non-serrated steakhouse knife. Aside from laziness/cost-savings reasons, I can only speculate that a lot of their patrons like to cut the meat near the bone and find the serrated knife better for that task? The asparagus and roasted potatoes were solid accompaniments, albeit portioned very modestly, and the bread deficiencies were covered up when eaten with the meat. My mom picked one of the choose your style menu items, the Creamy Artichoke & Mushroom ($19.00), and added on Jumbo Shrimp ($6.00). This is a "when" dish, and by that I mean potentially huge piles of parmesan. She went with a reasonably small amount, which was plenty as everything was sufficiently flavored already. The creamy garlic sauce was complemented by artichoke and mushroom, and the rigatoni captured everything. The shrimp was indeed jumbo, enough to necessitate cutting it into two pieces if not three (for portioning reasons), and it was cooked perfectly. The decor is pretty generic Italian-ish and steakhouse-y. It's separate from the casino enough that there aren't any unpleasant sounds or smells. The service was pretty good, but not exceptional as I did have to wait a little while for the forgotten steak knife and never received any offers to replenish the olive oil and balsamic dip. As long as I keep getting dining credit promos from the casino, I'll be stopping in at Ristorante Italiano. They offered a pretty good first impression, and there is a lengthy menu with a lot more for me to try. read more

So we're hooked on this place. Shane is attentive and just honestly looks happy to serve you. We had calamari for the appetizer tonight then our dinners were the chicken parmigiana and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. So delicious and homemade. This place is cozy. Reasonably priced too. Ok so someone told us to go because we were missing out. Actually the food is what is missing out. I mean it was ok. But the flavors were lacking. I wanted something more like a fresh basil or salt or something! Something was missing. Calamari was meh veal scaloppini was bland. And if you are going to serve "breaded veal" please don't pour sauce over it. The breading was like mush all through the dish. Pasta was bland but I had probably 100 or so capers on my plate (way too much) . Husband's spaghetti and rigatoni was ok just not great. Meatballs were good. It just wasn't what we were expecting. If I'm going to eat Italian food I want fresh ! Not even a green offered. I ordered veal scaloppini and I got pasta n veal . No salad nothing green or anything else on the plate. Reposting! If you are looking for a terrible dining experience - eat here! Their portions are tiny, but expensive. Their servers are terrible... I had fruit flies in my chianti - told her, she took it away, offered me nothing to replace it... and, yes, CHARGED ME FOR IT ON PURPOSE - saying "I drank some if it"!! The sauce on my chic parm was old and burnt, and the chicken was over-cooked! The caesar salad dressing was on the side - not mixed on the salad, which had no romaine lettuce. They had no simple syrup for an iced tea, but the worst tragedy of all was the veal parm was 6 oz (so they claimed) without breading nor did it have mozzarella cheese! It was tiny! Even the server pointed out she it was too small! Any self-respecting Italian restaurant manager/owner would have been embarrassed by just one of these issues! First off, the service was awesome. They are only open Thursday through Sunday. We dined in kind of late on a Saturday, but Vladimir treated us no differently. He was a kind gentleman, giving us his recommendations as it was our first time there. We started with the CALAMARI FRITTI, which was slightly spicy with jalapeño garnishing. I'd recommend this. We were also given complimentary bread with oil and balsamic vinegar. Honestly, the bread was my least favorite part of the meal, but hey, it's free. For main entrees, we got the LOBSTER RAVIOLI, so rich in every bite; and the CHICKEN FETTUCINE ALFREDO. What I liked is the perfect portioning. For dessert, we shared the SPUMONI ice cream. Trust me, it's shareable. Overall, RISTORANTE ITALIANO is a quiet place with great Italian food at an AFFORDABLE price! This is my 3rd time coming to dine here. I stumbled across this restaurant through a Groupon. The first time I came here I had the Bruschetta for an appetizer. The bread was super soft and perfectly toasted and had a nice amount of Tomatoes and Parmesan cheese with a balsamic glaze. I also had the Caesar salad. It was a typical Caesar salad. It had A nice amount of dressing. It was very good. For the main course I had the Shrimp Scampi. The shrimp scampi was amazing! It was so flavorful and It had the perfect amount of scampi sauce to dunk bread in. It was honestly the best shrimp scampi I ever had in Vegas. They give you warm bread at the table with butter and also olive oil & balsamic vinegar. Tip: Make sure you ask for extra bread if you order the Shrimp Scampi! After dining here that first time me and my husband came back that same month. So for Mother's Day yesterday I told my family that I wanted the Shrimp scampi for dinner lol! Glad we came the food was all amazing and my girls enjoyed it as well. Only thing was one of my daughter's ordered the Caesar Salad with grilled as her main course. She said the chicken was a little dry, but the salad was very good. Service was great all three times that I've come. Each time I've come I've made reservations and when I arrived we were seated immediately. Our waiters were very attentive and made sure our water was filled at all times. The ambiance is very nice. If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. We had reservations for my birthday, and the experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. When we entered, the hostess loudly asked if we had a reservation. My husband responded yes, but instead of seating us, she continued chatting with a waitress who was already clearly overwhelmed with multiple tables. When she finally returned, she told us, "She'll be with you soon, she already has three tables," -- which left us confused about whether we should follow her or wait. My husband had to ask, to which she casually replied, "Yes." Despite several open tables, we were seated right next to the kitchen entrance -- hardly ideal for a special occasion. Our waitress quickly apologized and said she was tied up. After sitting for about 15 minutes without service, another waiter approached and asked if we had been helped. We explained the situation, and our waitress, overhearing the conversation, made an unprofessional cutting remark to him. It took another 10-15 minutes just to place our drink orders, and yet another 20 minutes to receive them along with our appetizers. I had ordered a half Caesar salad with chicken and a bowl of soup, while my family ordered full entrees. Instead of bringing the salad with my meal as I requested, she brought it out first -- and without the chicken. By the time the soup finally arrived, the salad was wilted and unappetizing. Although the waitress apologized, the entire experience felt careless and disappointing -- especially considering my family had mentioned it was a birthday dinner. Unfortunately, the poor service continued all the way through our departure. As we left, the hostess stood with her arms crossed, chatting with another worker -- no acknowledgment, no thank you, nothing. Inside the Pass Casino is this nice little upscale Italian restaurant. Menu choices include pasta, chicken, steak and salmon. I had the short ribs over pasta. The sauce had a heavy tomato base with a nice subtle flavor. The three short-ribs were tender and flavorful. There was more than I could eat in one sitting so it will be leftovers for dinner tomorrow. My partner had the salmon and risotto with a side of brandy mushrooms. He really enjoyed it although he found it a bit salty for his taste. I thought the prices were good, especially with a Groupon. Menu prices are $20 to $40 for a nice variety of choices. So, we have out of town friends visiting & saw on news that the Eldorado had been remodeled, so we figured to try out the new Italian restaurant. There was eight in our party & we knew we'd have to be separated. The hostess Audrey, got us as close as possible, considering "social distance" rules. Thank you Audrey! Vladimir was our waiter & did a great job. First he explained the items on the menu, took our drink order & brought a basket of different bread slices, accompanied by a dip of olive oil & balsamic vinegar. I ordered the pork chop dinner & Oh. My. God! It was a damn good meal! The thickest chop I've ever seen! Juicy, tender & very flavorful. It arrived with asparagus & roasted potatoes, but the chop was the star of the show. The Mrs ordered cheese ravioli that came to the table piping hot, covered in a creamy vodka sauce. She also ordered the anti pasta salad that was big enough to share with the whole table. Delicious! Our friends ordered chicken parmigiana, lasagna & more & each said their meals were just great. For desert, our table shared a large chunk of tiramisu. Again, it was just downright tasty. The Mrs & I aren't much on gambling but, we will be back to The Pass & have another meal at the Ristorante & I HIGHLY recommend it to you to try. Get the pork chop! We came here to celebrate my brother's birthday last night. The food was amazing, we started off with the calamari which had a nice spicy aioli that I really enjoyed. Our mains were Chicken Marsala and Chicken Parmesan. I had the Marsala which was great but realized I enjoyed the Parmesan a little better, so next time I eat here, I'll be ordering that. They serve bread to start and we had an amazing cheesecake for dessert. I left feeling overly content, but when I go out I usually like to try every part of a menu. If you frequent water street and the surrounding areas, I recommend coming here. Needed a last minute Reservation for Valentine's Day and was pleasantly surprised by Ristorante Italiano. The only negative was having to walk through the smoky casino to get there. And the restaurant is connected/inside the casino so the smoke lingers a bit before you are able to get into the atmosphere/wine/food/etc. Food and service were top notch. Waitress super attentive and perceptive(she ordered our dessert without us having to ask) We ordered the bruschetta for an app, maybe the best we've ever had. It was warm, crispy, flavorful. Due to Ash Wednesday we didn't try any meat related dishes. But had the shrimp scampi(jumbo shrimp in an amazing wine sauce) and lobster ravioli (in a crab sauce. Decadent and delicious). I couldn't get a same day reservation at Azzurra Cocina so we decided to try here. The other reviews were really good. The only thing I can guess is anyone who wrote a 5 star review has never eaten good Italian food. I wanted to like it and believe that the old El Dorado Casino has been upgraded since it's now The Pass Casino, but, sadly, it's not. Not much has changed at all. It is small and quiet, which was a plus, and our waitress was on top of things, so that's where the 2 stars comes from. The bruschetta was very tasty, except the bread was soaked, actually dripping, with oil. There was a puddle of oil under the bruschetta. The baked ziti was flavorless and served in a cast iron dish which imparted a metallic taste to the food. The sauce was lacking seasoning, the sausage was so mild as to be tasteless and I have no idea what was in the meatball it was so bland. My wife had the chicken marsala. With the exception of the cast iron dish, the comments are about the same; bland and flavorless. We won't be going back and I do not recommend eating there. read more

The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was presented in an appealing manner and was delicious. We begin our dinner with wine and appetizers; crisped prosciutto wrapped shrimp and ensalata caprese. I had one of the Valentine's Day dinner specials offered, seafood lasagna, which our server, Johnny, highly recommended. My fiancé had the spare ribs papardelle. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere. The menu has recently been updated. Now the cafe next door closes on weekend evenings so this restaurant has an updated menu with half Italian selections and half cafe selections. That was a bit of a turnoff. The service was fair, but it was fairly busy. I'd rate the food 5/10, service 7/10 and value 6/10. read more
