We used this company before and was happy with the service, however now 2+years later they are not! We had an issue with cold air leaking around the system they installed. We asked them to come out to look and fix if need be. The technician came out but not able to "fit" (their words not mine) and could not fix the problem. They told us we had to call another company to come fix the issue. To add insult to injury we were charged $175 for this "service". We called the office to question and the lady was so rude, didn't care about this issue, and was nasty. I will pay for this non service, however I will never use this company again, and when recommending when asked will turn away ANY and ALL to from this company. read more

I would like to say that the young man who came out and reattached my air duct was polite and professional. The problem has to do with the billing. Shortly after he left I got a call from Jeanine in billing. The amount was high (about double) from what I thought, so I asked her and she replied that it was for 3.5 hours of service. She reiterated that it included commute time for the serviceman and also loading his truck with necessary supplies. Minimal supplies were needed. According to Google we live 12 minutes from their office. Even round trip should take 25-30 minutes. So here is the timeline: The repairman arrived at my house promptly at 8:10. He worked until 9:40. That's 1.5 hours. Factor in 30 minutes for the commute and that equals 2 hours! According to Jeanine's timeline The young man would have showed up to work at 7:00 AM, loaded his truck with supplies which he didn't need until 7:55, drove to my house at 8:10, worked until 9:40, drove back to the office by 9:55, handed in his paperwork, only to have Jeanine call me at 10:30 to equal 3.5 hours. Heat pump wasn't working, and our usual company wasn't available. Called Sheet Metal, and they came out a couple days later. Before the technician even opened up the heat pump he recommended that we replace the heat pump. He then opened it and found it to be low on Freon and that best plan was to replace. We called around, and found someone to check the system right and found a simple part replacement. Total repair was $600 versus whatever a new pump would cost. Call Sheet Metal if you want to be told to replace whatever you have. That information is a low low $150. Waste of time and money. read more

Mike & his roofing crew are some of the hardest working guys I know. They worked on my 1920's house complex roof and did an excellent job. Great job with clean up too. I'll use them again. I can't speak as highly about the furnace dept however. I used them a few yrs back & was very happy. But this time around, I had the furnace cleaned & serviced (as it was old) to the tune of $160. Kept smelling something gassy, called the gas company (3 hrs after the service), they red tagged it & turned it off. Said I could have been killed in my sleep as the exhaust was being blown thru the vents. When I called the office, the manager listened but offered no solution or reimbursement of the service call. Guess the $160 is worth more than the $3000 sale on the new furnace. So a BIG yes on the roofing dept & a BIG NO for the heating dept. from me. read more

They installed my furnace and heat pump back in 2012. Called them for a routine service for both units. Told me I was too far away. When I questioned about this, she went on about how several of their locations had closed. I pointed out the location that did the installation was still open. Still not willing to come and service their own products. My guess, they only want the big ticket jobs. Had our furnace and heat pump installed in May 2015. Called today, March 20, 2017 to make a routine service appointment. I was told that Kent is too far for them to service, even though they installed it. I then asked for a recommendation for a company that could do the servicing. They were unable to give me a recommendation. Very disappointed. read more

Needed a temporary tarp on part of my house for a leaky roof and a bid for roof replacement. Mike sent out a crew to do the tarping (I appreciated that). I asked for a ballpark estimate from one of the guys. His reply was a few hundred. Mike didn't discuss the tarping cost or invoice until after another bid was chosen for the roof. I had two others, 3000-4000 less for the same roof install. He seemed upset, saying that maybe we could have worked something out if I would have given him a chance. I'd rather have a realistic and fair cost estimate, or bid (or bill for services rendered) to start with, rather than waiting to see if a high bid is rejected and then talking about what might have been done for the customer. Chehalis Sheet Metal invoiced the tarping for 6 hours at 105 per + materials and tax. I (was surprised) and questioned the invoice and Mike said we could discuss it, but he didn't get back to me. I received a second, past due invoice, so I paid it to avoid hassle. Mike also said that if I would have taken his bid there would have been no charge for the tarp...So he wouldn't really discuss adjusting the invoice, but would have eaten the $840 if I took his bid? I feel like he was less than honest and upfront. For all I knew I would have paid for the roof and then been billed for the tarp...A bit of sticker shock...I'd never paid to have part of a roof covered with plastic before (5/12 with no contour on back side of ranch style). Trust is important when hiring a contractor and things didn't seem right. I don't know that I'd recommend this company to a friend at this point. read more

These guys do NOT service what they sell nor do they have the basic skills to answer and book service appointment's. let the other reviews do all the talking. First got info during a county fair, and asked for a person to contact me. Mark, in sales, called and set up appt. He came out when we wanted, reviewed what system would work for us, we agreed and signed papers. On the day we wanted, Tyler came out to start the install, Paul came out and wired it up. Tyler showed us how to work the unit and the remote, and that was that. Good communication all around from office, Mara to Mark, Tyler and Paul. The unit works as promised. No mess. read more

I contacted Mike and provided photos and measurements of the piece I needed fabricated. I didn't get a quote after 2 weeks, so I messaged him again and was told it would be ready in about a day. We have installed 4 systems (heating and cooling) at 4 separate houses in the past 10 years one of them is a business. We had our business furnace completely shut off in the dead of winter. When we called on Wednesday the lady told us they would not help or come look at the unit until the following Tuesday. I explained to her we have a busy salon/spa and our clients cannot be sitting with wet hair in 50 degrees. She DID NOT CARE wow after 10 years of being loyal to a company we were shocked. We moved into Olympia Heating and cooling and they came same day! Thank you to that company we will be faithful to Olympia from this day forwarded. read more

Updated. I had initially written a less than flattering review based mostly on their mark-up of parts. After numerous estimates from other companies, it seem that most (if not all) companies out there have a mark-up on parts that are near 900%. It seems to be the industry standard. II have to agree with ac that their HVAC department is less than stellar. i had them replace my heating system. All I can say is "stay away" from this side of their business. I also concur that their management could care less! All they cared about was getting paid. read more

We had a crew from the Olympia shop upgrade our old system and install a new one. They arrived on time, ready to work. The were cautious with our property and paid close attention to the asthetic aspect of the installation as well. The crew was courteous and took time to explain things to my husband and I and the job was finished exactly when they said it would be. The initial bid was clear, exactly as discussed, and there were no hidden costs or surprises. Jason (sales) and Justin (crew leader) did an excellent job with our project. Check your invoice before you sign. I had ductless heating installed. I love my heating system. I would not recommend CSM. They messed up on my invoice (it was almost $2,000 less then the estimate) I mentioned it to the person doing the install, the manager and the finance lady at the office. None of them said anything about a change. Then, the next day I got a call from the office stating that i would need to sign new documents because the price was wrong on the invoice. Then, the price went up $138 from the estimate. I asked why and then I was told she grabbed the entirely wrong persons estimate... There is so much more to this story, there were several more mistakes made and they still haven't made it right. They legal document I signed has stuff crossed out on it. That makes me uncomfortable, so i asked to sign new documentation and they still haven't done that. I understand people make mistakes but a company makes that right by apologizing and giving a small discount of some sort. However, i had my unit installed 12 days ago and I still haven't signed correct documents. CSM has not made this right or offered any type of discount. I will not use them in the future or recommend them. read more
