I ordered vanilla bean, fruity cereal, strawberry cheesecake, red velvet, cookies and cream, chocolate, pistachio, birthday cake, salted caramel , and Italian cream . Salted caramel and Italian cream were huge hits! Also have to note, I initially wanted to get a custom cake but was struggling to find a gf bakery that could create a custom cake within a 48 hour window, hence finding chelles macarons as the alternate option which was an absolute blessing in disguise. I initially placed the order with the Plano location, unaware it was closed on sundays, panicked and called the Dallas location. Thankfully, the sweet girl was able to fulfill the order with the same pickup time and even offered curbside delivery (not the standard service they offer but parking was impossible Sunday morning). I had never had a macaron. A savory leaning person, I rarely order desserts when dining out (don't groan!) as I am always full. If I go somewhere specifically for dessert or for coffee and a pastry, well now, that's different. A cookie like this one, though, has been catching my eye for a long time and I had heard good things about Chelles Macarons. My husband asked me what a macaron was and what I did know was that it's an almond meringue cookie filled with different flavor fillings. The fillings are made of buttercreams, ganaches, or jams according to Chelles' website. Worth mentioning is that Chelles also educates people further in case they thought it might be a macaroon they were selling. "A macaroon (note the extra "o") is a crunchy American cookie made with coconut." They make their macarons from scratch in their Plano location and transport them to the shop in the Dallas Farmer's Market. I bought mine with a Groupon for an introductory bargain price. Usually the tiny colorful cookies are 6 for $11 or 12 for $21. The only problem you will have at their counter is making up your mind. Since I had no idea what I was getting into, I chose from the heart asking my husband to do the same. You could probably not go wrong. Our mango, lemon, red velvet, Italian cream (2) and passion fruit cookies were crispy crunchy with fresh beautiful creamy interiors and were true to the flavor names without tasting artificial. Your cookie purchases will last a week in the fridge and a month in the freezer if you buy in greater quantities. They are slightly less expensive if you do. Chelles ships and even delivers. I love that they're at the Farmer's Market. It's a light option for something sweet other than gelato and ice cream; especially as the temperatures grow cooler. This cute little shop is inside the Dallas Farmers Market. They were handing out samples of birthday cake which was too sweet for me but I enjoyed my more traditional flavor of pistachio and I couldn't resist cinnamon peaches and cream. There are a lot of varieties here. I love macarons and this is a must go! It was only about $2 per macaron and my girlfriend and I were able to share two flavors: pistachio and red velvet. So this is a small shop inside the Farmer's Market, so it can get quite crowded, but I would recommend going here on the weekend. The line will be pretty quick (and there are sometimes samples as well!) I do not recommend the macarons here. They are located in the Dallas Farmer's Market building. I tried the strawberry shortcake, lemon, and raspberry flavors. Some of the macaron flavors like the lemon berry were already sold out by 2 pm. They had samples sitting on the shelf that I should have tried before buying. Definitely sample before buying. The macarons tasted cake like and were kind of hard like they weren't freshly made. The filling tasted more like icing than anything else. I've tried Ladurée, Lette, and Bottega Louie macarons and these don't even come close. read more

I am OBSESSED with macarons. I have tried macarons from all over in Dallas to try to find the most authentic and tasty macarons. Joy Macarons are definitely the best. I ventured out and tried Chelles but I'm a little disappointed. The cream on the inside left me with an oil taste in my mouth. It was not good. The inside of the macarons all tasted the same. No variety of fillings. I love that Joy has multiple ganaches, curds, and cream filling. My favorite flavor is pistachio. I ordered three of those, three vanilla bean, one red velvet, one earl gray, one Italian cream, one lemon, and one salted caramel. I wasn't impressed with any of them. The pistachio tasted like maple syrup. I was really bummed since that's my favorite. It had no pistachio taste. They are many other options in Dallas that are more authentic and the same price. I have celiac so macarons are my favorite dessert. I know Chelles has other dessert options that I cannot try and maybe those are better than the macarons. read more
