Inn is like a museum. Room was huge with nice amenities. The parking lot is a nightmare with homeless people and riff raff day and night. The noise level is insane. There were cars circling the parking lot at 2am with radios blasting music so loud, it felt like a zombie apacolypse invasion. There were police and fireworks and people running around at night like a free-for-all. Did not feel safe here at all. Couldn't wait to leave. read more

My wife and I spent a couple of nights here in April. The staff is very friendly, but not real knowledgeable about the area. Fortunately, we are from NJ and know AC fairly well. The proximity to the Tropicana is nice and having a parking permit helps. Unfortunately, the Tropicana is not what it once was, so you will need to drive up to the newer casinos. We had a first floor room that was adequate. Be aware if the folks in the room upstairs get busy (YKWIM), you will unavoidably hear EVERYthing. The bifold bathroom door was falling apart and the toilet is pretty low to the ground, so you'd best be limber. The shower is quite small and the curtain was ripped as well, so don't put the towel on the floor during your shower. Bring your own soap if you can. The breakfast is good, although more Hampton Inn than traditional B&B. Keep in mind that it's a lower price point than the resort hotels, although paying more is never a guarantee of better. read more

Just here to rate their pub. Great dive bar with two separate bars (one in the front and other in the back). They also have a separate jukebox for each bar area. Reasonably priced drinks. I recommend getting it bottled cause draft beers aren't that cold. Great spot to watch sports and stop by for lunch or dinner. Their Cheeseburgers are excellent. Sometimes later at night the crowd can be a bit loud and obnoxious though. I think they stay opened til at least 2am. read more

Bartender's service was slow. We waited for about 5 minutes before she even acknowledged us. Ordered a coke with wings and fries. Soda was flat. Wings were good amd fries were great! Tried a sprite and that was flat too. After we finished eating, the bartender never came back over to us for a good 10 minutes. Overall good food and average service. read more

Had to write about this place Bc there are a few Restaurants named Chelsea and can get confusing. This Chelsea Pub and In is a hotel plus restaurant. It's right outside of the Tropicana on street level. The place is has a nice Irish pub feel to it. Long bar, pool tables and a nice outdoor patio to eat outside. Me an some coworkers came here for lunch and we we not disappointed. Drinks were flowing. And not that pricey. I had a double makers and unsweetened ice tea with a lemon one of my favorite summertime sippers. The food here was very good and during this pandemic hats off to the chef. I got a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger was flame grilled to a perfect medium. And the fries were nice and crispy with a light batter and soft and fluffy in the middle. The wings were also delicious they had a nice crunch and lightly coated with a sweet and spicy glaze. It's worth a shot to eat here if ur in the mood for a burger and wings. And it's a plus if your bartender is Toni. She was the sweetest and kindest bartender. She also made my drink perfect. Thanks Toni. I was there on a Sunday night a couple of weeks ago to get something to eat. Had fried mozzarella, super tasty. Got a large pizza with extra cheese, mushrooms and onions. Top five all time on my list. Service was terrible, at about 10:30 pm to make sure the kitchen was open, Hispanic lady answers, "Hello." No greeting, no identification that it was the Chelsea Inn. I asked if this was the Chelsea, she said Hello again. I hung up and went over anyway since it's only four blocks from my apartment. She was my waitress too, did OK, but could have been much better. The idiot behind the bar that night was more interested in watching the Giants lose on TV than doing his job. Only served me a couple of soft drinks but was going to leave him a tip anyway. He disappeared when I could have used another refill right before I was going to leave. Took the tip back. When I walked out the front door I got hit with a cloud of his cigarette smoke because he was standing right there beside the door. Went in 30 minutes ago at about 3:05 am to get something to eat since I was told the kitchen is open all night by the friend that took me there a month ago. Door was open, walked in, sat at bar, was told by another patron that they were closed. Same a-hole bartender comes out, says they're closed. I asked why. "Because I want to go home. We're closed. I don't know how you got in here the door should have been locked." Real nice attitude, but I guess it's just typical of a dive bar in AC. You hire ex-cons and hope they don't kill anyone when they ask a question. Good food and bad service and a-hole attitude from the person that should haveapologized for closing early instead of making me feel unwelcome = I'll never go back. Spend your money elsewhere. I hear Tony's Baltimore Grill a few blocks away is pretty good too. Will try it the next time. read more

Amazing change of pace! We decided to go to AC for our anniversary, but didn't want to put up with the loud casinos. We decided to check out the Chelsea Pub and Inn. What a great choice! The staff was very attentive and the room was spotless. Everything was very smooth and the old victoria house was creaky and unique. Everything you would expect from a house that old. The check in was smooth and the staff was smiling and wonderful. Breakfast left a little to be desired, but it was nice and tasty. They could have had a little more choices. But it was wonderful. The bar attached to the building was quite interesting. It was HUGE and open 24 hours. There were pool tables to play and the drinks were great. I don't know if I would stay anywhere else. The price was good for a last minute decision to go. read more

Stayed at this very charming authentic 1880 Victorian Inn during the 4th. Our room on 2nd floor was very clean with a comfortable bed, TV, new AC unit & full sized shower. Nice outdoor seating areas with plenty of free parking in their adjacent lot. Located 2 blocks from the boardwalk across the street from the Tropicana (with a Dunkin' Donuts 1/2 block away). The Inn keeper Renee was very sweet & the complementary breakfast had something for everyone. i enjoyed looking at the original vintage furnishings & old photos of Atlantic City hung on the walls. (Be advised there are no elevators with lots of stairs & the surrounding area is not the safest after dark) but if you love quaint B & B's you'll love the Chelsea Inn. read more

Was there for 3 wonderful nights with my fianceé. Running away from the hectic crowd of nyc. Needing time to relax and rest from the noise pollution, is exactly what we got here at the Chelsea. Our room was very clean and more like a home. Love this place, people are quiet respectful and friendly. They have a house dog, which I fell in love with. He liked affection, so I pet him (: The place is stunning, with beautiful art throughout the house, clean bright and very spacious. I found it interesting that there wasn't a separate option just for the restaurant, Chelsea Pub, so here it goes. I visited this spot one time many years ago and absolutely despised it. We decided to give it a shot last night because I read an article that said it was remodeled and under new ownership / management. It's like 80% of the Pub is remodeled and it looks good but the remaining 20% is still an eye sore and right out of an 80's movie. Cocktails were reasonably priced however served in small old school glasses which truly then makes them not so reasonably priced if I think about it. Onto the food! We ordered a hot pretzel with beer cheese dipping sauce. OMG that pretzel was BOMB! So soft and the right amount of salt and THREE dipping options. We also ordered hot and honey wings and the buffalo sliders with fries. Both were also PRETTY GOOD! The wings weren't heavily breaded and the flavor was good! The fries were perfectly crisp and seasoned and the sliders were good too! Service was hit or miss and it's the weird service you see from time to time at bars where you order cocktails from the bartender and then food from a waitress. I was skeptical when we walked in. It's directly across the street from Tropicana and about a block from the beach . The set up feels like a bed and breakfast but it's not. Very eclectic style. Window unit air conditioners. Claw foot tub in our room! Staff was very nice and professional. Breakfast was great. Not a continental breakfast ...like a real breakfast with fruit and cheese to accompany the eggs and sausage. The only thing I would change.... the coffee ..sorry I know what seems petty, but you would change the game if the coffee was better. Very clean! Cleaner than most hotels! This B&B is a great find if you don't want to stay in one of the casinos. It's very unassuming from the outside but the room (the very blue, beach themed room 5) was just fine. Very clean, a little lopsided, comfy bed, flat screen tv, wifi. The bar downstairs was very dated but we redeemed our free drink coupon there and ended up coming back for a late night drink. My boyfriend and I spent the night at The Chelsea Pub and Inn on 8/24/15. What a lovely establishment, is like visiting relative's house, laid back not stuffy and comfortable place. I had the lovely opportunity of staying here with the bf because he had a work related convention nearby. If you're looking for a quaint homey experience with the ultimate dopeness of being right next to a casino this is the spot you're looking for! I had never stayed at a B&B previously so this was a welcome adventure. You will feel like an adventure is on the way when you walk in..the downstairs area is filled with books and DVDs you can use while you're there as well as some lovely lounge seating. Your room will have a mini fridge and microwave, cups and ice container. Cozy bed (mine was a queen) and that's it. Very movie set like. Simple...like your house but not your house. Each room had a different smell, which I enjoyed. The Inn has special pricing during the week as well as the weekend. At the time of this post, you'd be able to get a Friday thru Sunday for 250 which is pretty popping considering a room at Tropicana is almost half that only for one night. During the week I saw a special for 150 for 2 nights. Can't beat that for fast living. The staff was super nice and let you be. There's plenty of space outside to smoke in their patio area. At the time of this review the actual bar attached was under renovation but should be open soon. The breakfast was decent but I'm not really a bagel person so I can't truly elaborate. This place is amazing for the value and location. It's literally next to the beach! This would be so fun during the summertime! And it's close to all the major city roads..so liquor store...7eleven..Dunkin..all nearby. You will guaranteed have a great time here. read more

Don't let the modest front fool you --like it almost did me! This quaint bed and breakfast was a pleasant surprise nestled among casinos and construction in AC. The interior captures the essence of an inviting Victorian decor-style home--complete with a sitting room (where you can pick out books/movies/magazines during your stay), a dining room for complementary breakfast, and unique/individualized rooms. We booked room 215--1 queen bed (which pretty much took up the entire room) complete with a private bathroom/fridge/microwave and parking lot view. At midnight, I swear the power went out and the tour buses hanging out near Tropicana were running all night--think incessant rattling motors. The least of our worries was the pub aka a "24 hour bar." We checked out the pub, stayed for drinks and people watching, then returned to our room without hearing a peep from the 1 am raucous party down stairs. And side note, the "complementary cocktail" people have been talking about doesn't exist. Booking through a third party, the stay was paid for all upfront with the reservation (if you book directly, there is a down payment). Check out 12 pm (glory yes!). Free parking. Cable TV is eh--we were only able to get two channels. Microwave/fridge/toiletries/hair dryer available in room. Walking distance to the boardwalk, Tropicana casino, 7-11, liquor stores... We didn't interact with the staff that much--but everyone we did meet was helpful and gracious. Absolute gem of an Inn. Highly recommend!! read more

This bar is a little strange. It's dark and kinda dirty. My beer was sour and it was clear they hadn't changed the tap or cleaned the tap line in a long time. The food was very good however and they did have a TouchTunes. Good wings and a decent cheesesteak. I can't begin to describe how much this place exceeded my expectations. My friend and I came down for Warped Tour and had booked a room for Friday and Saturday. We got checked in and when we saw the room were astounded. The decor was cute and had a historic feel to it. There were many places to sit through the bed and breakfast and I was very intrigued with the decor in general. After Friday night, it was apparent that we were going to need to stay another night. We asked about getting our room for another night and were told it would be more expensive so my friend opted to pay for a cheaper room that was upstairs and the plan was to check out on Sunday morning and check back in to a different room later on that day. Sunday morning rolled around and we had walked over to Dunkin to grab something different for breakfast and we happened to run into who I assumed was the owner. She stopped and asked us if everything was ok because she didn't see us at breakfast. I really appreciated the personal touch she took to make sure if we had any issues that she could address them. At that point she started to talk to us about how we were planning on checking out that morning and told us to just stay in our room. We let her know that we had paid for a cheaper room and that it would not be a problem but she insisted we stay another night in the room we were in. I can't begin to explain how great it was and how appreciative we were that we wouldn't have to pack up our stuff and unpack it again. Besides the incredible quality service, the staff here is so nice and friendly and the breakfast is really top notch. They have a variety of cheeses (Swiss, Colby, Brie, Gouda, etc), fresh fruits, freshly baked breads, HOMEMADE French toast (my personal favorite) eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, coffee, tea. This place was by far the most amazing find of the last five years of travel. A little gem hidden between the concrete casino mammoths of AC, I would have never imagined being so pleasantly surprised by a place which from the outside looks more than modest. Every single room has a different décor. Every corner in that house is a piece of history and carries a story behind it, as the objects in the inn, from rocking chairs, to plates, to tribal masks on the wall, books in French and English, have been gathered but the owner's travels around the world, throughout her life. Everything you look at is unique, almost like a house-museum. Where do you even see that nowadays anymore? And the cute flower garden in the back! I'm in between 3 and 4 stars here. The Inn is very reasonably priced, located about a block and a half from the boardwalk, basically next to the Trop. They are pet friendly with no additional "pet fee" and there is free parking. The rooms were much larger than we had expected and very clean. The bed was surprisingly comfy. The linens and towels were all very soft and smelt nice & clean. We had the bright pink room with the shower in the middle of the room. I thought it was quirky and fun, my husband was more put off by it. From what I understand, most of the rooms are painted in bright colors so keep that in mind if you're easily offended by loud colors. The Inn is old and charming, all of the common areas were very clean. Being away from the casinos and even the short distance off the boardwalk, you get a very authentic Atlantic City feel here. read more

Never again. We were staying at the Chelsea Hotel across the street and decided to come here on our way back to the room after a night of drinking. I do not have high expectations of food, especially when I'm drunk. But I have never, ever tasted such awful food. We all ordered boneless wings and they were terrible. The chicken was dried up, and tasted nothing like either chicken or hot sauce. Not only was the food unforgettably awful, but the bar itself is crap. They haven't put work into the place in years, and it shows. I will never step foot in here again. There's too many good/decent bars in the area to give this place my business. read more
