RUN. This is a Chinese joint that imitates and insults the Japanese, Korean and Thai culture of good food. Nothing is authentic as I sampled different appetizers. You would think you hit the jackpot with different inspired options... but I suggest you explore elsewhere. Example: Chicken on a stick should be skewered and sauced. What I got was a thick single cut chunk of meat that encased the stick! You will be grossed out. read more

I have had a craving for some good Chinese food for a while, but have had trouble finding it especially since moving to the Orlando area. I haven't found any I really loved since living in a different city back in 2012! Gotten plenty of recommendations and always seem to come up disappointed. I'm pretty picky and consider myself a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to Asian Food, I have frequently visited overseas often and grew up in Atlanta where it is in abundance as well. I've had my fair share of Asian food, and had a really hard time finding god Chinese in particular. I visited Cheng's on a recent recommendation from a salon where they all raved about it. So I finally decided to give it a try. First, I looked them up online and found out you can easily order off of their menu and customize it and add notes which made it incredibly convenient- first thing in their favor. Takes a lot of the issue out with calling in and them not understanding your order or getting it wrong. Still, I'll admit I didn't really have that high of expectations. I arrived to pick up my order which was ready when I arrived (pretty prompt since I live less than 10 minutes away), the staff was very friendly and everything seemed to be right with my order. I ordered something simple, a lunch portion of cashew chicken which came with pork fried rice, egg drop soup and an egg roll for an incredibly reasonable price. The portion was quite large, I tend to eat a good bit and I couldn't finish all of it. And lo and behold, I loved it! From start to finish every bit of it was excellent! Best I've ever had? No, but this is definitely the best I've had since moving to FL and in years. I didn't have to add any soy sauce or other sauces, it was delicious just the way it was. I can't speak for the Thai and the Sushi, but after this experience I can't wait to go back and try that now! read more

This restaurant has an amazing variety of fresh sushi along with traditional asian dishes. The ambience is appealing but the TVs on the walls are a distraction with the latest news (not exactly an entertaining evening). Service is very good and seating is comfortable. Dinner prices are average and food quality is outstanding. On this visit, I managed to eat the hot & sour soup (A+), key west roll (A), egg roll (A+), Mongolian beef (B - not very spicy but was extremely tender), and pork fried rice (B). Ordered won ton soup was too salty .. then special fried rice and the rice was hard they use green peas and carrots (the fronzen ones) no bean sprouts Here .... I was ripped off when I ordered on line because the prices they charge in the restaurant when they deliver the food is not the same as the menu price on line. I used to get food from Cheng's Asian Bistro several times a month but the last three times they messed up my order, and then tonight, they ripped me off. I am finished. They never even offered to make it up to me, even though the discrepancy is theirs. read more

I decided to try delivery. The Japanese girl on the phone was polite and efficient. Used a $5 off coupon. She said it would be 45 minutes. Piping hot food arrived in 20 min. Very good. Will order again. A little more expensive than I'd like, but still a good value, so I give them 4 stars. read more

Chengs is amazing. The food is great and fresh. We typically get the Alaska roll and miso soup. It's locally owned , the owner is always there. Our server , Mary, is extremely helpful. We always have excellent service . You should go! read more

First, they charge way more than you should ever half to pay for Chinese food. Second, it's not nearly anywhere good enough to charge that much. Third, the woman at the counter will try to steal your money. If you give her a $20 and only pay $15 for your order, she won't give you your change back. She will say thank you and try to keep the money as a tip. Don't eat here, unless you want mediocre food and your money stolen from you. read more

A bit overpriced. Some of their entrees are $2 - $3 more than other restaurants charge. The food quality is outstanding. They also have a sushi chef on staff. I have never had a bad meal here yet. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. read more

As far as local Chinese houses are concerned, this is one I definitely keep in the back of my pocket. It offers a wider selection of food compared to other local Asian dining restaurants surrounding it, including some sushi, Japanese and Thai dishes. In a pinch, I've been known to pick up their Pad Thai and it's pretty enjoyable. All in all ingredients and food wise, it's very similar to neighboring Chinese houses, just in a slightly wider variety. Overall the orders are made fairly quickly and so far I've had no issues with the food, it really just comes down to a matter of what type of Asian cuisine you're seeking out. If you're looking for a new spot to try for pick up or delivery, it's definitely worth a thought. If you're looking for more of a "dining" experience for like a date night, try PF Changs or something similar in nature. read more

This place has a great little buffet! Not the biggest in the area, but the food is solid quality and, most of all, kept fresh (unlike some of those places where I think the dinner buffet was there since lunch). I like their menu items, as well. The person who called this "the worst ever" must have had a personal issue with this place. Even if it wasn't his cup of tea, this place is above average for Chinese in the Ocoee / Winter Garden area. read more

This place is kind of ruining my life; I can't stop ordering from here! I'm addicted. They have EVERYTHING - Chinese food, sushi, Thai food, the works - and it's all delicious. The portions are great and the prices are reasonable. My family owns an asian-fusion restaurant too, so I'm super picky about how things should be made. Almost everywhere disappoints me, but not Cheng's! I wouldn't order from anywhere else in Orlando. It's nice to be able to order from someone whose food tastes like my stepmom's cooking. :) read more

My husband and I went to Chengs for lunch, and we found it to be a very good experience. The lunch specials were reasonably priced: $5 to $10, which included soup or a won ton, egg roll and the entree. Beer and wine is also available and also reasonably priced. The servings were very large, and we found it delicious. I ordered a spicy dish.....and spicy it was!! My husband ordered the egg foo yung and also liked it very much. In fact, the servings were large enough to bring half home and have for dinner. Definitely will return. read more

Just threw 60$ down the drain. Horrible sushi!!! We are new to the area, and are never ordering from there again!! Yuk! For one, the sushi was NOT fresh at all....the rolls were tiny. The tempura rolls were mushy, and everything was bland. No flavor at all. I don't know why we ordered from this place. We only tried the sushi, so I can't say how the other food is, but I don't even want to know. So annoyed! read more

Two weeks ago on a Saturday I went there with my family for lunch. We chose the lunch special and ordered two sushi rolls. Fried rice was with sasao, however, some sasao pork pieces were black already and tasted very old. Apparently the egg roll was pre-fried and reheated after sat for a long time and from box. We just had dinner here and it was terrific. We are new in the area and we are from Brooklyn NY where we are used to great Chinese food. We have tried a few places here locally and have been disappointed. Well Chengs does not disappoint.......we started with sushi which was very good, onto the BBQ ribs which were meaty and very flavorful, the hot and sour soup was nice and spicy, the dumpling wrappers were nice and thin, the orange beef and lomein were also very nice. Best Asian takeout in the area, and we've tried them all. Their rockstar dish - the steamed dumplings. Great fried rice and excellent sushi. Prices are the best of the lot as well. Kind of hard to find in the location they're in, where a lot of other places have failed, but they've hung on and it's pretty clear why.
