I received a mailer offer from Cherrington Dental for an exam, x-ray, and cleaning for $59, and based on the great Yelp reviews my partner decided to give them a try. I called to make him an appointment a few days later, and when we got there, the facility was beautiful and clean, and the waiting area has freshly baked cookies and water. The assistant showed him to the waiting room, and on the way showed us all of the certifications of the doctors, their modern machine that can do same-day crowns, and gave a free reusable water bottle filled with some gum, drink powder, and chapstick. I was very impressed and assumed that the experience would be great. However, my partner had a very bad experience. The appointment was for 1020am, and they did the x-ray, then he waited an hour, and then they did the exam and told him he had to come back to do the cleaning and the earliest opening was in two hours. How disrespectful of people's time to assume they can come in two visits. Why couldn't they do the cleaning during this hour where they had him waiting for nothing? They never told us when I made the appointment that it was broken up into two visits - in California for these new patient specials they always do it in one visit. So then he went back a few days later for the cleaning and it was HORRIBLE. Usually there is a dentist who cleans, and then an assistant who mans the suction, but this was one lady doing it all herself. She was not communicative (usually they tell you when they're doing the suction, when to close your mouth, etc, she said nothing) nor detailed (she jumped around from a left tooth to a right tooth when usually they go sequentially), and an overflow of saliva built up in his mouth. Then she POKED his lip with the sharp pick point and didn't even apologize!!! And she was scraping a tooth and missed and scraped his mouth!! Ugh!! How is this person allowed to even clean people's teeth? I'm very disappointed that we didn't get to experience the good dentists that other people refer to in their reviews. My partner was in shock after the appointment and said it was the worst teeth cleaning experience he's ever had. The fact that they have this incompetent tooth cleaner to where they hurt you is unforgiveable. Definitely will not be going back. read more

Everyone is super respectful very kind & patient. I have not had a problem with them yet & im sure it will stay this way. Dr. Cherrington Runs a great team. Finding a great dentist that really cares about me has been so hard living here in Vegas. I've seen several people who truly just don't care about the patient and only care about making the money. I found Cherrington Dental after a lot of research and found that a lot of people recommended this place. Yesterday I saw Dr. Bartolome for a lot of work. 2 crowns and a filling. One of the crowns was prepped somewhere else. They do same day crowns at Cherrington! Wow! right? I felt like I didn't suffer here during all the work being done. I always felt so uncomfortable and other places where I cried after from all the pain and was suffering during the entire procedure. I felt great after Dr. Bartolome finished with me and felt great during the procedure. Also, while I was waiting for my crown etc, everyone was asking me if I needed water or anything to feel more comfortable etc. I felt cared for here. Also, only the doctor "touches" your teeth and drills. While my last provider always left someone else to do it, who isn't even licensed to do it. I highly recommend Cherrington and I'm so happy I found a place like this. (1 tooth prepped somewhere else: I decided to leave that provider because I felt like they didn't care about me and did a horrible job, and I wore my temp crown for 2 months! Just a really disappointing experience with this dental office, overall. One that would make me uncomfortable relying on and trusting them enough to want to go there again in the future. It seems like getting basic dental care shouldn't be so convoluted. I was seen here once before, months ago. I just called in and set up an appointment as a new patient for the following week. Just a check-up with x-rays, and a cleaning. I try to take care of my teeth, and fortunately no real issues were found, making for as uneventful a trip to the dentist as you could ever hope to have. While checking out, I made an appointment for my next cleaning, around 6 months from then. Due to my schedule on the day of that next cleaning recently changing, to the point that it'd be difficult to make it work, I called the office 2 weeks ahead to see what other days they might have available. We ended up finding one that happened to be a bit sooner, less than a week away, which worked for me just fine. Seemed like a simple enough process. Not unlike the countless times I've made an appointment at various business over the years, including this one for that very first visit. However when I arrived a few days later, I was told straight-away that my appointment had been canceled, because I didn't 'confirm' it with them more than 48 hours in advance. They said a text message had been previously sent out for this purpose, including the detail about a confirmation being required in order to not lose the appointment. Stunned, having no recollection of this, I dug through my phone and eventually found the text, sent a day after I'd called to reschedule. It's just a typical message you'd get from just about any Dr's office these days. A reminder of the date and time of the appointment, with a link (or option to reply with a 'C') to confirm, but absolutely nothing about a confirmation being required in order to not lose the appointment, or anything about a confirmation deadline. Never in my life have I had any kind of issue with being seen for an already scheduled Dr's appointment, let alone one being automatically canceled days in advance because I didn't reply to a reminder for the appointment with a confirmation, regardless of whether it included the ability to do so. The person then hedged, saying that well, actually it may not have included anything about a confirmation being required, and that the office had been trying to fix that for a while now. I was then told that if you don't reply to the text that's sent, they'll also call you, just to double-check. The thing is, I've had their number saved in my phone (like you should for any of your healthcare providers) since the first time I was seen by them months earlier, primarily to make sure I wouldn't miss a call or voicemail from their office. But there's no call to be found in my phone's call history from that number, or voicemail left by them (VM hasn't been full). Nor did the person I originally spoke with over the phone mention anything. You'd think they'd say something about it, if it's indeed a vital requirement to ensure a scheduled visit, like the one we'd just made an appointment for, can actually occur. Up to this point things had being getting weirder by the second, with it being pretty hard to believe that whatever kind of system this is that they're using, wouldn't in reality lead to nonsense like this happening fairly often. That, and/or there was perhaps something to a growing sense that whoever was supposed to be in the office for the appointment, just ended up not feeling like it, and this was some kind of ham-fisted form of damage control. I dunno. It's all still pretty mind-boggling. To cap it all off, the next available appointment for just a cleaning was more than 2 months out, which happens to be when I'll likely be out of town. I took that as a loud and clear cue to just cut my loses (time/energy/gas/sanity), and instead be on my way, in search of what's hopefully a smoother, or at the very least more dependable operation. read more

She is so skilled and personable and always a pleasure to see. I always see Dr. Abdelnour, and I think she's fantastic. Post quarantine review: last visit June 2020 I don't have dental insurance and just wanted to get a cleaning so I read all the rave reviews on Groupon and bought a cleaning. They were able to get me in right away. You need an appt and to wait outside due to the quarantine. The office was clean and professional and you can tell that they take great pride in doing good work. The hygienist was very friendly and kind. The doctor was great too. They took time to get to know me and it felt very comfortable. After my cleaning they even gave me a little gift bag of toothpastes and popcorn and a journal! I had my first checkup and cleaning since extensive work by a periodontist last year. It was my first time in the new offices, which opened in October of last year. The new offices are large, spacious and modern. I'm guessing they have doubled their space since leaving the old location. Along with their move, there seems to be a lot of equipment that has been upgraded, as well. Parking is easier and we were able to park our car directly outside the office, which is just inside the parking lot entrance. I felt I had to mention that I was stressed since losing 2 molars at the periodontist last year and it has taken time for everything to heal, hence my delay in getting back to Dr. Cherrington's care. I want to first say that my hygentist was "Kennedy" and she could not have been kinder, more attentive, gentle and patient with me. From my Xrays to the actual cleaning, she was amazing and did a great job in not allowing me to feel sorry for myself. Dr. Bartolome did my checkup and this is the first time she has worked on me. I was really impressed with her patience and kindness to me and I let her know how much I appreciated her. She advised me that I needed a bridge and was very kind to fully explain what it meant in my particular circumstance. She even demonstrated with a model how a bridge is constructed. Angie at the checkout desk was also amazing and very kind to me. I have been coming to this practice for a number of years now and know I am always getting the best advice and most advanced care... but also the kindest and most caring staff to work on me.
