I called to make an apointment today and whoever answered seemed as though I was bothering them. They seemed in a huge hurry to get off the phone. I expressed a few things and was quickly disregarded. She made me an apointment with very little info of mine because again she seemed in a huge rush to hang up. It felt off so I canceled immediately and when I let her know its because of her rushing & lack of responses. And lack of kindness. She just said okay didn't really care. I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of dentist. However, Dr. Gregory and her staff are great. They are caring and knowledgeable. I recently came in here because I had a tooth that was hurting me. They squeezed me in on a day when they were super busy so that they could see what was going on. Unfortunately, I had cracked a tooth which was causing pain. So they schedule a time to follow up and put in a temporary crown on my tooth. It was explained to me what they were going to do and I was made to feel comfortable. When I came back today to get the temporary crown they were sweet and efficient. When I asked if they minded if I listened to music, the answer was of course not a problem. They wanted me to feel comfortable because they understand that going and getting things done can be anxiety riddled. They also offered a remote to watch Netflix on the tv that was attached to the ceiling. It was a really nice touch and a great distraction. The staff here is great. They make sure you are comfortable and understand what's going on. They are also very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist. read more

Today I broke a tooth. My former dentist retired and so I started looking for a new practice. TLC Care was able to squeeze me in same day today in the afternoon. Everyone from front office to back was extremely helpful and welcoming. Being a child in the 50s and 60s, we were traipsed in and out of dental offices where old school old-timers did not encourage patients to be comfortable. Here, I was able to observe the staff with others as well, and it was great to see the kindness and respect for people who may have anxieties. Dr. Gregory and her assistant are very helpful and gentle. All explanations and instructions were clear. I went with an extraction in the office. I was astonished at how painless it was. I found this dental office through Yelp and I am so thankful that I did. Dr. Gregory and her staff are absolutely incredible! After leaving another dental office that I have gone to since I was a child - it has gone downhill - this office is a breath of fresh air. I've never waited more than 5 minutes after my appointment time to be taken back and seen. On more than one occasion, if her staff is busy, Dr. Gregory is the one to take me back and get started which I have never seen done at any other doctor/dentist office. This was great, they took my insurance, were able to schedule an appointment before the new year, staff still wears masks which is great of disability accessibility. When I got there I filled out some paperwork and then was immediately brought back for X-rays. Because of the holidays, there was a technician out so instead Dr. Gregory took my X-rays. It's nice to see a medical professional respect other's time (employee and patient). Dr. Gregory then immediately looked at my X-rays, answer the many questions I had, gave me some referrals. I waited about 3 minutes for the dental hygienist who was so kind. It's been a while since I've been able to go to the dentist and it's the first time I haven't felt judgement about my teeth. My daughter has had a teeth cleaning and as of yesterday(12-12) I had one too!! I'm not gonna lie....its been too long lol. The front desk ladies are very friendly and even caught an error in my paperwork(I accidently said I was pregnant) I wouldn't have gotten x-rays had she not noticed that!! The dental hygenist was very nice and worked hard on my teeth. She was very diligent with my teeth and gentle enough for my 3y/o!! My hubby went in today(12-13) and got a cleaning as well and it looks like he's gonna need a deep cleaing =( After my cleaning Dr. Gregory came in and checked all my teeth out and let me know I have a few too many cavities and I need 2 crowns replaced!!! I'll update my review after I get the dental work done. It's a very comfy office! An 8 year old was literally SCREAMING during my cleaning and the hygenist assured me she was fine n what not. Both time's I've been here I couldn't even get through a magazine article before being called back and I like that!!! The only thing that probably gives me more anxiety than my mother is going to the Dentist and I'm an old US Army 11bc2/13F vet. In fact before today I never really knew what constituted a good dentist. For me, if the dentist was relatively painless and caring I was a happy camper. Today I experienced the Nirvana of dentistry. I visited TLC for a root canal and extraction with followups for an implant and bridge. First this office is beautiful. Everything is clean and looks well organized. All good first signs for me. My appt. was at 1pm and I got seen at exactly 1pm. I wasn't ushered into a chair to wait another 30 minutes. Instead I was attended to right away and within 10 minutes I was made fully aware of all my options. No pressure, no sales pitch, just an honest appraisal of my needs. Hessel, the treatment coordinator I talked to, was just so nice in every way. She has one of those rare genuinely nice engaging personalities. Dr. Gregory wasn't just painless, she communicated with me through the entire process. She constantly checked to see if I was feeling ok and empowered me to stop anytime I felt uncomfortable. I have had some horrible dental experiences in my past, many of which seemed hurried or uncaring. This was the first time I got a real sense that my procedure was being handled with extreme care and with an attention to detail that would ensure the highest quality result. Even after the procedure she took the time with her assistant to go over every facet of my treatment and even demonstrate how to apply my gauze. The dental assistant Sarah and the dental hygienists that helped were also very friendly. There is a general feeling in this office of a team that truly cares for their patients and loves improving peoples lives. Of course I couldn't help but review their price list when I got home. I was very happy to discover that my fees were well on the low side of the local spectrum. As good as my visit was I would not have minded paying a premium but this was just another bonus to my experience. I tend to be very critical and specific in my expectations of service especially when I am forking over (what is to me) a lot of money. Thank you TLC so very much. 05/19/2018 UPDATE ------------------------ The crown that Dr. Cynthia Gregory installed 3 years ago on my molar has fallen out. The tooth underneath is completely black. The edges of the crown are not round and smooth - no wonder my outer gum never went over it. Now I have to get a new crown. Thank you TLC Dental Care and especially Dr. Cynthia Gregory for ruining my tooth! I literally curse the day I ever went to you horrible clinic. --------- I've been contemplating to write this review for a while because I hate leaving bad reviews. However, anyone considering this clinic for their dental work, needs to hear about my experience here first. I chose this clinic because they accepted my health insurance and they had such great Yelp reviews. Their prices also seemed to be on a better scale comparing to what I was originally quoted at Hillcrest Dental. My first appointment with Dr. Cynthia Gregory went very well. She was very sweet, caring and answered all of my questions. It was also very easy to make an appointment, I didn't have to wait weeks and their front desk staff is just great. Unfortunately, my positive experience at TLC Dental stopped after the initial check-up. On my second visit, Dr. Gregory prepped my back molar for a crown. She said I didn't need a root canal before crown installation because my filling was high enough from the nerve. The whole procedure went well without much pain. However, as soon as anesthesia wore off, I started experiencing pain and pressure in my crowned tooth. As the days went by, pain slowly went away but I still couldn't chew anything on the tooth with temporary crown, even soft foods like banana. Two weeks after temporary crown has been placed, I went back to Dr. Gregory and she was surprised to hear my tooth was still giving me trouble. She said to wait another 2 weeks before placing permanent crown. I waited another 2 weeks without any improvement. When I came back to the clinic and told her that I still can't chew anything on the tooth with temp crowned because I get sharp pain, Dr. Gregory thought I was exaggerating because she attempted to remove my temp crown without any anesthesia from a tooth that was still hurting!!! Needless to say, the pain I experienced from her pulling the crown, was like nothing I've ever felt before. I had tears rolling down my face!!! When I questioned her actions, she said - Oh, I didn't think you really meant that it hurt so bad. A lot of patients exaggerate. WTH???!!! Anyway, after that visit she referred me to endodontist to get a root canal because there was nothing else she could do. Btw, endodontist had a CRAZY HARD time getting my temporary crown off. Thanks God, I was all numb. When she finally pulled it off, she said it had a rough edge which hooked under the tooth or smth and that's why it wasn't coming off easy. Anyway, after I had root canal, I came back to TLC and after almost 2 months of pure agony, I finally had my permanent crown installed. But it doesn't stop here... I had minor caries in 2 teeth next to the crowned tooth. They were basically tiny spots. Dr. Gregory fixed them on my first appointment but since I couldn't chew on that side of the mouth for 2 months, I couldn't really evaluate her work. Once I finally started using my whole mouth, now every time I drink something cold/lukewarm I get crazy sensitivity in-between those 2 teeth. Also, I went to visit my parents in Russia 2 weeks ago and I had majority of my dental work done at our family dentist there. My Russian dentist told me that my permanent crown placed by Dr. Gregory wasn't done correctly because the base of the tooth was still showing on the outer side when it's supposed to be covered by the gum. She said the bottom edge of my crown needs to be filed down to be flush with the base of the tooth. I related her concerns to Dr. Gregory but she didn't see anything wrong with it. Well, maybe there's a difference between American and European dental approach. Their "deep cleaning" is a joke. They charge you $75 for a quadrant and the hygienist barely spent 2 min cleaning my teeth. Outrageous. It seems that at TLC they can't even make a mouthguard right. When I first put it on, it felt like braces and made my teeth hurt like crazy after 1 min of wearing it. Dr. Gregory says they are all made this way. WRONG! This company - sentinelmouthguards.com - makes 3 different types with variable thickness but it also does cost 3 times more. Bottom line - I'll never be coming back to TLC dental because I don't think Dr. Gregory is a good dentist. I've been dozen times to dentist before and have a mouthful of fillings and never ever had I any problems or complains afterwards. All three teeth that Dr. Gregory worked on, still give me trouble. It's really frustrating, especially since I dropped over $1300 for this nonsense. Too bad I can't go back in time. read more

Eight months later and I still have major issues where dr Gregory worked on my teeth. She claimed at my first appointment I had 4 cavities. Small cavities. When I returned three months later, the total was up to six. I wish I went somewhere else for a second opinion. I cannot chew on the right side without extreme pain. I have pain in the SIDE of one of my teeth. Flossing is a nightmare. I called to let her know and that I needed to come back in and see what was going on. Instead of making an appointment, I was told my insurance had yet to pay so I wasn't allowed to come back in! My ins dropped the ball and didn't pay the first time the bill was submitted so I asked them to resubmit. INSTEAD, after only the first bill cycle TLC sent my balance to freaking collections!!!! Only reason this is receiving a one star is because I can't select 0, About 3 years ago I had a crown done to replace a broken tooth all was fine until about 6 months after when the tooth began to turn blue. I asked to be sure if all was fine and they said it shouldn't be something to worry about. Today as I am taking a shower the crown slipped and fell off into the drain, no pressure on it nothing! This place prides itself over doing good work and this is the result? I spent hundreds of dollars to get the crown placed AND asked to be sure if this would be okay clearly it wasn't and now I have to look at spending thousands of dollars more to get it fully replace AND DONE RIGHT THIS TIME. If you want to be scammed by all means go visit TLC dental, if you want competent individuals that will care about your teeth and hygiene, visit just about anyone else. I went here for at least 10 years so please take it from me when I say this is an absolute joke. Spend your money elsewhere and don't make the same mistake I did, unless you want to be scammed out of your money. TLC you should be absolutely ashamed to have treated a customer of 10+ years this way. Dr Cynthia is great they are super timely I'm never waiting more than 5 minutes in the waiting room! I went to then because the great review about kids. I took my 2 yr old and she loves it. She always wants to come back for her turn. I'm glad they gave her a good experience as opposed to my hatred and fear I felt growing up. I have terrible anxiety about going to the dentist and had been avoiding it for way too long. I finally decided it was time to go and picked this office after finding it on yelp. Everyone was extremely nice from the moment I walked in, and after telling them how anxious I was they were very sensitive to my concerns. I had a thorough exam and cleaning and was able to get in within a few days to get the one filing I needed. When I came back they all seemed to remember me even though I'd only been once before. In the past I've needed nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to calm down enough to even get a cleaning, but here I was able to get a cleaning and filing without it and felt at ease. Little to no wait time, TVs on the ceiling above exam chairs, and a very caring doctor. So glad I found this place and I am already scheduled for my cleaning in 6 months. read more

Dr. Gregory and her staff are awesome! I needed an extraction on a bad molar. The Dr reviewed my X-rays with me and explained options and possible side effects as the molar was close to a main nerve.
