We booked appointment through phone was able to get next day appointment :) and they will send you confirmation email, visit is $82 We talk to technician first and I was able to get lots of information about vaccination, wellness exam, rate etc very informative and helpful!! and Dr Eugene came very nicely he crouch down talk to Angela very patient and nice trying to make Angela feel more comfortable less stressed, he is able to do full body check for Angela checked teeth, body shape, leg. I have been to several vets in Bay Area, I'm real happy with this visit Will recommend and revisit.

Excellent experience! I chose this pet hospital because they are fear free certified and came highly recommended by our dog trainer. We had a horrible experience at another veterinarians office and wanted to be careful with our next choice. Everyone at Cherry Chase is very aware of animal behavior and manages our pup very well. They make sure the visit is a positive experience for our dog. I appreciate how comprehensive and experienced Dr. Kate and her staff are.

First time visit here with my pup Stitch. With this quarantine, I wasn't able to go in with him. When I arrived a tech came out and assisted me with the form and take your fur baby inside for the exam. Everything is done over the phone while you wait outside in your car due to COVID. The staff was warm and welcoming. Dr Meline and her assistant Cody are both amazing!! They made Stitch feel like he was at home. Dr Meline is professional and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and concerns I had regarding my little man. Cody, went the extra mile to spend time with Stitch after his blood test. After the visit was over, she came out and explained the shots and symptoms, along with instructions on his flea meds. I only trust Meline and Cody with Stitch and will definitely be returning for future visits. Cherry chase vet, you guys are the real MVP! I wouldn't trust anyone else with Stitch. Thank you for caring for my pup like he was one of your own! 10/10 would recommend to family and friends!

Thank you for picking up the phone and seeing our dog last minute! His owner was super anxious and was relieved he could be seen in the next hour. Though was some miscommunication because they confirmed our appointment is at 11:30 but when we were on our way they said our appointment was at 11. They still saw us and we're able to evaluate our dog's wounded nail. The exam was $92 but the peace of mind is worth it

Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and they really all care about animals. Dr. Michelle has always been wonderful. She listens, she's patient, my dogs love her, she's professional and just a pleasure to coordinate with when it comes to my dogs' care. I lean on the more holistic side of care, and I love that Dr. Michelle really takes that into consideration when we are discussing health and meds. She doesn't just run to medication for the answer all the time. I really appreciate the balance of some holistic remedies with modern medicine for the dogs. My older dog Snickers has pancreatitis and he is on prescription food, but Just Food for Dogs as a topper and other vitamins she suggested. Also, the prices here are very reasonable. I've had to take the dogs to other vets on the occasion the office is closed for a week, and other vet prices are very pricey! Arroyo Animal Clinic doesn't try to sale me on procedures or meds. We just address what is needed. There isn't a sales pitch like some other vets do. Things can get expensive (I've had surgeries here, teeth cleanings, blood panels, and all those are not cheap. But still overall service and care cannot be beat. They really do care about you and you're animal. All in all, Arroyo Animal Clinic has been my go to veterinary for years, and I'm not going anywhere else. I drive from San Jose to come here and will continue do so until Dr. Michelle closes shop.

I had to transport my otherwise healthy 3 year old English Bulldog 40 minutes away right after he was out of first surgery with open wound. But I wonder if they would have just referred me to the capable vet instead of offering to do the surgery they were confident in after reading X-rays and later decided they were not capable of doing maybe I would have a different outcome.

I've had my dog since he was 8 weeks old, and all of his care had been handled here for years. My first major concern happened during his neuter procedure. The staff emphasized that we needed to arrive exactly at 8 AM, so I gave my dog a bath beforehand since I knew he wouldn't be able to bathe after surgery. My dog is hypoallergenic and has hair rather than fur, so he takes a long time to dry. He was still slightly damp when we arrived because I didn't have enough time to fully blow-dry him before the appointment. Hours went by without any communication from the clinic, so I finally called to check on him. That's when they informed me they hadn't even started the procedure because they were waiting for him to dry off in the kennel. I was extremely upset that nobody thought to call and tell me my dog's surgery had been delayed for hours over something so minor. After the surgery, I followed all post-op instructions, but weeks later the stitches still had not dissolved and my dog was becoming irritated. Because my trust had already been shaken, I ended up going to another vet for a second opinion and to have the stitches removed. Despite all of this, I decided to give the clinic another chance. My dog had his first dental cleaning and extraction here when he was around 3, and now at age 7 he needs another cleaning. This time, however, they suddenly said that because of his underbite they could no longer handle his "anatomical challenges" and referred me to a specialist in Aptos that charges nearly double and is completely out of the way. What doesn't make sense to me is that they successfully cleaned his teeth before, but now they're saying they can't do it again. After more than six years of bringing my dog here with no major medical issues, it's incredibly disappointing to now feel like they no longer want to service him. Overall, the customer service has been poor. Communication is lacking, emergencies don't seem to be prioritized appropriately over routine appointments, and my experiences here have left me very disappointed and frustrated.

I'm very disappointed with my experience at this clinic…read more I brought my dog in for a blood draw, and what I saw afterward shocked me. The area on her neck was extremely red, there was bleeding, and a large scab formed. This did not look like a normal needle mark, it looked like trauma to the skin. Animals cannot speak. They cannot tell us what they experienced, so we rely on clinics to treat them with care and proper technique. Seeing this on my dog raises serious concerns about the quality of care here. When I went back to talk to them, I received no clear explanation or real help. My concerns were not taken seriously. We have been coming here for four years, but this completely broke our trust. We will NEVER COME BACK AGAIN! I will be posting a comparison photo of my friend's dog after a blood draw, the difference is obvious.

When Bruno passed away it was at the clinic (it was his time, he was in pain). They gave us the space we needed with him to say goodbye and made a difficult situation no more difficult than it needed to be. I want to talk a little about their prescription policies, after reading a review about frustration that ELC asks to speak to you directly instead of just sending prescriptions to other places, or wanting to make an appointment before renewing certain prescriptions. It's literally relevant to the phone call I had with them today! My cat Guava has had urine crystals in the past and was put on prescription food, since then he's had no issues. I called in to renew the prescription since Chewy bounced it back to me as expired. They asked me to bring him in to do a check up and urinalysis before renewing the prescription. Honestly, because he's been doing so well, I didn't even think to do that. At first I was like "aw man but he's fine! He's doing so well!" But I thought about it: this really speaks to the level of care they have for our animals. Sometimes we think everything's fine and we only find out it's not fine when it's *super* not fine. It's been a couple years since he was last checked out. If you don't know about cat urine crystals, they can lead to blockages which are fatal. I really appreciate that they want to make sure he's okay. I let them know I needed a week or two to figure out finances for the appointment and they said they could still send my boyfriend home with Guava's prescription food from their office in the meantime. And the lady on the phone was extremely kind and non-judgmental, which meant a lot. They've been nothing but fair to us, kind, and loving to my animals. When Guava had to be checked in for several days back when he had his crystals, they let me come into the back and sit with him while he was recovering, sticking my fingers through the bars to pet his head and give him what comfort I could. So yeah, I get the prescription thing can be inconvenient, but they care, and that matters more to me than anything.

I saw Dr. Cauvel and was very impressed with his knowledge, he recognized it was better for me to handle my super excitable malinois vs have her go into the back for her vaccination, and most importantly, when I presented him with a more complex issue on one of my dogs and I presented my thoughts, he didn't treat me like my background was somehow a threat like I have experienced before. I explained the situation, but was told they were fully booked and could only provide the phone number of an emergency veterinary hospital. That said, we are actually going to the same vet for exactly the same reason, and I have personally seen a great deal of compassion from them. They are closed on Sundays and only open a half day on Saturdays, which can make urgent situations challenging, but my experiences with their staff have shown that they genuinely care about the animals they treat. Another perspective is that many pet owners feel emergency hospitals can charge dramatically more than regular clinics, making them seem like a rip-off for relatively simple procedures. I understand that clinics have schedules and capacity constraints, but I was surprised that no effort was made to accommodate a senior dog in distress, even for what appeared to be a brief procedure. I had hoped for a bit more compassion and understanding given the circumstances. Compassion and flexibility are qualities many pet owners look for in a veterinary practice, especially when dealing with urgent situations involving elderly animals. While the staff was polite, the lack of any attempt to help beyond providing another phone number left me feeling unsupported at a stressful time. Based on this experience, I would hesitate to rely on this clinic during an urgent situation.
