We were transferred to this veterinary hospital from our primary care veterinarian at Adobe because our dog required care with a veterinarian Train staff overnight. Adobe had called to ensure that there was a spot for our dog overnight. When we arrived 5p at MedVet, there were some forms to sign, but they immediately admitted and took our dog in to the back area for assessment and treatment. We did not have another opportunity to see our dog before we were expected to leave. They reassured us that the vet would do a full ass assessment and contact us if there was anything urgent that night. We could expect a call the next morning at 7 AM from the overnight vet. We indeed got a call at 7 AM notifying us that our dog was doing much better and she could be discharged. Our treatment from 5 PM to her discharge at 8 AM the next morning costed.2k. I would come here first next time if my dog has a future medical emergency. I think they only treat dogs and cats.

We took our golden retriever into Medvet on a Sunday because she was pawing at her mouth. I could not find anything. However, as soon as we brought her in, they were able to check her and found a stick lodged between her teeth. Immediately , our dog was happy and they did not charge us. This was great service from the entire staff from receptionists to medical staff, who really care for their patients.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this establishment. Not only did they save our baby, but they were so kind and helpful along this process. It's never easy when your pet is sick, but running him into the office with a very low heartbeat, and only moments left to live the whole staff Kicked into action and saved our baby. They were very transparent with all costs, gave me a full breakdown of all costs, so I can make a decision on what I can afford and what needs to be done. It took him about a week to start getting back to normal but after the care of MedVet and all the wonderful vet tech, he is happy and thriving and home safe where he should be.

'still haven't gotten an answer as to WHO/WHEN EXACTLY/***WHERE Buddy was cremated. He died in Med Vet Jan 2 morning of 2024. I called, staff didn't know answer, I wrote, CATPTA (sp) didn't work for online questions, I wrote a message here in Yelp... no answer. The info isn't on your website either. Please, would you tell me who/WHERE/WHEN Buddy was cremated? I consider this to be the place his soul would've settled (?). WHO does your cremations? How/when do they pick up bodies, cremate and transport? I didn't get the minute with my pet that I asked for before administering the fatal shot, 'cat was screaming in fear and asking me why we were giving up this time, and I didn't have a chance to tell him that there was no possible way to save him this time, thank him, wish him well in Kitty Heaven etc. It's been haunting me ever since.

He's been there many times for other issues, and the care he received in the past has always been excellent. When we checked in, there was only one animal ahead of us. It's a nice waiting area. Everything was clean and spotless. We waited about 15 minutes before being put in a room. There was only one Dr. on site, but luckily, they weren't too busy. Dr. Beard and her vet techs took excellent care of my boy. He apparently was having an asthma flare-up. They gave him a sedative shot, since he was being a bit spicy. He hates going to the Dr., just like other pets. They gave him oxygen and a steroid shot. They also took x-rays to be sure there were no foreign objects in his throat. Luckily, all the x-rays were clear. They monitored him, and we were able to take him home after he stabilized. The staff are wonderful here. They treat your pet as if it were their own. Dr. Beard and her team helped make my baby feel better, and I'm so grateful for their compassion and love for all animals. You can tell these folks love what they do. Adobe will always be our number one place to go to for an emergency.

It was an extremely stressful and frightening experience for us, especially after watching her suffer from excruciating pain for weeks. The surgery was a huge success, and today Lola appears to be completely pain free and is back to her happy, normal self. Seeing her comfortable and enjoying life again means more to us than we can possibly express. We cannot thank Dr. Vitale enough for what she did for Lola and for our family. I paid $195 for a consultation and was told my dog was cleared to start physical therapy. That same day, I was told someone would call with pricing and scheduling -- no call ever came. I had to keep calling myself, and every time it was the same story: long holds, no pickup, "we'll call you back." I eventually got a person and scheduled an appointment. She was good about explaining pricing and scheduling. She got my dog on the schedule. Then I got a voicemail saying it was canceled due to staff illness, telling me to call right back for a new date. I called back immediately -- at least four times. Same runaround: long holds, no answers, "leave your number, you won't lose your place in queue." When I finally got a callback, the receptionist told me all the nurses had already left for the day (3:30pm on a Thursday) and someone would "try" to call me the next morning. Just wow. Save yourself the headache -- there are plenty of other vet options in the Bay Area. I won't be going back, and I'll be telling other pet parents to avoid Sage Vet in Campbell

Our dog Bailey is a 6 year old chocolate Lab who developed a deep fluid filled mass in her neck. Our primary vet initially attempted to remove it, but once he got in there, he felt it was too close to extremely important structures such as her jugular, carotid artery, nerves, etc and chose not to continue. Hearing that was terrifying and it eventually led us to Dr. Bugman. From our very first appointment, Dr. Bugman made us feel like Bailey was genuinely in good hands. I was incredibly nervous and had a million questions. She was patient, kind, honest and empathetic through all of it. Communication was always easy, and I never felt rushed or made to feel like I was asking too much. She also understood the financial reality of specialty care and was willing to talk through different options with us without ever making me feel like we were compromising Bailey's care. On surgery day, I was an emotional wreck, but Bailey did beautifully and Dr. Bugman was able to successfully remove the mass. After weeks of fear and uncertainty, hearing that my girl was awake, out of surgery, and the icky mass was out was the biggest relief imaginable. What I will remember just as much as Dr. Bugman's surgical skill is how cared for we felt throughout this entire experience. When your dog is your family, handing them over for a major surgery is incredibly hard. I never once questioned whether Bailey was being watched over, loved on and treated like she mattered. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Bugman and everyone who cared for our girl. There really aren't enough words to say thank you for getting Bailey safely through this and back to us. If you are scared and searching through reviews trying to decide who you can trust with your baby, I hope this review gives you some of the reassurance I desperately needed when we were in that position.

I hate to write a bad review, but I also feel compelled to warn others so that they don't have the…read moresame experience that we did. I will not share the entire saga, but here is what I will say: - I do not know if SAGE's clinical choices were sound, as I am not a vet. What I do know is that they were not successful, and resulted in the death of a relatively young (6 year old) cat who did not appear to be *that sick*. - The care that was provided - which took place over the course of less than 12 hours and did not involve any surgery resulted in bills exceeding $7,000. - After the traumatic experience, SAGE was focused purely on payment, and not at all on condolences. They immediately charged the credit card on file and sent multiple emails with invoices (which were unclear and in some cases contradictory). When I arrived to pick up the cat's ashes the person at the front desk looked at the computer and said "you have an outstanding balance of $400; would you like to pay that now?" She did not say "I'm sorry for your loss" and instead just straight to asking for more money. When I pushed back she said "that's our protocol." Yes, clearly it is. - They made many administrative errors throughout the process, which I will not go into because for those they have apologized, but there were so many that I felt embarassed for them. But I've now contacted them multiple times with one simple request: please send me one invoice that is complete and accurate. My requests have gone unanswered. Perhaps because they have already received payment, they are no longer concerned with me, but it's actually pretty outlandish. They charged over $7,000 (I think - it's actually hard to tell because again, the charges and invoices are not clear or complete) and can't be bothered with giving me a clear answer. I am truly not sure how any business can get away with operating this way, but apparently SAGE can. I'm sure they do some good work. I'm sure there are many good people who work there and care a lot about animals. But based on our experience, it feels like incompetent adminstration at best and a scam at worst. I know that when your pet needs emergency care you may not have a lot of options, but if you do, I suggest that you try to go elsewhere.

Our most recent visit our cat got a sticky (glue) fly trap stuck to him, which may seem like a silly thing to bring a cat to emergency for... but the level of freaked out that he was, we were having difficulty handling him, and he was bleeding and we couldn't determine from where. We ended up taking him in, as we just couldn't get things under control on our own and he was clearly in a lot of pain. A technician took him back to assess him quickly, got him cleaned up, located the source of the bleeding and cleaned his wounds. And of course he was an angel for her... (why can't he be like that for me?!?!). Once again, everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. They never minimize what you're dealing with... if they thought it was silly reason to be there, they sure didn't make it seem that way to me. They took our concerns seriously and were very supportive, and took excellent care of our cat. The other thing I really appreciate with the team here is that they aren't trying to add on or charge for unnecessary services. Costs are explained clearly and feel very fair. I haven't once felt like they were taking advantage of the emergency nature of a situation. Again... really good people here.
