    Brown Sugar Rice Cup Pudding
    Josh C.

This was the second time that I visited this place and it was still impressive! I visited this place today at 1:58 P.M. and it was pretty quiet in the surrounding areas around the place. Also, the staff was extremely nice. The first item that I got was the Green Tea Rice Cup Pudding which had a good green tea flavor and a wonderful level of chewiness. The second item that I got was the Brown Sugar Rice Cup Pudding which had a good sweetness level and the perfect level of chewiness. Overall, this was a really good experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat a good Rice Cup Pudding!

The Taiwanese in me will always pick @icybar as my favourite dessert place. The chewy mochi and the shaved ice just hit the perfect spot every single time. I always choose multiple chewy toppings each time. Love the availability in customizing my dessert too.

The house special has lots of ingredients in it which is nice. Good red bean and fresh soft tofu. Nice chewy mochi. Very sweet at first but once you stir the tofu it's just right. The sticky rice could have been softer and moister. Overall good but average asian style desserts.

I was watching the Hong Kong classic, 縱橫四海 (Once A Thief) and started craving these . Chow Yun Fat's character's nick name in the movie is 砵仔糕, which is rice cup pudding! Therefore, i asked my dad and he said they had it at Parker place. I bought 6 and it came to $4.50 so I assume they are $0.75 each. I don't think I saw a price for them. Brings back memories! Had these when I was little.

Came back again on a BURNING HOT SUMMER DAY and got the mango sago pomelo icy once again but this time it contained rainbow jelly which was interesting...but still delicious. We also got a make your own icy of 3 toppings and coconut milk where we chose taro, almond pudding and red bean. This one was surprisingly delicious as it had a very asian flavour to it. It was quite sweet with the sweetened toppings but i love having things to chew in my dessert (and all food really) so i adored this one. Not by any means healthy but an always delicious dessert.

Reminds me of Hong Kong! Classic, not the trendy. Even bono chacha. The pudding cups are great too!

Came for a late-night dessert They have a policy where you…read morehave to order at least the number of dishes as the people seated inside but it can be to go if needed for some of the items. The dining space is small but the decoration inside makes you feel like you transported to a different country. Marshmallow Thick Toast 4/5 The toast was about an inch thick, well toasted outside with a pillowy soft center. There's some melted chocolate on the bottom that added to the smores vibe. The marshmallows on top weren't very thick, so it melted to an even layer with perfect browning. The toast was cut into 9 pieces so it can be shared but given the portion I think 1-2 people would be fitting for this dessert. We weren't too hungry, so we shared amongst 4. Jasmine Tea Jelly 4/5 I really liked how fragrant the jelly was and that the jelly was a softer jelly that reminds you of Aiyu jelly. The after taste was a bit bitter but I feel like that tells me it was brewed and made and not just bought to serve. It's served with a splash of half and half I believe. To-Go I wanted to try and compare all the tea flavored jellies they had, Jasmine, Oolong and Earl Grey Tea Jelly. Packaged with small packets of the half and half to add later. The best was OOLONG 5/5- it had a slight roasted tea flavor that was refreshing and comforting at the same time. What you would want from a milk tea. Second best was Jasmine - fragrant and less bitter than the one I had in restaurant, typical jasmine flavor that's lightly floral and not too heavy Earl Grey 3/5 - it was good if you like earl grey like me, but it has an intensely strong fragrance and flavor that might be off-putting if you're not used to the taste. It was by far the strongest floral taste and smell of the three. I'd definitely be back to get these to go, they carry well and you can cross borders with them :)

We stopped by at lunchtime at first, but they weren't open yet. Since we really wanted to try it, we called again in the evening to confirm their hours before heading back--and we're so glad we did. The service was excellent from start to finish. They were incredibly patient and took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food did not disappoint. All the Taiwanese snacks we tried were delicious and full of authentic flavors. Our absolute favorite was the shaved ice--it was refreshing, perfectly textured, and just amazing! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for genuine Taiwanese food and warm, attentive service. Definitely a 5-star experience!

At first when we went…read moreinside, I think I wasn't the only one in our party of 9 to wonder what the heck we walked into and wondered if we should leave. The decorations are dated and they have a couch and TV riiiiight behind the ordering counter, lol. God bless the Chinese uncle that owns and runs the place... he and the lady taking the order barely spoke English, so we stumbled with our Mandarin. I think they even spoke Taiwanese with each other?!? Instead of ordering multiple drinks, we just ordered the one mango lover's coconut pudding. Honestly, we didn't know what the heck we ordered and we ordered it to go. It took a little while to prepare, but when it came we were presented with a coconut wrapped in cellophane. We were intrigued and had to open it right then and there. We were treated to a coconut FILLED with fresh mango, mochi, and pudding... all in a fresh coconut - the coconut meat was thin, so you knew it was juicy and fresh! My oldest kid did his best to claim it all for himself as we all wanted a taste. In the end, we did the only thing logical and had to order a second. I would absolutely, hands-down, recommend this place. The family that owns the place deserves our patronage and they've earned it in their own humble way. God bless.
