Steve at the front desk is extremely rude. Just as rude when you call on the phone. Won't ever give my business to this place again

Walked to Metro Motor and the gentleman there was nice enough to loan me the battery charger/jumper thingy. I went back to my car and realized the problem was that the battery was simply loose. I tightened it by hand and got the car started. While returning the charger, the same guy told me I should bring it in for them to tighten it with a wrench to make sure it didn't jar loose again. I did so. It only took a minute, and they didn't charge me. Exceptionally friendly service. Much appreciated, guys!

I needed a new transmission and I was told the cost would vary depending on whether the transfer case needed to be reprogrammed -- that would be an extra $500. When I picked the car up, they told me that fortunately reprogramming wasn't needed. They could have said the opposite -- I would have paid the extra $500 -- and there's no way I would have ever known the truth. I am just posting this review because to me honesty is basically everything in car repair places. And Arlington Autocare is honest.

When taking my car in solely for an oil change, after it was complete my car was returned to me with the driver's seat reclined an absurd amount. Additionally, the electronic switch to raise the head of the seat was broken and I knew for a fact it was not broken before I took my car in to get serviced. The next day, I brought it back to address the issue and have the shop fix it because it was very difficult for me to drive my car with the seat reclined so much. I did not feel like my issue was taken seriously initially by the mechanics. When explaining the issue, it seemed like they thought I didn't know how to raise the seat up in my own car. It wasn't until showing them the problem that they admitted this was a real issue they would need to run diagnostics and charge me for. I asked why they would feel a need to recline the seat this much to complete an oil change in the first place, and they continuously doubled down that the mechanics have to be able to move the driver's seat in any way they need to drive the car and could not admit the issue was their wrongdoing. It makes sense to me to move the seat towards and away from the wheel, but my seat was reclined so much from the original position that seemed incredibly unnecessary. After running the diagnostics, they wanted to charge me almost $900 total to replace the switch altogether. When expressing to the mechanics once again that this issue is on them because the seat was not broken before I brought it in for the oil change and it is ridiculous to ask me to pay this much especially in labor charges, they would not budge on their stance that they can move the seat however they need and said charging this much and replacing the whole switch is what needed to be done. The next day I called right when the shop opened to speak to the manager about this issue. Every time I called, the mechanics said the manager would be in later that day and everytime I called after that the manager was never available. Eventually in the afternoon, the mechanics were able to communicate the issue to the manager themselves, and later on they updated me that the manager is aware of the issue and looking into it to see what he wants to do.I made it clear to the mechanic I spoke to that I still wanted to speak to the manager myself, and they said they will give the manager my number to call me. I never got a call from the manager, instead the shop called me back saying the manager wants the shop to comp all charges with this switch fix except the part. I made it clear that this is the least they could do because they were the ones that caused this issue. I still want to speak to the manager about this and they expressed that the manager had left for the day and is busy so wouldn't have time to call me about this, which I think is incredibly cowardly of the management of this shop to not be willing to hear out the customer's concerns directly. When picking up my vehicle the staff was incredibly unfriendly and visibly upset about the whole situation. I asked if the part had a warranty and was met with an "I don't know, I think a year." When asking if they could confirm that with someone that knew, they responded "It's a year warranty" without verifying with someone else. When paying for the cost of the part (which was $250 that was for an issue I did not cause) I politely asked if they had a discount for nurses/first responders and was met with "why should we give you a discount, we're already losing money on this." I will not be returning because of the lack of customer service and the lack of respect I was met with from staff as a single young woman.

I was told it would be a 2 hour appointment. The staff were very friendly and there was no wait when I arrived. My car was taken in immediately to begin the service. However, the estimated repair ended up taking closer to 2.5 hours instead of 2 hours and then I opted to wait an additional 30 minutes for the hand wash. Although the appointment took way longer than I wanted it to, I was happy with the service I received from the dealer. I was here for 3.5 hours and would have planned accordingly if I knew the appointment time would have been extended by 1.5 hours.

As a Latina woman, I usually feel very uncomfortable with the typical dealership experience and to be honest I have always disliked it. In the past I have not always been treated with the respect and professionalism I expected -- although I want to clarify those experiences were not at Honda dealerships. This was actually my first time visiting a Honda dealership, and I truly wish I had done it much earlier. Before visiting Safford Honda Arlington, I had recently purchased a 2023 Honda CR-V from CarMax. I stopped by the Honda dealership mostly out of curiosity because I wanted to see what the price difference would be for the same vehicle but brand new for 2026. I was still within the return window for the CarMax purchase, and I simply wanted to compare my options. From the moment I arrived, my salesperson Yousuf Mahmoud treated me with genuine respect, patience, and professionalism. I even mentioned that I didn't want to waste his time because I was mostly asking questions, but he never made me feel that way. Instead, he encouraged me to see the car and suggested we take a test drive. After driving the vehicle, we sat down and discussed the numbers. What impressed me the most was how open the team was to a real and respectful negotiation. I had done my homework and came prepared with a number that I felt comfortable with, understanding that dealerships are businesses and also need to make a fair profit. I wasn't expecting unrealistic discounts -- I simply wanted a fair deal for both sides. At one point sales manager and senior salesperson even joined the conversation to help make the deal work, which showed me that they truly cared about finding a solution. Another factor that helped my decision was the current used car market. The difference between the used 2023 vehicle with 26,000 miles and a brand-new 2026 ended up being roughly around 11.5% /12% which made going with a new vehicle make much more sense for me. Beyond the negotiation itself, the level of hospitality I experienced was something I had never seen at a dealership before. They offered me water, and when I mentioned that I was cold they brought me tea and even asked what type of tea I preferred. Some members of the team even offered me a jacket because I was freezing that day. Later they even picked me up at the metro station so I could return to the dealership to pick up my car. Those gestures might seem small, but to me they showed genuine kindness and respect. As a woman walking into a dealership where most of the staff are men, I truly felt listened to, valued, and treated professionally throughout the entire process. In the end, I left with a brand-new 2026 Honda CR-V EX-L, and I couldn't be happier with both the car and the experience. I never thought I would say this because I usually dislike dealerships, but this team completely changed my perception. If any of my friends or family are ever looking for a Honda or even a quality used car, I will absolutely recommend Safford Honda Arlington and especially working with Yousuf Mahmoud. They made what is usually a stressful experience feel fair, comfortable, and genuinely positive.

They ultimately recommended that I replace it and I permitted them to replace the back two tires to keep it balanced. My problem is that I had an appointment for that morning, and despite the appointments they had my car for seven full hours. 7 full hours on a Saturday. And I want to say that their staff are just the nicest people in the world and felt really bad that I had waited so long. But I just cannot believe that it took seven hours to change two tires, and when I got back to my car, I was surprised to see that they had neither provided a complementary vacuum on the inside nor any other small token of gratitude for never getting impatient with them while they had my car for, again, seven full hours. The next day, I got in my car and really had a shock when I realized that they hadn't even topped up the air in my front two tires. That is insane. These little details can make all the difference in customer service when you put me through a really shitty day where I had to cancel multiple plans and never even got mad at the staff for giving me new estimate after new estimate after new estimate and my car just sat and sat and sat for seven hours. I would give one star, but the guy behind the desk was just so nice, I'm giving adding one star on specifically for him
