Cherry's is the place to be if you are feeling a little naughty in Cherry Grove at night. This place has a big bar area and cranks out the music along with exotic dancers. I did not try the food but the drinks were fine, fairly standard for a dance bar. Festive is how I would describe the place. Service was friendly.

One of the highlights in the Cherry Grove neighborhoods. It's right off the dock where the water taxis and ferries drop people off so it's hard to miss. They have simple bar food, but are known for their frozen drinks. Definitely try out the CH-CH-CHHERRY BOMB! I really enjoyed their Bloody Mary too. They have a Wasabi Sesame rim which is unique and really good! Not too spicy either, but enough of a kick to light that fire. They have drag shows on the weekends too! We came on Sunday and got to catch a show. Note: there is a minimum spend to sit at the bar during this time, but standing is free.

Such a fun place to check out on Fire Island. The drinks are supper yummy, staff is friendly, and the performances are over the top. We just grabbed drinks at the bar as walk ins and stayed for about 2 hours watching the drag shows, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. If you are looking for a fun place to go with friends, Cherry's On The Bay is the place to be!

For a good time on a Saturday night in Cherry Grove, this is definitively the place to be. Basically what you have is a beach dive bar with an amazing drag queen show that is loads of fun. I did not have food here but we did have a few drinks which weren't that strong and standard NY $15 a drink. The bartenders were okay. By the way, this is a cash bar, so probably best to bring your own cash or use the ATM in the back.

Restauraunt was spacious, and had alot of seating by the water/ferry dock .Server/bartender had a bubbly and friendly personality, but tried to rush us out and did not give a reason why. Drinks (rocket fuel) were really good and pretty strong . My ceaser salad appetizer was great. My burrito bowl was also good, albeit very expensive for the portion size. Had a fun experience and would try once if you can make it to one of the drag shows. Due to prices being too high i would not make it a regular occurance.

I love this place!! Was just there with a couple of friends last week. #1. Best frozen drinks ever #2. Love the bartenders - real and cool #3. Amazing view #4. Festive - feels like you are in key west or a tropical island. I grew up in New York and remember when I coming to Fire Island in my 20s and having a blast. I live In Los Angeles now but this place reminds me of everything I love about New York and new York and fire island.

Food is awful, and the owner makes up unbelievable stories . I would never apologize for horrible service and bad food.

I cannot stop thinking of what I overheard a few weeks ago so I have to share. A younger woman was ordering shots with her friends. Ken Braun, the manager, (who said he was the owner, lol) was bartending and asked the young lady how many shots she wanted. She said 8 but then very quickly said I apologize, 7 please. Ken had not finished pouring them and had every opportunity to take one of the shot glasses away, but he instead said "you're gonna pay for them all bitch." He wasn't being playful, his behavior was genuinely shocking and confusing. The woman was trying to apologize (she didn't owe him any apology) and he replied "you're talking and not tapping. Just tap the fucking card." When the woman paid and walked away, he said "dumb straight women." As others have mentioned below, he doesn't seem to be inclusive of anyone who is different than him. He completely defeats the purpose of being in the LGBTQIA+ community and the goal in celebrating inclusivity of ALL people. Do better. P.S, a friend told me his drinks (which he ordered the same of every time) doubled in price after he got three. No reason for that either. Just overall very unethical.

Better late than never with this backdated review--life has just been lifing!…read moreI finally made it to Artemis on July 22nd after fiending to go since January. There's actually a hilarious story behind why I went. I was originally supposed to have a date that night, but let's be real: you'd think a 61-year-old man would know better than to take a 47-year-old woman to Dave & Buster's. I canceled the night before, dolled myself up the day of, and decided to take myself out instead. Best decision ever. The joint is dimly lit. But your eyes wind up adjusting. It's got a great vibe. Definitely excellent for a date night. The bartenders here are absolute rockstars. I started with a Painkiller. Even though it's no longer on the menu, they whipped it up for me anyway--and hey, it definitely relieved my pain, lol! Next, I tried a Corpse Reviver just because it had absinthe in it. It was different, but I really enjoyed it. Naturally, I had to finish with my signature drink, a Cosmopolitan, because I am the Black Carrie Bradshaw of Long Island. And it did not disappoint. The eats: I got the charcuterie board--fancy and bougie, just like me--and wrapped up the night with the brownie à la mode for dessert. Drowning my troubles in sweets is a must when the Long Island dating pool is an absolute wasteland, lmao. Did I want to spend my night around teenagers, kids, and skee-ball? HELL NO! I wanted a grown-and-sexy speakeasy vibe, and Artemis delivered. 5/5 stars--would 100% recommend!

My only complaint is the seating- it's a little packed, I felt like I was sitting on top of the people next to me yet far away from my date with a coffee table between us. Whether you're looking to grab a drink, share some appetizers, or sit down for dinner, it's a great setting. I visited last week with my family, and the appetizers were definitely the highlight of the meal. We ordered the Magnolia Flatbread, Burrata, and Baked Clams. The flatbread is an absolute must-order, it was outstanding and easily the favorite dish of the night. The burrata and baked clams were also very good. For our entrees, my dad and I both ordered burgers. While they were flavorful, they were unfortunately overcooked. I ordered mine medium and my dad ordered medium-rare, but neither burger had any pink in the center. My wife ordered the Tuna Sliders from the appetizer menu and they weren't what she expected; she said she wouldn't order them again. My mother enjoyed the French Dip and thought it was very good from what I tried. Magnolias serves "cottage fries" instead of traditional French fries. They're essentially thick-cut fried potato slices--more like a hearty potato chip. While it's an interesting twist, I'm a French fry person and personally prefer traditional fries. My wife and I both ordered the truffle cottage fries, and they came out quite soggy, likely from sitting in too much oil. We mentioned it to our waitress, who agreed after seeing them and kindly removed them from the bill. Overall, Magnolias has a great atmosphere, excellent appetizers, and a unique setting that makes it worth visiting. While there were a few issues with some of our entrees and sides, I'd definitely return, especially for drinks and appetizers in the courtyard.

Happy hour at the bar is from 12-7pm with the bar bites available after 4pm. The place is very nicely decorated and exudes an upscale but unpretentious vibe. I ordered a glass of the pinot noir which was tasty and at $6 a nice bargain. I got the chickpea fries and was surprised by the texture. It was almost custard like with a slight chickpea flavor in a very light breading. Served with the harissa aioli it made for a nice app. After a while I decided to try the Filet mignon sliders, which I ordered medium rare, the bartender said they don't usually take a temp on those but he'd note it. The meat is sliced very thin but was tender and still had a bit of red. The arugula gave it a nice peppery bite. My only critic is the slider roll was very cottony, but the overall taste was very good. I'll definitely be back and will try something off the regular menu.

As mentioned they try to offer fresh, seasonal apps, handhelds, salads and entrees. The protein entree options only offer two to three chicken, pork, steak, seafood selections along with a couple of pasta infused dishes. They have a full bar, so if a beer or cocktail is wanted you do have options there as well. The Mr selected the Chilled Shrimp & Crab Stack, but eliminated the hard boiled egg aspect and thought it was light, tasty and refreshing. I opted for the Faroe Salmon with shrimp that came accompanied/on top of a risotto and peas. I thought cooked medium was perfect making it soft and fork flaky to mix along together. It was a very juicy sizable piece making it very filling. We didn't have time for a dessert, but noted they did have a few offerings there. Also noted they had very well kept mens/woman's and family restroom with baby changing table. Thanks! Would highly recommend this location to others.
