One of the highlights in the Cherry Grove neighborhoods. It's right off the dock where the water taxis and ferries drop people off so it's hard to miss. They have simple bar food, but are known for their frozen drinks. Definitely try out the CH-CH-CHHERRY BOMB! I really enjoyed their Bloody Mary too. They have a Wasabi Sesame rim which is unique and really good! Not too spicy either, but enough of a kick to light that fire. They have drag shows on the weekends too! We came on Sunday and got to catch a show. Note: there is a minimum spend to sit at the bar during this time, but standing is free.

Such a fun place to check out on Fire Island. The drinks are supper yummy, staff is friendly, and the performances are over the top. We just grabbed drinks at the bar as walk ins and stayed for about 2 hours watching the drag shows, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. If you are looking for a fun place to go with friends, Cherry's On The Bay is the place to be!

For a good time on a Saturday night in Cherry Grove, this is definitively the place to be. Basically what you have is a beach dive bar with an amazing drag queen show that is loads of fun. I did not have food here but we did have a few drinks which weren't that strong and standard NY $15 a drink. The bartenders were okay. By the way, this is a cash bar, so probably best to bring your own cash or use the ATM in the back.

Restauraunt was spacious, and had alot of seating by the water/ferry dock .Server/bartender had a bubbly and friendly personality, but tried to rush us out and did not give a reason why. Drinks (rocket fuel) were really good and pretty strong . My ceaser salad appetizer was great. My burrito bowl was also good, albeit very expensive for the portion size. Had a fun experience and would try once if you can make it to one of the drag shows. Due to prices being too high i would not make it a regular occurance.

I love this place!! Was just there with a couple of friends last week. #1. Best frozen drinks ever #2. Love the bartenders - real and cool #3. Amazing view #4. Festive - feels like you are in key west or a tropical island. I grew up in New York and remember when I coming to Fire Island in my 20s and having a blast. I live In Los Angeles now but this place reminds me of everything I love about New York and new York and fire island.

My favorite place in CG! Everyone is welcome here - the DJ is always great, and this is the place to go for dancing (maybe even on the stage). One thing that annoys me is the teeny tiny restrooms. The line can get out of hand for that - and it also tends to get super hot back there in the summer (no AC). Also, typically they do not charge a cover, but this past holiday weekend when I went they were charging $10 a person. It was annoying, but worth it of course. It's right by the ferry dock and cash only. There's usually a few bartenders on so drinks are served up pretty quickly. Definitely worth a visit!

Come here for entertainment and drinks only. The food was pretty bland and pricey for the portions. Sweet staff !

Granted, I also visited on my first trip to Fire Island and I'm head over heels with the whole experience.

Had dinner here last week. The food was okay, nothing special. The endive salad was delicious, but…read moreswordfish and tuna entrées were overly salted. Our server was friendly, professional, and prompt. Ambiance is good with a nice view of the ocean. Main complaint is that the hostess was a bit off. She wears sunglasses indoors in the evening. After greeting her with a "hello", she just flatly responds "reservation?". After responding "yes", without another word from her she just walks us to our table. Living in NYC, we're used to a bit more civility. Not many dining options on Fire Island, so obviously we have to take their establishments as is.

Went for lunch , my friend ordered the lobster roll, 2nd time for him and loved it. We started with the jumbo wings , $24 for 5 SMALL wings , not sure what was jumbo about them other than the outrageous price? I had the Tai salad , $34 with peanut dressing. Salad was watery , dressing as well seemed very watered down. Understanding how they nickel and dime you here they gave me extra dressing ($1.00 really?? ) which didn't help. The chicken tasted like it came from a can. Avoid the protein bowls unless you're not hungry and stick to what they are known for. Waiter super friendly. Do better.

Whether you're looking to grab a drink, share some appetizers, or sit down for dinner, it's a great setting. I visited last week with my family, and the appetizers were definitely the highlight of the meal. We ordered the Magnolia Flatbread, Burrata, and Baked Clams. The flatbread is an absolute must-order, it was outstanding and easily the favorite dish of the night. The burrata and baked clams were also very good. For our entrees, my dad and I both ordered burgers. While they were flavorful, they were unfortunately overcooked. I ordered mine medium and my dad ordered medium-rare, but neither burger had any pink in the center. My wife ordered the Tuna Sliders from the appetizer menu and they weren't what she expected; she said she wouldn't order them again. My mother enjoyed the French Dip and thought it was very good from what I tried. Magnolias serves "cottage fries" instead of traditional French fries. They're essentially thick-cut fried potato slices--more like a hearty potato chip. While it's an interesting twist, I'm a French fry person and personally prefer traditional fries. My wife and I both ordered the truffle cottage fries, and they came out quite soggy, likely from sitting in too much oil. We mentioned it to our waitress, who agreed after seeing them and kindly removed them from the bill. Overall, Magnolias has a great atmosphere, excellent appetizers, and a unique setting that makes it worth visiting. While there were a few issues with some of our entrees and sides, I'd definitely return, especially for drinks and appetizers in the courtyard.

As mentioned they try to offer fresh, seasonal apps, handhelds, salads and entrees. The protein entree options only offer two to three chicken, pork, steak, seafood selections along with a couple of pasta infused dishes. They have a full bar, so if a beer or cocktail is wanted you do have options there as well. The Mr selected the Chilled Shrimp & Crab Stack, but eliminated the hard boiled egg aspect and thought it was light, tasty and refreshing. I opted for the Faroe Salmon with shrimp that came accompanied/on top of a risotto and peas. I thought cooked medium was perfect making it soft and fork flaky to mix along together. It was a very juicy sizable piece making it very filling. We didn't have time for a dessert, but noted they did have a few offerings there. Also noted they had very well kept mens/woman's and family restroom with baby changing table. Thanks! Would highly recommend this location to others.
