The billing person was trying very hard to understand the formula and how the insurance was billing the patient and the doctors office. I was very impressed with the tenacity of the billing person in your office who was very professional and trying to understand how the bill was wrong and how to convince the other person that how it was billed was wrong - kind of hard to explain, but your person did an excellent job!

Based on those assurances, I agreed to move forward with the service. Several months later, after that office manager was no longer with the practice, I was contacted and told that my insurance did not cover the procedure after all. The office is now attempting to collect the full balance from me, ontop of what I have paid, despite acknowledging that I was given incorrect information before treatment. The staff was very rude to me when I explained to them that I was mislead and felt I was not givin the right to refuse service if my insurance was not covering that cleaning. Which again I was told it was covered, and my cost was $148 which was paid. What is most disappointing besides being so incredibly rude and unprofessional is that they admit I was misled, yet they still expect me to absorb the cost of their mistake. Patients rely on dental offices to verify insurance benefits and provide accurate information before treatment decisions are made, I know this as my daughter works for an oral surgeon. As a stylist and esthetician, I value supporting local businesses and have referred many of my clients, as well as family and friends, to this practice. Unfortunately, because of how this situation has been handled, I can no longer recommend this office. The lack of organization and accountability has completely changed my opinion of what was initially a positive experience.

They did say i had 3 "watch stops" but nothing that they thought needed work now. They were even shocked Dr. Tuttle recommended a deep cleaning. Canyon Lake Dental felt very money hungry to me. Dr Tuttle tried to sell me on the MARPE, saying i have a lip and tongue tie and it would help my mouth breathing (which yes I'm aware mouth breathing is not good and is something I've been working on). Crazy, kids liking the dentist. Dental work completed by Dr Robinson was great. I've had lots of work done by lots of dentists (root canals, crowns, filling replaced) and he is good and takes pride in the work. I think they've run ontime every time I've been there but once, and they had an emergency patient. They apologized three times for the delay. Love that they took an emergency, good to know they take care of you if you need it urgently. No complaints.
