Huge relief!!! After that, Dr. Johnston gave me a free consultation and suggested some corrective actions. I followed her instructions, and I am so happy with Dr. Johnston. I never felt the needle when she administered novacaine, and she was extremely gentle, kind, and patient. She is so loving. My 6-year-old son hugged her and wouldn't let go. (haha), but when he hugged her, I saw Dr. Johnston, with her eyes closed, she totally loved that hug. :) I don't want to forget the office staff they are equally compassionate, empathetic, kind, and sweet. Based on those assurances, I agreed to move forward with the service. Several months later, after that office manager was no longer with the practice, I was contacted and told that my insurance did not cover the procedure after all. The office is now attempting to collect the full balance from me, ontop of what I have paid, despite acknowledging that I was given incorrect information before treatment. The staff was very rude to me when I explained to them that I was mislead and felt I was not givin the right to refuse service if my insurance was not covering that cleaning. Which again I was told it was covered, and my cost was $148 which was paid. What is most disappointing besides being so incredibly rude and unprofessional is that they admit I was misled, yet they still expect me to absorb the cost of their mistake. Patients rely on dental offices to verify insurance benefits and provide accurate information before treatment decisions are made, I know this as my daughter works for an oral surgeon. As a stylist and esthetician, I value supporting local businesses and have referred many of my clients, as well as family and friends, to this practice. Unfortunately, because of how this situation has been handled, I can no longer recommend this office. The lack of organization and accountability has completely changed my opinion of what was initially a positive experience.

They did say i had 3 "watch stops" but nothing that they thought needed work now. They were even shocked Dr. Tuttle recommended a deep cleaning. Canyon Lake Dental felt very money hungry to me. Dr Tuttle tried to sell me on the MARPE, saying i have a lip and tongue tie and it would help my mouth breathing (which yes I'm aware mouth breathing is not good and is something I've been working on). Just felt very much out to get your money so be careful. My husband came in a few months ago too and they told him he needed 7-8 fillings but he just ignored them. Glad he did!
