I have been bringing my Cavachon here for over 2 years and my 6 pound Yorkiepoo for a year. I have been very happy when I pick them up and my Cavachon usually looks like a show dog when Cheryl is done. MY DOGS GET GROOMED EVERY 2 MONTHS When I picked them up I was shocked to see Bailey! She looked like she had been shaven unevenly and her ears had been cut straight across with long hairs mixed in. She looked horrible and Max's ears were cut the same as well. I have seen rescue dogs look better and I paid $65! I think something went wrong, but honesty is always the best. She lost a good customer. I paid my $130 and I won't be going back. I have been paying way more for my Yorkiepoo than what is posted on her website? She upped the price from $45 to $60 when he turned a year (6 pounds). I'm so disappointed in Cheryl. read more

Cheryl is the best. She is super reliable, quick, and very kind. My dog loves her and always comes home beautifully groomed, happy & in a great mood overall. I love that she automatically sets my appointments for every 8 weeks, gives me a little report card for my dog, and did I mention her place is spotless? SPOTLESS. I have never been to such a clean dog grooming salon in my life. She remembers exactly how I like my dog groomed and makes sure to leave her eyelashes perfectly long every time. Her prices are a bit higher than other local places, but still less than I paid at the groomer in the city limits. And in terms of cleanliness & reliability, Cheryl's is absolutely worth the price. read more

Cheryl does exquisite work on our Samoyed who is literally a huge ball of constantly shedding fluff. It's hard to keep up with brushing her at home, and I admit that I don't brush her as much as I should. Cheryl really knows her stuff when it comes to bathing and grooming our girl. I wouldn't trust Kyrie with any other groomer. I've heard horror stories of other establishments going against an owner's wishes and generally ignoring any special instructions. (Such as shaving a dog when explicitly instructed not to) I trust Cheryl 100% with my baby, and she always comes back looking perfect! Kyrie is excited to go to every time, which shows me that Cheryl makes it a good experience for her. Highly recommend! read more

We had taken our dogs to Cheryl's for over 15 years. The past three times she would say that he had mats and it took longer to get them out. The final time when we got our Bichon he was just chopped and looked awful. His cut was uneven and he acted like he had been abused. We will never go back to her again after this last time. He acted like he was in pain in his rectum area. It's sad because we use to really trust her and this happened. read more

After many years bringing our four Scottish terriers to Cheryl's, we called to book our next appointment. After multiple days, we got an impersonal text message saying they were booked through September and could not groom the dogs any longer. For the last few grooms, communication has seemed to slip and attitudes were different -- perhaps COVID and other stressors have taken their toll. We really wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and continue to be loyal customers, as we trusted Cheryl with the dogs we consider family members. I've now read a few recent reviews that mirror our experiences with our dog getting shaved down without warning and not grooming the dogs as we had requested. I booked an appointment with her 3 weeks out. So you can image my dog really needed to be groomed. An hr before my appointment she canceled on me saying she didn't feel up to grooming a puppy. That two Yorkies just came in and it would be to much. Umm okay I booked with you three weeks ago and two dogs come in and now you can't groom my dog. Then she said maybe she could get me in next week. Maybe..... Finally got a yelp account a few weeks back and while its about time to get my dog groomed again I have to rave over this grooming place. I will have to copy and paste my appreciation that I posted on my Facebook after his first time there. "Cheryl's Canine Styling in Milwaukie is amazing! Gary has never left a groomer in a happier mood. He's difficult to shave but they said he was so good for them. They sent him off with a cute fall themed bandana, free treats, and report card! Super inexpensive too. Wish I had found them 7 years ago" I tipped them so well because, It was waaaay less than I had expected and when I did that they offered a free bag of treats. We started taking our two Cockers to Cheryl's in 1995. We have our third Cocker and are still going to Cheryl's. It is very assuring that they love dogs and genuinely care about their health and safety. Kim found a lump on our fur baby girl and we immediately took her to the vet. It needed to be removed and thanks to Kim's attention to detail Britney's life was saved. Cheryl and Kim are the best as well as Rachael who works part time. We just adopted our first pup--a 7 year old Shi Tzu. Cheryl was friendly, professional, very organized and did a SUPER job on his recent grooming visit. Our dog came back happy, looking and smelling great, and Cheryl even sent him home with a new bandana--very cute and a nice finishing touch for his day at the "spa". We plan to use Cheryl's service on a regular basis. The shop is located in a residential neighborhood but not hard to find at all. Parking is on the street and there's plenty of spots. We found our new groomer!!! We won a certificate for a grooming service from an auction, and I am SO glad we did! I took my little pup in earlier this week for a full groom and Cheryl exceeded my expectations. Not only does she do great work, she is very sweet, too! My dog seemed to love her, which is a big change from her shaking with her tail tucked between her legs when we would pick her up from PetSmart. I also had my 18 month old daughter with me, and Cheryl was understanding when she was grabbing items around her. Thank you, Cheryl for the great service! We will certainly be back! Nothing bad to say about this place. When you walk in, instead of barking, whining, and general groomer chaos, it's quiet and mellow. My dog had no issue getting dropped off or picked up and she tends to be quite picky. Cheryl did a beautiful job with her grooming and was finished 2 hours ahead of schedule! She is very patient with the animals and takes things at their pace vs her own. I will definitely be back! read more

I saw two schnauzers being walked in my neighborhood with beautiful haircuts and asked where they had gotten groomed. They told me Cheryl's Canine. That was when I started taking my first dog Kenzie to her. I had Kenzie groomed from puppy, adult, and in the end through her illness. Cheryl was always thoughtful and kind to my baby girl, adjusting her cuts as needed until we lost her. I now have another schnauzer that had been groomed since he was a puppy (he is seven now), and he has always liked going to Cheryl's. I will always take my puppies to Cheryl's. read more

I took my dog here, a very sad eeyore type dog, who has never spent time in a crate. I was told they wouldn't crate him for very long. But when I came to pick up (took 6 hours) they told me I could not bring my dog back because he barked the whole time. Well....imagine that. The cut was just so-so as well.
