Dream Day in a Dream Gown THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WEDDING DRESS. I couldn't have imagined myself in another dress. I am not the typical 20 something bride, and shopping in Bridal Boutiques was not a comfortable option for me. I met JC at a bridal expo and after our first consultation I knew my dress was going to be more than I could have ever imagined. 18 months of planning, several drawings and changes the dress came alive. He truly became my "Fairy God Mother." I loved every appointment and working with him. His ideas were honest and outstanding! He understood my style and idea that I was hoping for perfectly! The moment I saw my finished grown I instantly started crying, I was in awe. The dress fit me like a glove and truly emphasized my personality and style of our wedding. It was adorned with Swarovski Crystals that made it radiate in the sunlight. The dress was not only stunning, but also very comfortable. My experience with JC and Chevillon as a whole has been absolutely magical. Each appointment felt like an event. JC really takes the time to get to know you and exactly what you want, even if you're not sure yourself when you go in.His attention to detail is matched only by his commitment to his brides. At each stage of the process, from the first meeting to make a plan and set a date, to my shoe disaster, to my hair crisis, he was there to provide guidance, support, and just the right phone number to call on short notice. After the second appointment when he showed me a sketch of my dress that he must have pulled straight from my dreams, I took to calling him my "fairy godfather." Who else could create something so  gorgeous? Unlike designers that I've seen, he didn't just create a rough outline of a dress on a stick-figure model that looked nothing like me. He took the time to create a detailed representation of what my final product would look like on my body. As a plus size bride, attempting to find a dress or even somewhere to try one on that actually fit was a nightmare. But JC took my hand and not only made me feel comfortable and beautiful, he transformed me into a glittering princess. I met JC at the bride world show seredipitously, because I didn't consider or expect to meet anyone at the show about custom wedding dresses. I had come across a dress online, that I very intrigued by, it had red lace embellishments on a plain simple white dress but still very unique. However, they were out of stock except for the very small and large sizes so I was very disappointed. When I first came across the Chevillon booth, JC had several attendees in his booth and I didn't get a chance to talk to him. I walked the remainder of the show and decided that I would try and stop again before leaving to see if he was busy, luckily when I circled back just before the show closed he was available. We talked for a bit, and I showed him the dress that I had come across but was no longer available. He said that we could use that as an inspiration to create a piece that I would love. Since the consultation was free, I figured why not what do I have to lose; I booked a consultation appointment right on the spot, I figured worse thing I could do was say "no thanks" and settle for something off the rack. I got really excited for the prospect as I walked out of the show. I was not expecting to spend much for the dress because my thought was I'm going to wear it once and never again, why spend thousands of dollars on something I'll probably only wear once. So I thought about what I would do if he designed "The Dress". Without a doubt JC did just that and it did make me reconsider my budget but it made me even more excited for my wedding day so I decided to splurge. JC was very professional, patient, and skilled; after deciding on having my dress custom designed I had every confidence that it was going to be elegant, stunning, and worth any amount. He was very responsive, answered every question and concern I had throughout the entire process. I was extremely pleased with his work and the piece he created, and I would recommend getting a custom designed dress. I originally met JC of Chevillon at wedding convention. Long story short I never thought I would want a custom made dress for my wedding. My husband is the one who convinced me to get a custom made dress because your wedding is a once in a life time event. We met with JC and he asked me questions about my dream wedding and what I envisioned my wedding dress to look like. By the end of the appointment he sketched a drawing that absolutely took my breath away. It was perfect and even when I didn't know exactly what my dress would like because I had never tried on a dress before, it was like he read my mind. Fast forward to a year later and due to an unexpected surgery I had lost 60 pounds. Even with this change change JC was able to design the dress to better fit my body and change some accents to that my changing body would be flattered In the most amazing way. I went for my final measurements and still nervous about how I would look in my dress because it has not completed due to my change in weight I was unsure how I would feel about the finished product. When I put the dress on and looked the mirror, I was blown away, speechless absolutely speechless. I was so overwhelmed with emotion because for the first time in years and with all the changes in my body I never thought that I would look like an amazing bride. For the first time in my life I felt like a princess. I could not believe that what I had imagined my self looking on my wedding day since I was a little girl, would actually come true. I felt absolutely beautiful In my dress and for the first time felt like a bride. I couldn't stop crying and looking at myself in such disbelief. I felt amazing, literally everything about the dress was perfect. From the lace and Swarovski crystals , to the style of bodice, to the flow of the dress and how it accentuated my body was perfect. There is nothing that I would change about my dress. I have an amazing dress that no one else will ever have an absolute one of a kind that I can pass down to my future children and can tell them no one has this dress. It was a dream come true and all because of JC. I know on my wedding day that I will look amazing and my husband will be blown away when he sees me walk down the aisle to him. My experience working with JC was wonderful. JC is a very kind and patient person. I knew exactly what I wanted and I knew I wanted it to suit my body. At our first meeting I described to JC what I was envisioning for myself and at the end he showed me what he sketched. I was so impressed, if you can take a picture of what I was imagining in my mind that is what he drew. He used the most beautiful lace and softest silk I have ever seen. The quality of his work was impeccable. I didn't have to worry about bras, spanx, alterations, or any of those things because if it was needed it was built in the dress. I LOVED my dress. Chevillon is a wonderful, life saving, custom dress shop that created the dress of my dreams for my wedding! I found the shop through Yelp :) I called in not sure about the shop or services but JC made a spot for me and I decided to check it out. JC is the creator of my gown and owner. He is the sweetest most professional guy around! I enjoyed every minute of planning for my dress. I wanted something very specific: a form fitting wedding gown that still let me move comfortably but still looked sexy. I wanted long sleeves all lace dress with an open back and a long cathedral train with lace scalloping. After going to many local stores and around LA, I wasn't happy with what I was finding, nothing fit me like I wanted it to. JC was very detailed in what he could do for me and was very honest, which I loved and appreciated. I received a sketch of my gown and a contract of how everything gets broken down, payments and timing. It worked out perfectly and within our budget! He made it happen in less than two months! I can honestly say normally I freak out a little when I'm not sure about things and with Juan Carlos I just knew he captured my idea and I could feel it in his energy. I always left feeling confident he'd do a great job. We had a great connection and loved meeting with him. Each time my excitement grew more for my dress! JC is amazing! Im not the kind of girl that dreamt of her wedding day or dress.
