I was shopping at other bridal places who were pressuring me to order my wedding dress because they said it would take 7 months to ship and then I'd still have to pay for alterations somewhere else. My wedding is in April, Miriam was very helpful. She showed me a booklet of wedding dresses and said that they were all under $1200 and that the dress would be delivered in a week. I went a different route from the typical long dress mine is short with lots of bling and design. I knew what I wanted from the start in a wedding dress. I searched and searched before it was decided that I would have to have a custom dress made. What sealed the deal is finding out I was going to be a pregnant bride. I was very fortunate to have found Miriam and her Mom Mary to help me look and feel beautiful on my special day. I knew it would be tricky with a baby in my tummy. We did not know how I would grow in the coming months. They worked with me and in the end I was very pleased. This review is long long long over due. Where do I start... Miriam and her mom did an amazing job. They made my dreams come true with my custom wedding dress. I came in with and idea and they created something better and so me. They quality of material they offered was beautiful. I can technically say my dress was a Gucci dress because one of the main layers was a beautiful silky and stretchy Gucci material lol. The fabric was so comfortable and on top of that it was affordable! They found a lace that matches my specific desires. Never once did they push an expensive fabric or outrageous design. Miriam showed me what fabrics would fit the style I was going for from a very cheap kind to an expensive one. From that great selection I happily choose what I liked. They went above and beyond on the craftsmanship and customer service. My mom and mother in law both ordered dresses from a catalog through them. And let me say my moms aren't the easiest to please lol but they made the process so easy. When you order a dress from a catalog from them, the alterations (if needed, which they always are) are included! 5 stars for this hidden gem ! My first experience here was I was looking for a bridesmaid dress I was told to buy. I had absolutely no time to drive to downtown LA and voila they had the catalog with the dress I needed in it. I ordered the dress for a great price and it included tailoring. How great is that! Oh and saved me a trip to downtown LA "woot woot " Simultaneously I'm managing my own wedding. Ordered a bridal shower dress online and I got it and omg it looked like a little girls dress on me and did not look like a hi-low dress. They fixed it and tailored it to my body. So it wouldn't look like a flower girl dress Then my wedding dress comes in from another boutique very very far away Come to find out I feel they purposely ordered it a size too big so I would "have to" pay for tailoring. They gave me a quote and I thought it was outrageous. Since I had a great experience with Madela Bridal I decided to bring my dress here. Did they not meet my expectations. They exceeded them by far. My dress was extremely beaded and all the work that was done to it was so perfect you couldn't tell. First the back was too long for my torso and they fixed it and you can't even tell. Then one part of my dress was trumpet style and I wanted it more fitted. They completed my wish ( all the beading wasn't an obstacle ;) ) and lastly the hemming. Of course I'm 5' tall and well it was hemmed to perfection. I also ordered many accessories for my wedding and Miriam gave me a great price. Got pillows, champagne flutes, knives and veil. We finally made it out to Madela Bridal. I've been following this shop for a while on IG. My sister is getting married, and I convinced my mother to make the drive with me to Fontana from LA. I was looking forward to it. However, I was very disappointed by their customer service. We went in with intentions to spend money and even possibly talk to the owner about a custom dress for my daughter's upcoming quince in 2024. However, we never got to that point. The ]d she ever acknowledge us. We were handed books by a young lady. When we did see the owner she was preoccupied on her phone. She disappeared to the back and only came out when someone picked up a dress. She would then disappear to the back leaving the young lady to deal with all the incoming foot traffic and customer service that was not good. If not local I wouldn't recommend really making the drive. The dresses are from DTLA. You can find them on San Julian with the same turnaround. For custom jobs and more elaborate dresses I recommend April Black Diamond who has a small boutique in DTLA on Santee. April Black Diamond is top notch and provides luxury service with customer service that matches. I really had high hopes for this place becoming of Instagram but not everything is as it seems in real life and will be unfollowing as well. read more

My family and I have chose Madela Bridal for many occasions and have never been disappointed. Miriam and her mother are very professional and always give us what we ask for. So I reached out to them via phone Miriam was the one who answered and kept in contact with me throughout the whole process, I even missed a fitting appointment which would've delayed the time the skirt would be ready but Miriam understood I was at work and wouldn't get out till 8pm, she kindly offered to wait even after the shop closed to make sure I get my fitting. I know we have the same name which is odd. This place is so expensive especially for a bridesmaid dress like $250? Really? If it wasn't for being a bridesmaid in a wedding I'd go to downtown la for much much cheaper. Different fittings. Having to deal with the old lady who takes measurements in the back. She was very rude & not even a nice hello. Ugliest dress I've ever owned. I reached out to Madela Bridal after a well known designer whom I had already given a deposit to, rubbed me the wrong way. His assistant and the way they worked was so unprofessional. I was 6 months out from my wedding and no dress! I'm a very petite person, there was no way I could have purchased a dress at a bridal store and have it altered in time. I showed up to Madela Bridal with about 72 inspiration pictures and a million ideas. Without hesitation they agreed to make my gown and for a great price! They were so patient with me throughout the entire process. I'm beyond grateful that I found them. They really saved the day. Did I mention that they also made my bridesmaids dresses, altered my mother's dress,my Dad's coat, my bridal shower dress and made me a robe?? Yeah, they did all that too! I came in to get my wedding dress altered. I wanted to get a hook attached to the train so it could be lifted during the reception, as well as a hem because my dress was too long from the front. The process took about a month. This shop does not have mirrors that allow you to see yourself in a 360 degree view, so it was not easy for me to see how the back of my dress really looked like until I got home. When I got home I realized the train looked awkward from the back when being hooked to a single a button they placed for lifting purposes. I called to see if this issue could be resolved, and was fine paying again for new changes since I had not pointed out this mistake earlier. The woman who altered my dress was named Socorro, and was very rude over the phone unwilling to resolve this issue. She also told me she was booked with appointments for the next few days, which I found odd because the first time I met with her, the shop was empty and they took me in no problem. I ended up going to another bridal shop on the same block. The seamstress at this other shop immediately pointed out that the work done on my dress previously was incorrect, and she was surprised the first seamstress (Socorro) said nothing to me in efforts to try to resolve it. All in all, the price is affordable here, but I guess it's true when they say you get what you pay for. read more

My wedding was planned in 2 months so I was having difficulty finding somewhere to purchase a dress on such a short notice.
