Like others have mentioned, they have deceptive pricing practices. They have one price listed online but when it comes down to the 'real' price they tack on accessories that bump the price an additional 10%+ and won't remove them. They are not price competitive and are non-negotiable. Quite frankly, cost aside I don't want anyone messing around and modifying a car with accessories or ceramic coating a car prior to purchase. I don't want crap I'm going to remove and I want to see the paint in it's honest condition, not partially hidden by paint correction & coatings. They were polite to talk to, but their pricing practices border on 'shady.' If they just posted the real price it would save everyone a lot of time and frustration, and their reviews would be much higher. Found the vechile I was looking for with the help of John Means. I was looking for an Equinox EV with certain options, John took me to their lot to find what I was looking for, they had a good selection of vechiles. They were willing to negotiate and find discounts to get the prices lower to what I believe was a fair deal. After that, it took a while to get into financing to finish the paperwork. Basically, I just sat around bored, I should have just gone home and came in the next day to sign the paperwork. Once in the finance room, it went fairly quickly and efficiently. Pickpocket! Took my car to service center because my car wouldn't turn off they ran a diagnostic and service Rep Chris stated it was the battery so we replaced. Went to pick up the car and issue was still there they ran another diagnostic now they said it's a switch, we asked to get it replaced then they say it's the transmission. We decline transmission service and $5000 later all they did was replace the battery Chris didn't want to replace the switch because we decline the transmission service, but still charging us labor for a switch they never replaced! Like I said pickpocket and frustration because they are easily charging us for a job that wasn't completed. We bought our Chevy Silverado from this dealership in the mist of Covid. It took the service department 2 years to install the heated steering and seat package that I had paid for. Not only that as they did they broke a peace on my console. The very next morning I brought the car back to have that fix , and was told by their employe to not worry about it, that they would take care of it on my next oil change. Joke is on me, Ricky ( the said employee) isn't here anymore ( because he was not doing his job correctly) . He didn't documented this issue, now I have to pay $450 to fix it!!!!! Worst car dealership ever, from top to the bottom. Their manager Liz is the worse ever to communicate with clients because she was always trying to talk over you and try to make me feel stupid. I was trying go over numbers with her she kept interrupting me. From what it sounds, she doesn't know numbers and definitely doesn't have great. Customer service. I was trying to explain the payments they offered me and the supposedly discount they were offering me, but there was no discount and it was all added into the payment. She just hung up on me and told me to take my business somewhere else. I'm not sure how dealership people that don't have great communication skills or decent customer service. I've been in contact with a few other people from their dealership but it seems like they're just playing games. I even stop by in person because I told them I would let them earn my business again and to see how they treat a returning customer. Three years ago, I leased a car from them and their sales person raise my payment up $20 because of some insurance for a lease. I just had purchased a used gmc truck for my son at another gmc dealership locally a few days ago, but it took an extra 2 hours of our time because they had it stored at a storage lot elsewhere. I own a business and don't have much time to be out and about all day let alone I'm in south Orange County and there's traffic. I called to verify if it was present on the lot so I didn't waste time if I drove out to look at it. I never made any appointments or plans. All I said was I will probably come "this week, maybe friday depending on my schedule" and I hung up. Now she continues to call, text and email me about the vehicle. She just texted me this morning saying I "wasn't honest" and that all the sales people work on schedules and I didn't show up to my 11am Thursday appointment to see the car that they were waiting for me and canceled their schedules. Lol what? You are a car dealership, there's tons of salesman sitting around all day no salesman is canceling plans or skipping out on potential customers who are already there looking at cars on the lot. What a fantastic buying experience my husband and I had!! We drove nearly 2 hours to get to the dealership because they had a specific vehicle that my husband was looking for. Actually, they had two in their inventory. I spoke to Christian on Friday morning and sent him specific paperwork before we even got there. When we arrived, the two vehicles were pulled up in front of the dealership ready for test drive. Christian, Andrew, and Bryan in Finance were wonderful. I only get a recording saying to leave a message. I have even tried leaving a message for the General Manager. I cannot imagine why a business would not answer the phone. The one time that I did get a human, she transferred me to the Finance Department, but since no one answered, the line went dead instead of going back to the operator. I bought a used Audi S7 in March 2025. Everything about this encounter has been awful. I responded to an ad online for an 2024 S7 for ~$76K. The ad said the Market Value was ~$90K and the dealership was discounting it $14K down to $76K. Looked like a good deal so I went in. First thing they did was to give me term sheet showing the $76K but then added in $10K for add-ons. The web ad clearly states they were discounted but one of the managers during this ordeal said that the fine print in the ad says they will add that back in. I'm thinking WTH? Indeed, their website does have fine print which directly contradicts the ad stating the dealer was absorbing/discounting the dealer add-ons which got me in there in the first place. Did not honor their web site price. Not misleading, just simply won't honor what was advertised. The 2nd 'manager' (they keep sending in more people) said he'd drop it to $2800. I said they're crooks if they don't honor the original $76K and walked out. They intercepted me before I got to my car and asked what would I pay. I said $2000. They agreed. So, still fuming, I went to finance. The finance guy, Don, talked a lot and kept showing me exactly where to sign and now I know why. He was distracting me. Upon reviewing the contract at home the next day, I found a charge of $1100 that was never discussed nor approved by me. It shows up in the contract as simply "Accessories". I figured out how they got it past me both on the term sheet and during signing but that's not necessary for this review. This is my fifth Audi and I've had really good experiences buying all of them except this one. The other four I bought from Audi dealerships. I thought dealers were getting more by the book since the internet arms consumers making it harder for them to deceive. Well apparently, there are still dishonest dealers preying on uninformed people. Chevrolet of Carson is one of the dishonest ones. Too bad Chevrolet of Carson can't figure out how to make money without screwing people. One last warning to others. After my purchase, I got a text that stated it was from the GM, Chris Hunter, saying I was going to get a survey and asked if I couldn't give them 5-starts to please reply so they could try and sort things out. I replied and they overcharged me and subsequently I couldn't give them 5-starts. That too is a scam in their arsenal. They and other companies use that to filter out who actually gets surveys. So next time you have a bad experience and get one of those texts, say everything was great then tell the true story if you get the survey. I don't think they'd resort to this tactic if the survey had no impact on their business. Every little bit of pressure and exposure one can apply might help someone else down the road. Bottom line: 1) Don't deal with Chevrolet of Carson for anything. They are simply dishonest and untrustworthy. 2) Be 200% vigilant when dealing with any dealer all the way through finance. DO NOT GIVE UP THE KEY TO YOUR TRADE IN UNTIL YOU'RE DONE WITH FINANCE. It's your last piece of leverage to walk out the door if you discover later in finance that something's not right. They'll keep you there endlessly if they have your key to try and wear you down. I get smarter every time I get scammed and now will never again fall for Chevrolet of Carson's tactics but who knows what unscrupulous dealers will come up with next. When buying a car, especially a high-end car, having a really unpleasant encounter takes some of the shine off that new car experience. Shame on them. Was told that the car would take awhile to be picked up because there were other people in front of him at the service center. So I went for a walk waiting for a text that the car was picked up. When I returned 15-20 minutes later, I was told by a salesman outside that they were going to tow my car because they needed the parking space. The parking spot adjacent to mine was empty =(. The parking lot in front also does not say service center guests can not use the lot. When I told the sales counter not to tow the car and how I was waiting on the service center to assist a family member they then proceeded to try to hard sale me on a new car. Couldn't they tell I was annoyed because they threatened to tow my car? And annoyed at the slow service of their service center? My bumper is falling off after it was serviced at this dealership for my check engine light. They scammed me out of $375 to splice my wire and not replace it since they said it was damaged by a "rodent". I believe Elmer removed a screw from my bumper after I didn't agree with the service recommendation. Now my bumper is loose from the side due to the screw being removed by Elmer. Rogelio Rodrigues also known as Roger is also part of the scam here as he is the one who did the paperwork. Save your money and go somewhere else. They are blaming the loose bumper on me and saying that I hit my car when I did not. They are making me do multiple appointments to get blamed for the issue and not fix it. POOR quality service and POOR quality cars!!!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU PURCHASE A CAR FROM HERE!!!! On February of 2024, I came in and purchased a brand new 2024 ZR2 2500hd. As negotiations were concluded, I walked into finance where the finance guy asked me for my drivers license. Brian, my sales consultant at the time, never returned my license. Long story short, I walked over to Brian and ask for my drivers license back, Brian told me he gave me MY drivers license back which he never did, and asked me to empty my pockets to prove it. I was not in possession of my license because I was not handed it back to me. A few minutes later my license was found inside of the sales consultant's office on the floor, where only sales consultants go and have access. It was found by another sales consultant who told me Brian had dropped my drivers license on the floor. I never received an apology however, I continued to purchase my vehicle. My vehicle is BRAND NEW, and there is rust all on the bottom bolts, my adaptive cruise control does not work, my top glove box is bubbling up, and the alignment is off. Chevy of carson did a terrible job trying to shoo me away, they just threw my rear floor mats in the back and did not install/cut them properly, They told me those trucks do not have adaptive cruise control which auto nation valencia told me it does. I was told the rust was normal, and the bubbling wasn't "seeable." The alignment was "fixed" however, immediately leaving the dealership the alignment was off to the opposite side. I called the corporate office where I am now taking my truck to another dealership to fix the issues. I was told the rust is a serious concern and a safety issue. It's been almost 2 months now, and I don't even know if I can drive my vehicle safely due to the rust. This has been such a headache!! Please do not buy a car from here !!! read more

Make sure the car you're looking at here has gas on your test drive, otherwise you're going to be stuck on the road, like me. For 30 minutes i was stuck on the side of the road with no gas, until they came with gas and filled up the car. Just before my test drive, I noticed the gas was low and made the salesman Ruben aware of this. He said "it's ok, just don't go too far and you'll be fine." I drove a few blocks down from the dealer and the vehicle turned off. Typically I wouldn't make a review about this but there was absolutely no apologies, no regret on their side and they made it seem like I was at fault for driving a few blocks down from the dealer. How do they expect a customer to test drive a car with no gas? I would never buy a car from this dealer. Stay clear. Not to mention the car was in absolutely terrible condition. I only give it 1 star because of Bryan (Sales). He was always willing to help and he made the process of choosing the right vehicle easy for my father. (1st Time Buyer) Thanks Bryan! If you're a fist time buyer and want a good experience. Don't come here. The finance team Chris was great he explained everything to my dad in Spanish it was the other finance guy who was the problem. Be careful and do not let him raise his voice at you. He even told me to sit down in a very condescending tone, which was not acceptable. Be careful when doing paperwork because the sales person will tell you that they are going to offer you 3 packages on service, etc. This finance person did NOT offer them he simply added them to the Contract and said that I had already talked to the sales team and made that agreement. DO NOT let them do this. Sales will tell you a price and finance will add things and tell you another price. Another thing was I am military and they cannot sell GAP to military. I understand that now. However, this finance person could NOT tell me why he couldn't sell me GAP he just said that he couldn't and that the Military would COVER me! Come on, no its not. I found out that they can in fact sell GAP to military they just CANNOT add it to the total finance cost. It has to be sold separately. Something this finance guy couldn't tell me. Lastly, the finance team did NOT send me the paperwork we signed. They will tell you that you are going to receive and email with it. Well we didn't. I trusted them and they didn't deliver. Do NOT trust them. If you are going to buy a vehicle from this place make sure you receive that email before you leave their office and make sure that you are able to open all the documents. Bryan (sales) did an awesome job and helped us get one document that we needed because after many calls/voicemails to the finance dep. they never reached out. I am surely NOT recommending this dealership to any of my friends or family. I don't know if their AC in the finance office actually doesn't work but that room was extremely hot. I don't know if they use it as a tactic to try and get people anxious and get them to sign all documents fast so that they can get out of there. Do not let them do this to you.
