Went to Chevy of Everett and placed a deposit down on a new car. After calling to confirm a week later they became unresponsive to my requests until the day of delivery when they informed me they had already sold it. I am now trying to get them to refund my deposit. After telling me that they sold the car I had a deposit on they "maybe we can get you one by the end of the year but no promises." Why would I put another deposit down and wait 4 more months just to risk this happening again. read more

From the salesman blowing our speakers, to telling me the "clicking/clanking" sound in my front end is water "sloshing" around in my battery, to it taking 3 people, 2 dealerships, 3 trips, 400+ miles, and 2-3 weeks to simply install a trailer brake module (4 wires, pre-wired from factory,) to the Service Manager Scott blowing off our appointment. We bought a new Equinox from Chevy of Everett, and we're very happy with it. Salesperson Bob was the MVP and got us the only vehicle that met our criteria in the area. Finance guy John made the paperwork go smoothly and took time to answer our questions as needed. Buying a car is still a lot more tedious and annoying than, say, buying stuff on Amazon. I hope dealerships in general will think about ways to streamline the purchasing process and improve price transparency, especially for younger generations of customers. Even so, Chevy of Everett went out of their way to get us exactly what we wanted, so on the most important things, we came away very happy. The online team was very responsive and let us know the vehicle we were looking for was set to arrive at the dealership in a few days. They called us when it arrived and set up a test drive for us. We went through this a few times and like Pandora figuring out your tastes, they were able to narrow the options down to two vehicles. Since it was a new vehicle, they were also able to layer on a good amount of discounts to make that new-vehicle price a little more manageable. I've stopped by their service department twice: once for tinting and a second time for an oil change & to get a tire patched. The service department is clean, the people are friendly, and the prices are competitive. Chevrolet of Everett is probably the best dealership in the area. The staff presented themselves as professional and friendly. My sales person was Eddie, and my Sales Manager was Bob. Both made sure I ended up with the vehicle I wanted. The sales team pointed out the benefits of purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. The 172 point-check made by their world class certified mechanics was the bullet point that convinced me to make my final decision. I also received great service from service employees Chris, Stan, and Dan, and even the finance expert John left a good impression. The dealership building is a new property that includes a large, clean, comfortable waiting room with modern flat screen TVs, coffee, lots of seating, phone charging USB ports, restrooms and vending. How my car is still unsafe at any speed... Too bad I can't give no stars and I'm sure this will be taken down but here is what happened. After waiting many months for parts to be available to fix a serious safety recall issue with my car, I went in to have the scheduled service performed. The loaner car option didn't work out so I had to go back to the dealership to wait for a shuttle ride home. As I was walking away from the service desk area, I heard at least two of the service advisers laughing that I would be waiting a long time for a ride since I didn't have a courtesy van reservation. I just kept walking back to the waiting area and and was tapping my water bottle on the table that was there. I guess I was doing it off and on and wasn't thinking too much of it. Out walks some guy who says he is the service manager with two male employees with him - one to his left and another in the hallway behind him. He was VERY aggressive in telling me to stop tapping my water bottle which I wasn't even doing at that time. He could have asked nicely but instead he demanded that I stop, demanded I acknowledge his request, and tried to stare me down in silence. He started walking away from me and muttered something back at me under his breath (pretty sure he called me an a**hole) and I told him to F off. He goes ballistic now.running back and telling me to get out now. I pointed out that without my car I had no way to leave and that is why I was waiting for the shuttle. He said he wouldn't perform the critical safety recall work, had my car brought around, and made me leave under threat of calling Everett PD. So now I still have an unsafe car thanks to Chevrolet of Everett and currently no way to get the recall work done. I've reflected on this today and can't figure out what I did to get such a response. Until the exchange with the service manager, there was no posturing, vulgarities, or anything else that could be considered threatening or even rude on my part. It's hard to give an overall score, since I've had both great and awful experiences with the service department here. The good: the detail you can get here is an incredible deal. They did an amazing job. Also, the staff in service appear earnest and helpful, particularly Dustin and Stan. They get five stars. However, buying tires here gets negative stars. I would recommend you not buy tires here. My experience has been awful. I bought some Goodyear Wrangler Adventure All-Terrains when they had a tire sale. I had them installed on my GMC Sierra in late summer/early fall of 2017. It did not take me very long to come back, because I was now feeling a vibration at highway speeds. We went back and forth, and they blamed my wheels, saying one was bent... and offered to sell me a new rim for $1000. I declined and took the rim to a local shop and the guy said there was a negligible bend in one rim, which he fixed, almost for free. However, he also told me that the rim did not cause my vibration and that the tires, two in particular, had excessive "run out," or something like that. He showed me: the rims spun perfectly round, but you could see the tire tread going up and down. So, I went back to the Everett. They took the truck, acknowledged the vibration, and "tested" the tires. I was told that tires won't ever be truly round and that my wobbly Goodyears were good enough. I tried a few more times, but they were unwilling/unable to help. I've tried over the last year and a half or so to accept/ignore the vibration, and have since moved from the area. I was recently told by the dealer here at my new place that I need new tires soon. I asked why, and they said it was likely that the uneven vibration was causing excessive/uneven wear. These tires have 30k on them and they're supposed to be 60k+ tires. When I checked with a local tire/wheel shop here, they told me that the tires were not balanced properly (Chevrolet of Everett had balanced them), but that the bigger problem was the tires themselves being faulty and out of round. The local shop also pointed out the date code on the tires.... 3015. These tires were made in July of 2015! He explained that they had sold me old ass tires, and that this would likely account for the unevenness, if they had been stored for two years up against an edge. I appreciate the local guy educating me. If I had known they were already middle-aged when the dealer was installing them, I would have never accepted delivery. So, now I'm thousands of miles away, still trying to ignore highway vibration, with tires that should have years and tens of thousands left on them... instead I have no recourse and an $1200 bill for new tires. All of this could have been avoided if they didn't sell me old tires or replaced them when I first raised the vibration issue. read more

I took my truck to this dealership after it coming highly recommended from a co worker. After bringing my truck there all I can say is that I was very disappointed with how they not only conduct business from their service side. But the miscommunication throughout the whole process. After snapping a component needing to fix my vehicle, Service advisor Dan specified that part as my issue that I would need to pay for. Forgoing a 5 1/2 week long process of myself having to call in for any sort of updates, being extremely frustrated not knowing when I was going to get my only vehicle back, As well as extending my expected time frame of getting my truck pushed back every time I called in. I was not offered a rental car or any sort of discount for an inconvenience not caused by me. Needless to say after having the "customer experience" I did I will not be going back to service my vehicle or buy any new vehicles moving forward. On 11/11/20, my fiancé and I went into Chevrolet of Everett after receiving multiple emails from them regarding their interest in buying my vehicle after having done a KBB instant cash offer. I had called them and spoke to Jordan about making an appointment. We asked her if we could get a ballpark estimate before we made the drive down (40 minutes away) and she said they would need to see the vehicle in person. We figured they wouldn't be contacting us every single day if they weren't interested so we made the drive down. We arrived and were not greeted for at least 5 minutes even though employees were walking around us not looking very busy. (Annoying but oh well) We were eventually asked if we needed help and we said we had an appointment with Drew. That person went and told Drew we were waiting to see him. After standing at the front door for another 5-10 minutes, somebody else asked us if we had been helped and we said we were waiting for Drew. The person then said "I was making sure you weren't just standing around." and then walked away... After a few more minutes we were offered to sit in the corner and wait. We were being treated like crap, as if we weren't asked repeatedly via email to come in and convinced on the phone it was worthwhile... We then waited another 20-30 minutes, meanwhile we noticed somebody just walking around, snacking and chatting. This ended up being Drew... After we asked the front desk person how much longer it was going to be, they went and got Drew who seemed very annoyed that we were there. He barely greets us and proceeds to complain that he has to deal with people like us 28+ times a day and asks us what we had to sell him. We went out and showed him the vehicle and gave him details as he barely responded. After a couple minutes he said let's go inside and see what we can do. Didn't hold the door for us and just walked to his office without saying anything more. Again we waited in the lobby for him to come back and explain in a round about and unclear way that they don't buy cars with more than 100k on them and then stared at us. It was awkward and confusing. We then tell him that THEY were the ones that convinced us to come in even after we said we didn't want to make the drive if it wasn't worth it and maybe they shouldn't send so many emails to people encouraging them to come in without disclosing their stipulations. Drew interrupts saying "What do you want for it?" We told him it doesn't even matter at this point and left. No apology. How this guy has a job is a complete mystery. Maybe they shouldn't harass people about buying their used cars if they are going to treat them like scum when they come in. So, I recently purchased a Corvette and was looking to have a transmission service completed on it. I stopped by the service department in person. I spoke to the service advisor and explained the service I was looking for, providing the car make model & year. I asked what the cost would be? I was quoted $239 ish and I confirmed that the service included a new transmission filter, etc. I did not make an appointment at that time due to wanting to check weather and pick a nice day to drive the car there. The next Tuesday (6/14) I drove into the dealership once again and spoke to a service advisor (different one) and made an appointment for Thursday (6/16/22). On Thursday I drove the car into the dealership at my appt time. I entered the service advisor area and the service advisor I initially spoke with approx. 6-7 days prior greeted me asking me what he could help me with. I advised him I was there for an appt and he directed me to the other service advisors, it appears that he handles the walk-ins for oil changes and the like. I spoke to service advisor Mason Scott, I explained to Mr. Scott why I was there and had an appointment that I made a couple days before. He checked his computer and advised he could not find an appt for me in their system. I confirmed with him I had been in a couple of days prior and the service advisor I spoke with at the time had contacted him (he was on his lunch break) to obtain his computer password. He recalled this and we proceeded on. I explained the service I wanted to have done and he inputted my info into their system (again). He requested the keys to my car so he could gather needed info from the car. Shortly after his return he presented me with the service authorization document to sign and I noted that the service cost was now 33% higher with a quoted price of $334. I explained that I was quoted a lower price by the other service advisor (pointed to him) to which Mr. Scott explained that was for a service without a filter and I believe for an Equinox make of car. I left the dealership as I felt like it was a bait & switch. If in a similar situation I would suggest getting a quote in writing so changes don't occur. read more

Chris did a great job showing me cars I wanted to look and and got a great feeling for what I was looking for. He was very friendly, along with Sally they have great customer service skills and also have followed up with me about a few things after the purchase of my new Tahoe. I however am not at all impressed with the service department or anyone else. I had left messages for a financial person to call me back about a treatment on my car that I wanted to purchase while my car was already in the service department and I had to call back multiple times before I actually got to speak with someone. Also when I dropped off my Tahoe to get the leather and heated seats put in nobody in the service department knew why I was there and also did not have the right kind of rental car ready for me and took them over 30min just to get into the rental key system. They also said I had a full tank of gas in the rental car and to return it this way but when I started the rental car it was only half full of gas. Was so thrilled when they opened up in Everett. Finally a closer option than going to Marysville or Lake City for service. Unfortunately, after having my oil change there and a door handle replaced , I don't think I will be returning. It is the small differences that they are lacking which has turned me off. For starters, got my oil change done. They had my car under someone else's name. So I had to have that corrected. Next they charge 15$ more than the dealership I go to. On top of that they don't wash the car on site, they gave me a voucher to go to a place down the street. The other dealerships go over the diagnostics report with me and explain anything they have found or areas of concern which might be coming up as far as service wise. I had to prompt this dealership for the paperwork and they just handed It to me without any explanation. I am a technician myself for 20 years and the only reason for getting work done by the dealership was that the truck had an extended warranty. You tried to say I had an oil pan leak Wich was false the truck never has dropped a drop of oil $2,500 repair which I declined and all I wanted done was my Carrier bearing and I wanted my u joints done because they were non greasable and we're originally . You came back with an estimate of $100 per u joint which there are 3 that's rediculous that's 3 times retail so I bought 3 sets and your "TECHNICIAN" Said they won't fit and that the ones I bought were non greasable which I showed him that they were and you use a needle grease gun to do so , well after ty hat my confidence with your dealership was shot I told the manager I'll just get my truck and go somewhere else that knows what there doing and what there talking about . Took my HHR to this service center for what should have been a simple electrical issue. I have been working on cars my whole life but don't do very well with electrical. When I replaced the shift modules in the transmission I accidentally switched the two wires that go into the front of the fuse box area and it would no longer start after I corrected my mistake. I thought I would just take it to the dealership despite everyones advice about them ripping people off. After them ordering a wrong part and having to wait a week they got it running but now say that I have over $3000 worth of issues with my motor that it didn't have before I took it there. The service advisor even went as far as to tell me that the brand new plugs I had just installed were fowled and needed to be replaced. Well,turns out they never even took a single plug out! It cost me $855.31 for a part I can buy online for $100 or less and $525 for them to plug in the one plug and they didn't even have to turn a wrench. I had this vehicle checked before I replaced the transmission modules and none of the things they told me are now wrong were even brought up. Zero codes for any of those issues. There is human error and then there's complete incompetence. I think they are scamming unsuspecting and unknowing people into outrageous bills for issues that weren't even checked properly by their mechanics and relayed properly to the customers. I always thought it was a myth that dealerships service centers are a rip off. Now I know it was all true. I do NOT recommend this service center at all. read more

Drove a hour south to get my free oil change. I will never go there again. After almost 2 hours of waiting I had to go track my car down. When I finally got my keys and paperwork back, I was told that my tires were getting cloes to needing replacement (nope, just got them in October) and that my front brakes needed replacing and that it would cost $600. The paperwork I was given said I had 3mm left on my brakes but then the service representative said, "oh he said it is 1mm and that was being generous." Why am I being told 2 different things? Absolutely zero apology for it taking TWO HOURS for a simple oil change. Their waiting area is very nice and I would be okay with the long drive to have a nice place for my kids to play while getting my car serviced, IF their service wasn't so terrible. When I arrived my car of choice was waiting for me with a personal greeting note posted on window. (I refer to this as the Nordstrom customer service mindset). Mr. Blahbleih went over in detail every feature of car. Later upon closing the deal he again walked me through all the details of car. Working with finance was efficient and above aboard. I was in and out in 1.5 hrs. I drove off the lot with my new Lexus feeling quite satisfied. I will definitely recommend Chevrolet of Everett to family and friends.
