This is one of the best gas station around. It's location is perfect as you can enter from multiple directions and from the plaza. It is always clean here. The water for window cleaning is changed frequently and napkins are always available. Gas pumps are working 95% of the time. The whole area is clean and welcoming. The gas is usually delivered on time, so the shopping experience here is great! Also, the owners of this gas station are always on the lookout for new technology. They were one of the first places to adopt touch less paying system. Even before the pandemic, they knew what a hustle it is to swipe the card and added a payment by phone system. It works perfectly fine, so you can add your Safeway card number to get a discount and pay with your phone! How awesome is that?! read more

I usually come to this location before I go home if I am low of gas. I wouldn't say their prices are cheaper then the East Bay but they are sure cheaper then the gas in SF. Usually when I come its never crowded but that's in the evening around 7pm. I really like where this gas station is because its near a Safeway, Bank of America, Liquor Store, Mexican restaurant....Its SO convenient. I go here every week to refuel after work because it's way cheaper than the gas back home in SF. A couple of the pumps go REALLY slowly (maybe three-hundredths of a gallon per second) but that's ok. What's NOT okay is I got a soda from the soda fountain inside and it had a DEAD SPIDER in it, which I didn't realize until the effing thing was IN MY MOUTH. Ugggggh. Only buying bottled sodas from now on. Yuck. For the record, I've had a number of sodas from that soda fountain that did not contain spiders. But one is all it takes. 5 stars for convenience near work and relatively low prices; -2 stars for spider in soda. read more

Convenient location that looks great (for a gas station) and is very clean. For the majority of times, im ok paying slightly higher prices. But sometimes, like in the past week, the price difference is too steep (40c/gal above the 76 near hillsdale mall). read more

If it were not for the Safeway discount on the gas prices I would probably not have stopped here. But if price is no object I rate this Chevron as a clean, yet average station for a fill up and store. And on the last couple of aspects only the get three stars. read more

Their credit card machine barely works. Same with the Apple Pay. I'm sick of fighting with it. So now I fill up across the street. The price is exactly the same,the gas comes out faster, and their credit card machine works flawlessly. read more

It is a gas station, with gas pumps, window washing stuff, compressed air, water, and a small store. There is single bathroom stall inside, with a light selection of edibles and drinks. The ladies working behind the counter are always super friendly and talkative. Outside of that, it is a gas station. I went to this Chevron gas station on September 20,2013 at 1:45 pm and a Middle Eastern couple with a 1 yr old baby in a grey mini-van goes up to you with a red potable gas container and asks for gas. I thought they ran out of gas or something, but they didn't because I bought them $8 worth of gas, then they put it in their tank, then they ask another person for more gas and this continues on and on, until they have a full tank. SCAM ALERT. They are using their BABY so people will feel sorry for them and I fell for it. read more

I don't understand the 3 star rating. No one can do anything about the cost of gas. I choose Chevron Stations for the quality of the gas and the Safeway rewards I get per gallon, however, I split my time between Tahoe and Belmont, before I head off to home I always fill up with Premium, higher octane for the 80 mph, 205 mile drive I have back to Tahoe. ;-) Anyway, everytime I go there, the cashiers are as nice as they can be. I think for the Bay area where so many people are sooo snooty, especially on the peninsula, this place is a breath of fresh air. They are always very kind and friendly. One time I was cleaning my windows before a trip home and there was an outdoor attendant and he was handing me paper towels as I was cleaning, just nice, going out of the way for customer service, in a sea of stuck up people, Chevron in Belmont restores my faith in that kindness does still exist in Belmont! Came by here to do a fill up yesterday (02/24/2013) and was shocked at their prices! They were actually higher than the Chevron San Francisco station off of Van Ness. Call me crazy, but I would have thought the station in SF on a major road would have been much higher than a sleepy Belmont station. I think this location might want to do more research on their pricing... read more
