I've had my car serviced for various reasons: oil change, tire rotation, brake fluid replacement, transmission fluid replacement, new battery, etc. I first came to Jiffy Lube because I wasn't able to get an appointment at my regular mechanic's. These guys work fast, and do a thorough job every time. I come here for both my cars, and always get full synthetic oil changes. Little bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. They will windex your windows, but I prefer they don't, because they always leave streaks and I end up doing it myself after I leave. I'm sure they're doing a good job with the actual oil change though. I've had to check oil levels for random issues months after like check engine lights (unrelated to the oil levels, but you should always check loose gas cap and oil levels with check engine lights), and the oil level is always good, with clear oil indicating it was changed recently. They also always honor coupons with no questions or hassles. Sometimes there's a wait, but you'll typically be in and out in under 30 minutes. read more

I went to Jiffy Lube and they were open till 6 pm so I decided to get my car oil changed. The person was really nice in getting all the details and suggesting what oil should we put in the car. He also checked the other fluids as expected. It took around 30 mins for the whole thing. I'd have given a 5 star for that. But what eventually happened was something that I ended up giving 3 stars. I was expecting them to also clean the windows and interiors, when I asked if they are doing so he politely mentioned with the ongoing covid crisis they are not cleaning interiors. Though this is acceptable, the exterior windows still remain a mystery. On my invoice, the itemized billing mentioned the customer declined to get interiors and exteriors cleaned. I believe this should have been informed upfront or even at some point while changing the oil, shouldn't have waited till the customer asks. Update on 8/5. David emailed me back to give him a call. I called in and he was apologetic of the situation that the cleaning services are off was not posted or informed by the staff. He offered to pay for the cleaning service upto $30 if I can get the car cleaned and send him the receipt. Now I don't know if that would have been reimbursed or not, but I wouldn't do that to any business. Worst experience I've ever had at a retail establishment! The service person got in my car with hands drenched in oil covering my steering wheel, gear shift lever and key. When I got in to drive away it stunk so bad inside I started looking around when the sun glaring off my steering wheel caught my eye. Unbelievable man! So I go back and the kid acted like I was the problem and accused me of having oil on my hands. I also told him to get in the car and take a smell. He was standing outside and said "I cant smell anything". I said dumb ass, you cant smell it from outside of the car. On top of that he was a mess, covered in oil himself. So Sergio the manager comes out. I told him what the guy did and said take a look at what he did to my car, he's a dumb ass man. He refused to get in and told me to respect him. I asked for the number to their corporate headquarters so I could report the issue (and this is the first complaint I have ever made at any auto shop) and believe me as a former professional race car driver I've been in a lot of them. So I take my phone out to snap a picture of Sergio to get his name on his shirt; he grabs my phone from me and says "I don't like to be recorded" then proceeds to throw my phone through my drivers side window where it landed on the passenger side seat and bounced off the passenger side door panel and went under the seat. Sergio then said "GET THE F*** OUT OF HERE". So I called the cops and guess what , the area manager "mysteriously" shows up at the same time the cops pull in. The area manager that didn't exist 5 minutes before. Sergio and crew said there was no number too, showed up. They are such nice people and deserve more than 5 stars! I just had an oil change at another place the day before when I was driving and heard some noise underneath the car. I stopped and found a splash guard got loose and dragging. The other place touched it the day before so it's their fault, but they're miles away. The closest I could found was this Jiffy Lube, so I slowly pulled into their shop. They nicely helped me by removing the guard with no charge and even sent me off with big smiles! I have been screwed over by other Jiffy Lube's in the past (forgotten oil caps, mysterious lights always need replacing, not to mention the crazy upsells for stuff like "air filter fluid"), but I keep going back because they are fast, local, with upfront pricing. I got an oil change. By the time I went over 50 the next day, I discovered my undercar shield dropped and starting flapping in the wind. Here's the thing: I had installed and secured a brand new one just one month and three days earlier. [2003 VW Passat Undercar Shield - VW122810 - $32.98]. The guy did not fasten it correctly. As a result, the shield was damaged and another guy fixed it, but it required a zip tie. At least the guy did it without hesitation, without any issues; hence the two stars for making it right. (Though my recent purchase is damaged). What's strange to me is that it took me more than 10 minutes to fasten the thing on, so I am curious how he unfastened it, did an oil change, allegedly did the signature service, and refastened it in 10 minutes. This isn't a jiffy lube, it is an iffy lube. There's Rose Cafe Donuts across the street, there's Bill of Fare, and if I want to walk further down the street there's the shopping center with Mitsuwa and other cool shops. Hanging out in the lobby is not so bad either! After I had my delicious breakfast at Bill of Fare my car was ready! Quick and easy! Customer service was excellent! The mechanic mentioned the engine light was had to do with the transmission, so he suggested going to an auto repair shop. Umm... after three days the light magically disappeared. Psh. My wife insisted I go with her to make sure she did not get cheated into buying extra stuff. It was close as I almost got cheated. The rep told me I needed a fog light and a license plate light, no "I mean 2 fog lights and a license plate light." She said the front bulbs were $24.99 each. It sounded cheap for a Lexus anything, so I said "can you show me?" We walked out to the car and I stood in front of it. She turned on the lights and both fog lights were on, and so I declined replacing them. The license plate light was also working. She asked the guy who told her they were out and he did not turn around. Now there are a few on settings on a Lexus and one in particular on the fog lights, but people in a garage should be more thorough or I mean honest. read more

So far... my experience hasn't been very good. I do not feel confident that these workers have enough knowledge, skill, or education about cars to be changing oil. I'm getting my oil changed right now and one of the members/managers is telling the guy before me they lost the oil cap... how does that even happen? I'm nervous that they might forget the copper o ring around the drain plug if they are loosing caps! I'm praying that my car doesn't coincidently have an oil leak when I leave Update *** my car wouldn't start after taking my car here. Car kept running lean and would die at lights. I limped it home and the next morning it would crank but not turn over. I had to to pay and get it towed to a shop and missed work to fix this. The mechanic comes out and asked if I had the car worked on recently, which I responded I had. Turns out on ff the employees put on the air filter and didn't connect it to the intake.... My high mount stop light apparently went out and they offered to replace it, however there is no parts available nearby and Jose, the manager, told me to look online and bring the parts back to JL they will install for me for free. I had an Ok experience. I went there for an oil change and wanted to leave the car there and wait at the Starbucks across the street. We agreed on that but then they called me back after I arrived there. Somehow the agreement of me coming back in 1hr didn't really get through and they cancelled the oil change. So I went back and asked for the oil change again. It wasn't that big of a deal but would've been nicer if it had worked out. They changed the oil and noticed that on of the rear brake lights wasn't working anymore. So they changed it as well. I'd go there again because they are quite close to my home. read more

I'm updating my previous five star review to warn people to STAY AWAY. I had my second oil change here in the last thirty day's and there were major mistakes that have cost me major $$. While there it was clear there was a kerfuffle and something happened while changing my oil. They were getting water and had all of the techs around the vehicle; in hindsight I should have asked what was going on. What I didn't know happened is that OIL was spilled ALL OVER MY ENGINE. This caused my engine to misfire and dashboard warnings to appear. I just had the dealership diagnose and they said that the oil had destroyed pieces of my engine. It is a $700 fix and $160 in rental car fees after paying $100 for the oil change (also brought my own filter because they don't carry it). I'm paying for a rental and asked the dealership to fix immediately as we are a one car household. I called Jiffy Lube and they said being I had already started work, they weren't liable (EVEN WITH DOCUMENTATION.) They were incredibly rude on the phone, no empathy. I haven't had anyone touch my Volvo XC90 outside of them, and they are refusing to take liability. I had my oil changed at this location Jiffy Lube on 7/16/21. $53.68 total for a 6 cylinder engine. Just now had the oil changed again ( 3/18/22 ) at a service gas station ( not Jiffy Lube the 2nd time ). THE OIL DRAIN PLUG ON THE OIL PAN WAS LOOSE WHERE THE OIL WAS CHANGED THE LATEST TIME. That is what the mechanic at the service gas station told me when he changed the oil on 3/18/22. This means Jiffy Lube never tightened the oil drain plug properly. If the oil plug had loosened up enough for the oil to drain out, or worked it's way off completely because of the road vibration, I would have lost my entire engine, which means the car would have been a total loss!!! That is how close I came to losing my car, which is a family memory for me. Having heard only bad things about Jiffy Lube by rumor, like them not changing the oil when they raised the hood and appeared to do something, but did nothing and charge you anyway, I refused to believe this. I don't know if that is true, it may be, or not, but I Do Know that the "technician" at this Jiffy Lube, where his only job is to loosen a nut, change the oil, and replace the nut properly couldn't even do that correctly for my car. So, you think I am ever going back to Jiffy Lube? At any location? Give me a break! I'm not a moron. I may be many things, but one thing I am not is a repeat offender of stupidity. My basic oil change and wiper replacement took an astonishing 2 hours on a quiet Sunday afternoon. When finished, without warning, the final price was more than I was told in advance. With a great deal of difficulty, they figured out that the windshield wipers were more expensive than the "estimate" I had been told, and they hadn't told me about the windshield wiper installation fee. Because I didn't catch it until about 10 seconds after my credit card was processed, they weren't able to do anything for me. I usually go to Goodyear on Winchester and Hamilton, and they charge me $30 for an oil change and tire rotation. I tried this jiffy lube because it was near my house. Their oil change starts at $37 and DOES NOT include a tire rotation, that is an extra $30. So that is already double what I usually pay at Goodyear. They also tried to tell me that my air filter was dirty, but I had just replaced it a few months ago. My windshield wipers DO need replacing, but they were going to charge me ANOTHER $30 just to install them. (plus the $30 purchase of the wipers) So we are now looking at $100+ when I just came in for a $30 service. I told them no new windshield wipers, and no air filter, so my total came out to $60 something. Way too much for just an oil change and tire rotation. I've had my car for 3 years and have paid $30 every time at Goodyear. I also have a silicone, dust repellant key cover on my car key that they somehow managed to get filthy, and didn't offer to clean it for me until I asked. Rude, expensive, and frustrating. read more

Excellent customer service. I'm a single mommy with little budget and this place is great. They recommend lots of things but they don't force you to buy things you don't need like in other places. Also they honor coupons on oil change and parts that you may need. Not like some places where is one or the other. I've been coming here for 3 yrs and its been consistent every time. They somehow managed to break off the oil dipstick in the little tube into which it normally resides in the engine. That was bad enough, but it was the unprofessional management of everything else that leads me to this 1 star review. It was a Saturday, and the vehicle had been in the service bay for a good 35 minutes, for a service that usually takes 15 or 20 minutes. I finally walked out to find out what the delay was all about, at which point I was informed about the error. Why no one had bothered to come in to inform me that this had happened and there was going to be a delay was annoying, but not a huge deal. The manager on duty said he would have the dipstick repaired the following week at another Jiffy Lube location free of charge. I gave him my phone number and he said he would call on Monday once they had a new dipstick. No call ever came. I returned to the shop the following weekend. The manager that "helped" me the prior weekend was not on duty, and no one else seemed interested or capable of doing anything, so I left. I called the Jiffy Lube on Camden Ave in San Jose (the one near Hillsdale), and explained my situation. They had no responsibility to fix this, but the guy there apologized for the bad experience, spoke to his manager to get approval to do the work, ordered the part, scheduled time for the repair, and implemented the fix at no cost to me. Now THAT was amazing customer service. Bottom line: avoid this Saratoga Ave shop, but I highly recommend the Jiffy on Camden Ave @ Hillsdale. read more

Been going to this jiffy lube for over 3 years with both my cars. Today will be my last visit at your location. 1. Upon requesting a normal oil change.. I get up sold on all the services (which is normal) I let them know I'm not interested. I'm then told if I want to destroy my car I'm doing a good job at it? 2. My coupon is 2 weeks expired (been traveling so not putting a ton of miles on my car). I'm told he won't take it. I let him know I've done it before... I don't want to go online and get a new one. I'm told "my hands are tied on this". 5 minutes after using google I find a new coupon 3. After this awkward conversation he goes out to the garage and gives some kind of communication and they immediately close my car and say I'm ready. They didn't vacuum my car... No new oil sticker.
