There are no prices on anything in the store, so when you get up to the register they can charge whatever they want. I purchased a pack of sahale cashews and she charged me $5.99! Way overpriced! Bathrooms are small but clean.

So its a typical Chevron. Multiple pumps, prices in line with the remote nature of the locations, clean. However, the staff was super friendly, the it was more than your typical convenience store. While it was not huge it literally had an impressive selection of snacks, more craft chips than you can shake a stick at, bait, fishing gear etc. While the gas was expensive, it was in line with the other stations and about 100 yards from my hotel.

    $10.47 for this????

If you stop here for a snack, better bring extra cash. I stopped in on the Sunday after Thanksgiving (I know...crazy day to travel...) because I was hungry. Decided to just grab a snack and get back on the road. I was excited that they had my favorite candy bar, so I grabbed two for the road, plus a smallish bag of Bugles. $10.47 later I walked out the door in shock. $2.99 for a regular-sized candy bar? $4.79 for a small bag of chips? That's insane! To make it worse, there were no prices on the shelf, so you just assume everything is relatively comparable to other mini markets/gas stations. Nope! I've stopped here off and on for years and never had a problem with slightly higher prices, but that is ridiculous. I probably won't stop again for snacks. On the super-positive side, they have a great spot to take a picture of Mt. Whitney and their gas is only a little more expensive than in Lone Pine itself or other small towns along the drive from SoCal to Mammoth (why I gave it 2 stars), but I was shocked at the huge increase in price of snacks.

I just paid $4.89 for a 12oz Diet Dr. Pepper. Oh, and if you order avacado for your sandwich at Jersey Mikes.... $3.99. Such a rip off!
