All of them looked like great cars at first glance. John made the buying process very easy and clear. He also set the car aside for me (taking up valuable space on the lot) after I bought it since I couldn't take it home right away. His price was fair for the vehicle, which was in amazing shape for an 8-year old car. Select Auto had also put brand new tires and front brake pads on the car; it seemed like they really wanted to get their cars into the very best shape before selling them. They quoted me $550-$650 for the timing belt + water pump, with the caveat that because the belt went while we were moving we might also need a valve job, which would be $900. The valves did end up needing doing, and we left for $1,450. But not only did they do the belt / pump / valves for the lower end of their estimate, they also replaced all the plugs and did a mini tune up. No charge. And then we realized a day later that there was a little sticker in the upper corner of our windshield - they'd snuck in an oil change as well. They even put the higher mileage stuff in there for us. So cool. Great service, and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Yeah there was the little things like they forgot their tools in my cars forgetting to take them out. I'd gone out of my way to return the tools. But not this time! This time they forgot to use the tools and the poor service they did on my car almost killed me and others on the road. John's Brothers has gotten complacent with their service! Has there been any recent posts with good reviews? They forgot to put the nuts back on the rear wheel. Drove off got to Ridge Pike after paying for the service got about 3 miles down the road and the rear wheel went flying off the car, the car slammed down to the street, damaged the rotor, brakes, wheel and tire and scared the living shit out of me. The wheel flew down the road about 100 ft and just missed oncoming car and the tire tracked up onto the curb and sidewalk in front of a parking lot. Close call. Ask about this next time you use these guys. Ask them if they remembered if they tightened the nuts in the wheels!

Started going there when I had gotten estimates for work on an old car that were in the 800-1200 range which I know enough about cars to know was exorbitant for what was needed. So I didn't do it then.. but the car died on the highway a week or two later ... the tow driver suggested this place, I shrugged and said OK. They called me a couple days later ... total bill 250.. Well my pickup had a sheaf of work I expected to be in the thousands... took it here to NE pronto, and the bill was just over 1200. Always prices I find reasonable or better, and good work. Sometimes as said slow to get in or getting parts, but for good work at honest prices I'm happy to deal with it.
