I have been to a few alignmemt places though the years. I have one alignmemt shop I usually go to. I'm always open to try new places especially if good friend's recommend them. Robert Choo at Chewerks did an alignment on my 1992 Nissan Sentra SER and was very meticulous about getting my car just right. Knowing I have owned my car for 27 years, he was very careful and professional about the whole experience. I no longer have the torque/veer issue I had when high revving and shifting and car drivers straight. He also asked how I wanted my car set up and what I used it for so I advised him. We agreed to set it up for "aggressive street use" with zero toe, 2.6* front camber and 2* camber in the rear. He also gave a little less rear toe to give a little more over steer for those "agressive" street cornering. Overall, very happy! Every time I go to Robert for an alignment and corner balance he never ceases to impress me with his knowledge and understanding of car suspension and alignment tuning. I usually arrive early for my appointments which has the side benefit of getting to see some of the amazing cars his customers entrust with him- I've seen brand new 991 GT3 RS's on his rack, rare e30 M3's, big ZL1 1LE's, a variety of dedicated racecars, and even the odd formula car. Every time I've gone to Chewerks I've been extremely happy with Robert's work as he is always professional and patient as I explain what I want and/or how the car felt. I take both my street cars as well as my racecars to Robert as I know his proficiency in setting up my cars for their intended use is top notch and I always leave happy. I've also seen Robert do this with his other customers after he's finished my car (normally appointments are back to back), in which he starts by asking the customer about their intended use and needs for their car (street, track, spirited driving, priorities of tire wear or optimal grip, preferences of oversteer/understeer, etc), it amazes me that he is able to take this information and dial it in for the perfect camber/toe/caster alignment on ANY car. I attribute much of what I consider my personal success at the track to Robert's suspension and alignment setup as well as his input on which modifications would work best for me and my car. He Didnt reset the steering angle sensor on my car so it still pulls after alignment. Turned off ESC and mostly stopped pulling. So its pretty obvious what he did wrong. He looked perplexed as to why the car was pulling after his alignment. He wont ever do a proper alignment on your electric steering unless he starts learning new things. A lot of independent mechanics are outdated knowledge and stuck in their ways. I saw him aligning a honda civic type R after my car....pretty sure he did that wrong too, it should have electric steering. read more

I came into Chewerks a few weeks ago to get an alignment and rear camber adjustment on my Tesla and I am very satisfied with the work and customer service I received. When I got to the shop, Robert (owner) was in the middle of a job, but he didn't hesitate to acknowledge me right away and let me know that he would be right with me. Some shops will let you sit there for 5-10 minutes until they're ready to talk to you. Forget the fact that you had an appointment. I don't require much as a customer, but that is a must for me. Alignments! Go to this man for your alignments! I called Rob inquiring about an alignment after a friends recommendation. I called before going in so he could schedule me in when he was open. This made the process very efficient and meant there was no wasted time just sitting around waiting for others. I got there at my appointment time and the last appointment had just ended so he was ready to roll. I aligned my track car here the first time and he was very knowledgeable on the specs and was able to answer any questions I had, explain the process when I asked, and made suggestions based on my needs and preferences for the car. I came back in my regular daily driver and again I was in and out quick. He set the settings to factory and he was always professional and a nice guy to chat with. Let me start off by saying when he takes you in , he makes it seem like he's using your weight to align the car properly JUST FOR YOU. But I quickly realized that he don't don't got other people to help him haha ! It's all good . I installed camber arms and toe bolts for my 370z a and I knew right away that my alignment was going to be off after the install. Before the alignment the car felt unpredictable and i could feel the rear swaying whenever id go over harsh bumps. After the alignment robert let me go for a test drive to make sure my steering wheel was straight and I could tell right away that the car felt a lot better after the alignment. Two months later, I noticed my steering wheel was very slightly off center. I hit up robert and he took me in right away on short notice to fix my steering wheel free of charge! Ive taken my lowered 93 300zx to several standard alignment shops and they stated they've never even seen the aftermarket camber parts I have on my z.
