I typically get the "ultimate" which used to be like $35 and now it's $60. It gets run through the wash and they wipe it all down and then vacuum and wipe everything on the inside. It's always good enough work but sometimes I do leave extra happy with it. Went today around 1pm and I would not go when they're so busy again! I typically go during a week/work day and it's not busy. I was there for an hour and a half today. But there were a lot of cars so I knew there would be a wait when I chose to still go in. The service is always great though - everyone greets you and is friendly and even when leaving, people are always saying have a great day. Variety of seating inside and outside. I got my oil change done, simple as that. The problem came with the extras... they tested the battery, and for some reason it came back as "low, needs replacement" (I'll explain the dubiousness in a sec). They wanted to charge me $350 for an AGM battery, even tried to upsell on it. Side note: granted I arrived at the tail end of their day, but they also didn't check transmission fluid. Something to consider. Needless to say, didn't take the first offer presented, as I went to a local parking lot and called AAA, have them do a remote battery service for a second opinion. And guess what they found? The battery was operating normally. Far and away from the results shown to me on the valvoline worker's iPad. Which indicates that someone was lying. Out of the blue, this seems an isolated incident, a one in a million chance; but I have it on good word from a local FB group that this is happening with other folks as well.. not with batteries necessarily, but crucial items such as transmission fluid supposedly very low, when in fact it was their oil. Out of respect for going there for years, I will not say names... but I must affirm that this is the one time any type of doubt is put in place for this establishment. And such doubt (not to mention potential for flat-out lying to the customer, all for the sake of making extra at the end of the day) is something I simply cannot stand by. Please, beware: it is genuinely nice to go here for the convenience... but it's a shame that I feel I almost always need a second opinion to do any kind of service done for my vehicle. If the point of Valvoline is to be a reliable/trustworthy one-stop shop for any quick service... in terms of trustworthiness and reliability, they are failing here. Thankfully, while we were on our way to buy the part, Mr. Veraj called us to let us know we actually only needed a simple connector which cost us less than $25 instead. He then lowered the cost of his labor he'd quoted since it would be a simpler fix as well. He was very friendly, helpful and fair. We would definitely recommend him to friends and family. The shop is also conveniently located just a block from downtown Fullerton. Lots of parking and space for the tow truck to drop off a vehicle.

Firestone Brake Service Review…read more I recently had my vehicle serviced at the Firestone location on Imperial Highway in Brea, California, where I had a complete brake job performed on all four wheels. Unfortunately, just a few days after the service, my wife noticed a rattling noise coming from the front-left wheel. I brought the vehicle back to Firestone to have it inspected, and the technicians determined that a bolt was missing from one of the brake calipers on the front-left side. This was the source of the rattling and, in my opinion, represents a serious safety concern. Additionally, the technicians discovered that the lower front-end cover had not been properly bolted back into place and was hanging underneath the vehicle. For work involving a vehicle's braking system, I expect a much higher level of attention to detail and quality control. Having a missing caliper bolt and an unsecured underbody cover after a brake service is unacceptable and could have potentially resulted in a dangerous situation. I would strongly encourage anyone having work done here to carefully inspect their vehicle and double-check that everything has been properly secured before leaving the shop. While the issue was eventually identified, the quality of the initial work was concerning, particularly given that it involved a critical safety component of the vehicle.

This has left me questioning whether my original tire concerns were properly addressed and whether everything that was done to my vehicle was clearly explained to me. She was told that she needed new tires, but when she went elsewhere for a second opinion, she was told her tire could still be repaired. I can't speak to the shop's intentions, and I don't want to make accusations I can't substantiate. I can only speak to my experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling that the process was not as transparent as it should have been, and after having time to reflect on it, I don't feel comfortable returning. I would recommend getting a second opinion and making sure every charge and recommended service is clearly explained before authorizing the work.

Earlier in the year I had an issue where my car started to overheat as I left the shop and they came to my home and brought coolant and were able to drive it back to the shop and diagnose the issue and fix it. They were willing to reimburse me if I had to get a rental car, but luckily were able to figure out the cause that same day. Jose is always very helpful and easy to talk to. He's dropped me off home a couple of times from the shop. Gabriel is very direct and transparent about pricing. They are very on top of what they do. I recently had them replace the ball joints on my vehicle and they got my vehicle back to me during the time they quoted me.
