Came for the first time with a group of friends. It's so relaxing, lively, and welcoming. The owner is very kind. Nice cigar and drink options. They also have a happy hour. Live music is also on select days. The seating options are comfortable. This is a nice option to relax and unwind from the day. I'd definitely come back.

The ambiance is truly second to none. The staff is amazing. The selection is superb. Of course I had to get a brand specific stogie. Smoked a Grand Cathedral POPE. A great cigar and worth every penny of not more. Do your self a favor as a cigar enthusiast. Make a trip to Tampa Bay and come here!

It's big without feeling cold. Loud without being chaotic. The music? Think 70s and 80s, just loud enough to set the mood, but not so loud you're shouting over "Free Bird" like it's last call at a dive bar. You can actually have a conversation here. That alone is worth something. The bar is fully loaded, no shortcuts. Solid whiskey lineup, cocktails done right, and a humidor that feels like it goes on forever. Whether you know cigars or just want to look like you do, you're covered. But here's the part most places miss... The people. Staff that actually wants you there. They're dialed in, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and they treat you like a regular even if it's your first time walking through the door. And the crowd? Same vibe. Friendly, relaxed, no ego. It's not about the cigars. It's about the people. And somehow, this place gets both right

While I expect there to be smoke in a cigar lounge, the air quality here has become completely intolerable when there's more than a few people inside. The smoke heavily lingers, making it difficult to breathe and causing your eyes burn. It's impossible to stay for any length of time. Leaving the doors open helps a little with airflow, but that's not an solution with the heat in FL. It is a shame to see a great place steadily decline due to poor facility maintenance. I know I am not the only regular who feels this way. Casa de Montecristo needs to invest in a modern ventilation system before more loyal customers leave for better-ventilated lounges in the city. If the goal is to keep customers coming back, the environment needs to be comfortable enough to actually stay and enjoy the experience.

Their willingness to hear the concerns and grumbles of their patrons--and more importantly, to act on them--demonstrates a true commitment to providing an exceptional experience. A special thank you to Jeff, the manager, for taking the feedback seriously and implementing a solution that has made the lounge much more comfortable for everyone. It's refreshing to see a business that not only values its customers' opinions but also follows through with positive change. We truly appreciate being heard. Thank you, Jeff and the entire Casa Montecristo team, for your responsiveness and dedication to your patrons. Well done!

It was happenstance that I stumbled upon JR Cigar Outlet (was actually on Busch Boulevard after stopping at Level Up Cigar Lounge to find that it was closed). Sitting off Busch Boulevard (580) and being easily accessible from both west and eastbound directions just after/before the railroad track crossing, JR Cigar is conveniently situated close to the I-275-Florida-Nebraska-trio throughways. Honestly, I feel that it's a great location for those living just north of Tampa and the USF-area. I was initially discouraged by the word "Outlet" in its name (implying that it was more of a retail venue as opposed to a sit-in spot) since I was looking more for a lounge to sit and enjoy a cigar, but was happily mistaken after discovering that JR Cigar is more than that. I came on a Saturday evening to find plenty of parking. There are two rows - one that is right up against the establishment with the other row backed up to the sidewalk of the Busch Boulevard. Upon walking in, I was politely and warmly welcomed by Julio. It is notable that I did not get blasted by the usually strong smell and smoke of cigars as I entered (yes - kind of a weird ask for a cigar lounge and perhaps it was due to the fairly tame crowd), but I could also assume that JR Cigar has a pretty outstanding ventilation system. The setup of the main floor offers a natural flow, with counter seating that wraps around a bar at the center of the venue. There are a variety of lounge chairs and sofas to either side of the bar which are then complimented with TVs, creating smaller grouped areas. Immediately to the left as you enter, you will easily be able to distinguish the cigar room itself with the entirely see through glass panes and windows. It was nice to see that this was its own separate humidor room as opposed to having the cigars sit in the open lounge area like Corona Cigar Company. There is definitely an active management system that is maintaining the appropriate levels of climate to ensure the quality of the products within. There is a vast selection of cigars that are neatly organized and maintained. Additionally, the pricing of the selections is incredibly competitive (arguably some of the best prices I've seen), with clearly marked sales as well as promotions in sections both in the humidor room and the open lounge areas. The vibe was entirely chill and friendly at JR Cigar. It seemed that most, if not all, of the patrons there were established clients. Everyone seemed to be super friendly and inviting. Julio and his team were incredibly wonderful, serving beverages and providing knowledge and advice when it comes to picking out a cigar. Overall, JR Cigar is a great hang out spot if you're looking to simply enjoy a cigar or if you're seeking some social interaction and conversation. I highly recommend to anyone that is looking to try a cigar or those experienced veterans!
