We ate in here last night for the first time. I got take away once a long long time ago, like 5-6…read moreyears or so. It is a divey bar/Irish pub. There was music playing the whole time but not loud at all - loud enough you could hear it but it didn't impede upon your conversations in the slightest. And by the way the music they had playing last night (Tuesday Feb 10 2026) was EXCELLENT!! I felt like I was at a bar from my youth with that soundtrack. We started with 2 appetizers, pub pretzels and the Celtic queso dip. The pretzels came with honey mustard and some of the queso. The Celtic queso has tortillas and what appeared to be house made potato chips. Both were very good! The 2 adults had some beer on tap. A Yeungling and a 201 Hoplar. Kid (well he is 21 but doesn't drink) had a coke. Entrees were a smash burger with fries, a Buffalo chicken sliders with onion rings, and a shepherds pie with mashed potatoes and gravy and okra. Everything was very good! Often fried things are either over or under done and come out not great however whoever was working the fryer was on it because the onion didn't pull out of the rings when you bit it and the okra was still nice inside the breading. Excellent waitress who kept checking on us and nice environment. What's not to like!! Definitely will return.

The food was hot, flavorful, and exactly what you'd expect from a neighborhood pub. The drinks were well-made, reasonably priced, and definitely one of the highlights of the visit. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food and beverages. Despite it being a Sunday night on a holiday weekend with only a couple of tables occupied, the bartenders seemed overwhelmed and scattered. Service was extremely slow, from placing orders to receiving drinks and food. There appeared to be plenty of staff behind the bar, but organization and attentiveness were lacking. Overall, the food and drinks saved the experience, but the service needs improvement. With better coordination and customer attention, this could easily be a top-notch pub experience. I'd return for the food and cocktails, but hope to see a much smoother service experience next time.

The sandwich is too messy to eat so make sure you get a fork. Husband ordered the beef brisket plate so he had a side of coleslaw and a side of baked beans. The baked beans were very reminiscent of bushes baked beans and the coleslaw is mayonnaise based and fantastic. The bad- the floor is super sticky and really needs a good scrubbing! Also, there was a pretty loud TV that had a comedian on that was pretty raunchy, dropping F bombs and stuff. Once a family came in I believe the mom asked them to turn it down, They changed the channel to Sanford and sons (love that show). Anyway, maybe they weren't aware. Service people were super friendly and they do a brisk business here. We'd come back if we were locals. About $27 for my sandwich (7.99) and hubs plate (17.99) with two waters.

The sauce was a little spicy and the rib tips were the perfect size to feel like it's more than enough. I made sure to save some to bring back to Houston. This was through delivery but it was packed well and no leaking with the sauces and sides of Mac and cheese which was ok and bbq baked beans which I would def get again. The smoked sausage had the slaw and toasted bun. I was really hoping I didn't leave with tasting some good bbq and glad I came across Big Bill's.

I also had a side of onion rings but finished them while they were hot, and I forgot to get a picture! I also had their sweet tea and it's consistently delicious! Customer Service: The cashiers were down to earth and patient with taking my order for myself and other family members. Ambiance: It is a down-home bbq spot. Nothing super fancy here. This is a spot known for the food, not necessarily decor and flare. Definitely a spot to be casual in.

That was just the worst experience in my life from a place that you can tell the people that you are a first time customer and you still get the treatment like that and didn't even give a thank you when she gave me my food. It's just ridiculous a lot of Black people are like this towards one another. It's just sad.
