We went for breakfast and was seated immediately. The restaurant decor was very inviting and precautions taken for COVID. I had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. It was cooked perfectly with runny yolks and fresh salmon. I was able to eat the entire dish with a fork and not have to saw through the english muffin with a knife. My partner had the bread pudding french toast with strawberries and Nutella. It was delicious! The service deserves 5 stars for keeping my coffee warm and being attentive. Even the adjacent table had a complaint (cook in their burger was off), which I didn't let influence my judgement. The cook on my duck confit was definitely too rare, though I can fix that (took it home), and was seriously too chewy to swallow. Sea bass lacked seasoning, and I could go on... We go here several times a month for brunch. It is a very nice spot to take your lady friend. There is sidewalk sitting which is pretty nice if the weather holds up. I'm giving 3 stars because the food and baked goods were really good. I went to visit for my very first time on Christmas Eve. I had the chorizo tacos those were really good!! Food was hot and good. I think the cook actually delivered my food. My waiter was talking with his friends up at the front. My coffee came out tasted cold and bitter like it had been sitting out for a while. After we checked out we went over to order from the bakery because we had heard such great things about it. I stood there for a good 10 plus minutes while the workers talked amongst themselves. I had to say "Hello" hi can I get ect.. I was not even greeted with hi how may I help you? The food is really good and baked goods were delicious but the service can make all the difference in a place to me. It can really make or break a place. They try so hard.... but they missed. Very poor service. As soon as we walked in, I said they were trying to be a little to "poshy". The guy that greeted and seated us touched my wife's shoulder and later mine when he was apologizing. First off, not ok, don't touch me. Then the waiter didn't speak english well enough to understand my order of a chicken sandwich, and brought me a lobster cheese sandwich? You know how sometimes you say a word over and over and over, and you start to realize how it could be heard differently. But not sure how those two got mixed up. Waited 10 minutes before we could flag down someone to tell them that wasn't what I order. My wife ate her dinner while I waited, and it came out when she was done with her food. Are my food, waited another 10 minutes or so before we could ask for our check. They ran the check and brought it back to sign and they charged us for the more expensive sandwich that we didn't order. Flagged down the same guy that sat us and told him and he said "I'll fix it and give you 10% off" like he doing us a favor. Well take more order right, make the right order, and have more prompt service and keep your 10%. I would rather pay you the 10% and have a pleasant experience. When did you customer service go so far downhill that it's my fault you guys can't get your stuff together?? When waiting for the guy to fix the check I saw him go to another table and try to schmooze them while we are waiting. He goes outside of eye sight and comes back to the table in a few minutes and said he didn't know how to fix it. Asked us to come with him to try to fix it, offered to give us free deserts, NO fix the check and give me the money back. He said you guys will come back right, come back and see me and we will take care of you. Well you stole $8 from me and then fought me to keep it. (The price of my sandwich that I ordered was $16, and they charged me for the $24 sandwich (don't hold me to the exact numbers but it was an 8 difference)). Out of frustration, left the rest of our gift card balance on the table and walked out. And to his suggestion and management, "no we will not be coming back". Glad you really needed the extra $8. Hopefully with that extra money you can learn some customer service. read more

Chez Fabien has been our go to place for breakfast for quite some time. We often talked about trying dinner there, since breakfast is so good, we were hoping that dinner would be equally good. So, last Sunday evening we made reservations at 7:15 for three. It was our daughter's belated birthday dinner. We walked in and noticed that there were not many customers....somewhat concerning. We sat down and our waiter greeted us and asked if we wanted anything to drink. Well, that was a great start as he recommend some great wine to start the evening. We then ordered an appetizer, Brie with mushrooms. It was also great. We then started to think about what to have for dinner. We asked several questions of our waiter, and he was free with information and suggestions. We ordered two orders of their scallops, and our daughter order the Melted Cheese sandwich with Lobster that came with a cup of Lobster Bisque. What can I say....EVERYTHING was great. The scallops were the sweetest and perfectly prepared as we've ever had. The Cheese and Lobster was very very tasty! We finished it off with wonderful deserts and on top of it all they gave our daughter a great piece of Birthday Cake. Bottom line, wonderful food, equal or better then what we get for breakfast. Great french inspired cooking/food. We will be back for dinner again soon. The manager stopped by more than once to check on us. Obviously they care what their customers think and make sure everything is prepared well and to their high standards. PS, we were there again for breakfast his AM. Everything looks so appetizing until you taste it. There is no flavor in any of the food. The kids pancakes taste like McDonalds pancakes(which may be a bit better.) The tomato soup was a basil leaf in it but tasted no basil in the actual soup. The chips had no flavor and a bit stale. The only 5 star item was the cucumber mojito. The mimosa was made with the wrong type of sparkling white, it tasted like rubbing alcohol half way through so I didn't even finish it...it was more expensive than three dishes we go (which would be fine if it was worth it.) My avocado toast was good only because I doused it in tobasco (flavor.) My husband had the original eggs Benedict and it had no flavor. The hollandaise sauce was horrible. He has honestly been waiting to find a spot that has a good eggs Benedict for three years now. His breakfast potatoes were under fried but over steamed so a bit mushy. For $80 we just wanted a good family meal since we eat out every couple of months. So disappointed especially after the reviews. And no they weren't very busy. They sat us a bit away from the restaurant by a shop next door at which point they completely forgot about our existence. I went in last week to get something quick to eat before I went to work. I asked to sit and the bar and got seated quickly. There had to be 4-5 guys working behind the bar. I still waited a good five minutes before someone even talked to me. It wasn't busy, I felt ignored. A man came up to me and asked if I would like water. I said yes. I never saw him again. A young man wearing blue food handler gloves walks over after he sees me sitting there for a while and asks if I would like something to drink. I said water and asked to see the menu. He had been cutting citrus for the drinks and looked pretty busy. He didn't remove his gloves, grabbed a drink and food menu then proceeded to give me a glass of water cupping the rim of the glass with his dirty gloves. When I placed my order he walked to the POS system and typed my order in with the gloves still on. I work in the food industry and this is not acceptable. I started to watch him further because I couldn't believe what I was seeing. He went to the main dining room to talk with some servers. He patted them on the back with his gloves still on, came back to the bar area and continued to work. I saw him touch his hair twice with the same gloves and never changed them the entire time I was there.My food came out and I took a couple bites but couldn't finish it because I was so grossed out. If that's what happens behind the bar in front of customers I don't want to know what happens in the kitchen. So my husband surprised me on a random Saturday and brought me here. We had a great experience! Would love to come back for brunch. We started off with the escargot and the shrimp and calamari. Both were great, the puff pastry on top of the escargot really added something. The calamari and shrimp were fried to perfection. I got the sea bass with couscous and my husband got the shrimp and chorizo grits. My fish was cooked perfectly and the couscous was buttery and delicious. The shrimp and grits had a great flavor as well. On the side we got brussel sprouts and bacon macaroni and cheese. The brussel sprouts were nice and crispy and had a thai chili sauce on them which complimented them nicely and the mac and cheese was decadent and rich. I also got an aperol spritz which I enjoyed and my husband got a Miller lite bottle which he said was well priced at $4. Which considering it being a nicer restaurant was a good price. Most of the group was fine with their meal. I asked for lobster bisque and got tomato bisque . So he returned it for another tasted like tomato bisque. Which I can not eat for dietary restrictions. Another at our table had lobster bisque which was truly lobster bisque and tasted nothing like mine. The entire dinner our waiter never refilled our water . We both chose the Lobster grilled cheese and Lobster Bisque. UNBELIEVABLY tasty!!! The very light toasted sandwich was filled with melted cheese and seafood!!! The bisque was one of the best ever, loaded in flavor. It was so filling we both took 1/2 sandwich home! I also had a very delicious side salad with oranges, strawberries, sweet pecans and more with a maple vinaigrette! Bread Pudding was our chosen dessert that came with dramatic fireworks! Called this restaurant in advance to ensure that they could accommodate our party of 8 adults, 1 child, & 3 infants. I was told that they don't take reservations on the weekend but could accommodate our party, & we shouldn't have a problem being seated at 9:00 a.m. When we arrived at the restaurant I told the hostess that I was the person that called earlier. She went to the back of the restaurant then came back to tell me that they couldn't seat all of us together, they would have to split up our party and we would have to wait to be seated about 45 minutes. We had family that were catching a flight that morning and we couldn't wait (this my initial phone call to ask about accommodating our party). This is a training opportunity for the staff, if you can't seat a large party just say so, we wouldn't have wasted our time, and had to make a last minute adjustment in order to have breakfast together.
