We came here early in January following their re-opening... the reason was that everything on their menu was 50% off. To be honest, i don't know if it would be worth it otherwise. We ended up getting the bacon wrapped shrimp, shrimp mango ceviche and steak and chicken fajitas. Even after the 50% off, i think everything was about 30 bucks.... again its a killer deal, but for 60 bucks (regular price) i don't know if it would be worth it. Everything was great, i wish for the ceviche they provided a bit more. The steak and chicken fajitas came out sizzling and with a plate of rice/beans and some tortillas. We sat inside, since it was cold, but they also have a patio. The inside seating is fairly small, with a couple of tables and a bar towards the end. There's also a glass wall that separates the dining room from the kitchen. I can see this place being popular during summer as it overlooks the grapevine lake. Service was great. read more

Big Daddy's I can't wait to see you again soon!! After reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical so I decided to take one for the team and try this place out during the re-opening January 2026. I'm so glad I stopped in. It was a cold day and we sat outside, and they turned on the outdoor heaters for us. What a beautiful view!!! They have tvs outside and they play country music on the patio. I even saw a sign that said they have bands on certain days. I got the taco salad with ground beef and it was very tasty. I did the dressing on the side. I also had some of my daughter's burger. I am not a fan of char-broiled, but my daughter didn't leave 1 crumb on the plate. We also like the fries and ranch. They also have a good margarita, there is one on the menu that's tasty but strong. They are also serving fajitas on a smoking hot plate. This is a new change for the restaurant I hear, and the fajitas were tasty! Service: We had a hard working waitress named Bella, she had to leave and go to her second job, and then we got Andy! They both took care of us. Andy was such a delight; very cool, kind and attentive. If I go back I will ask for one of these gals!! Things to consider: The road to get to Big Daddy's has a lot of twists and turns so pay attention on the drive. The views are beautiful so in the Spring/Summer I would assume there will be a wait. Came here for a little late afternoon Friday drinking. The chips and queso were delicious, as well as the fried pickles. The drinks were well made. We came for Bad Santa's Pop Up Bar and reserved a bubble for 1pm. When you first arrive to park you get to view the beautiful Grapevine Lake. We arrived early so we were able to really take it all in and get a few good pictures. Located in the Scott's Landing Marina, towards the back the cantina has everything festively decorated to get you in the Christmas spirit. Once you arrive you're welcomed with drinks that come with the reservation and menus. Everything on the menu is Christmas themed and although a limited menu they did not limit the flavors. EVERYTHING we order was GOOD!!! Staff is super sweet. Bad Santa is an ass but totally hilarious and fun (he truly plays his role well). We definitely recommend this experience but possibly much better during the night with the Christmas lights but then you'd miss the view of the lake so it really depends on what you're looking for. What a great pop-up experience! We were a little concerned that the 1.5-hour time limit wouldn't be enough, but it ended up being perfect. From the moment we arrived, the festive décor and friendly staff set the mood. We were greeted with our holiday cocktail (so good!). The menu is limited for the pop-up, but the flavor certainly isn't! We ordered the sliders and split the burger--both were incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. We left stuffed! I was just told about this hidden gem, and had to check it out. It's not obvious that there is a restaurant until you walk towards the dock. I love that they have open seating. With the weather being nice, it's the perfect time to enjoy the nice, large outdoor patio with a view of the lake. Parking was very easy to find since they have a huge lot. The service could be a little bit better. We had empty water cups, but the server didn't notice to refill those for us. I had the shrimp street tacos that come with beans and rice. I'm leaving 3 stars this time because there is some room for improvement with the food quality. The $18 jalapeno burger barely had any jalapenos on it and the $16 chicken bacon avocado sandwich only had 3 little slivers of avocado. We ordered double spicy margaritas and they brought us the drink with a shot on the side and they charged an extra $10 for a double so our "double margaritas" were $22 each. We have been there a number of times and each time keeps getting better. Daddy's now has a very nice stage and awesome sound system and is featuring some of the top bands in the area. You can check out the event calendar on their website. We went to see Little Queen this last Saturday night and they were totally amazing. The service is good. The food is good. The drinks are good and the jello shots later in the evening are also quite nice. Came here for the Bad Santa's Boathouse Christmas popup and it was so fun! We got great welcome drinks, and the food and drink menu was very festive and fun! The smash burger and wings both had different holiday themed sauces and I wish they weren't just seasonal items! It was also a beautiful day to sit out by the water and watch the birds and boats. I was with my boyfriend and we had been out on the boat this afternoon, we decided to get a drink and a bite to eat so we thought this would be the perfect place. We sat down and nobody came to greet us. We were ignored by everyone. After, 15-20 minutes of being ignored we decided to leave. As a server, this was completely unacceptable. I expect better service from an establishment. I've been here before at 11 am and it was slow and had decent service, decided it would be good to come back. I know it gets busier, it wasn't. I ordered the Chicken tenders....no kidding and I still can not believe what was served...it was 6 teeny oblonged shaped very flat 1/4" pieces of chicken between 1 1/2" long and 2 1/2" long...served on a bunch of fries. $14.00 .... It was not battered it appeared to be the same as what you get in the grocery store freezer section covered with the fine flour granules (you could see the chicken through it) like what you buy for toddlers...only those are thicker. This was yesterday and today and last night after returning home....I am still dumb founded. However, we loved the atmosphere sitting on the deck while watching fish and turtles below. Great spot on Lake Grapevine! I had the bacon-wrapped shrimp that comes with chipotle honey sauce and a Bloody Mary--both were excellent.
