I went to The Henley with high expectations based on my past dining experiences with Executive Chef Patrick McElroy, which had always been strong. During my visit in February, I ordered two petite filets, both medium rare. Unfortunately, they came out overly charred to the point of being crunchy and burnt. It was a clear miss on execution, especially for a steakhouse-level dish. To be fair, the waitstaff and bartenders were excellent--attentive, professional, and did their job well. After initially not receiving a response, I was later contacted by Food & Beverage Manager DeLance Woods. He handled the situation professionally, was polite, and took ownership in a way that reflects well on both the restaurant and the Hilton brand. I was staying at the Hilton and wandered into this restaurant looking for a quick bite, fully expecting something fine and forgettable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead, I walked into a space that was actually really cool. The first thing you notice is this long, dramatic "O"-shaped bar with tons of seating, which immediately made me feel like I needed to sit there... so naturally, I did.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As a creature of habit, I plopped myself belly-up to the bar and locked eyes with what can only be described as the star of the show: the frozen vodka tap. Yes. A frozen. Vodka. Tap. Sheesh. As if that wasn't impressive enough, there's also a literal frozen sheet of ice built into the bar where you can set your drinks to keep them cold. I was both amazed and slightly concerned for my future decision-making. Trying to be responsible (and not get sideways alone at a hotel bar), I kept it light and ordered French fries, because I am a certified fry freak and a house garden salad. The fries were exactly what fries should be: hot, crispy, fresh, and wildly addictive. The garden salad was also super crisp and fresh, but the real star was the dressing. I'm pretty sure I ordered three ramekins of it, and if shots of salad dressing were socially acceptable, I would've been in trouble. Service was great too. The bartender was welcoming, friendly, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and easy, no rushed hotel-bar vibes here. Overall, great atmosphere, excellent fries, dangerously good dressing, and a frozen vodka situation that I will absolutely be thinking about again. We stayed at the hotel recently and visited The Henley bar a few times during our stay. We didn't have a full meal, just enjoyed drinks and desserts--but it was a truly enjoyable experience. The bartenders are friendly, personable, and welcoming. On our first night, our server (I believe her name was either Rhonda or Rochelle--let's just say the other was her alter ego!) was extremely busy due to short staffing but went above and beyond to check in with us, keeping us updated on our drinks and desserts throughout the evening. The desserts were rich and delicious, perfectly complementing our drinks. Beyond that, our server's sense of humor and lively conversation made our visits especially memorable. It felt less like service and more like spending time with a friend who genuinely wanted us to enjoy ourselves. Had a business meeting here and it was a bit of a roller coaster. No greeters at the front, staff is all wearing ill fitting blue nitrile gloves the whole time. Service was poor, slow. Had to ask for water 3x, hot sauce or ketchup with eggs 2x took 10 minutes and then eggs were cold. Price was high but not unfair. I'd go back but not to eat with anyone only to sit/work and have a coffee. So if that's what you are looking for rather than going to a Starbucks or other coffeehouse this is a great place. Staying at the hotel on business. Walked into the bar around 8:45 pm on a Monday. It was quiet, but there were people drinking and eating. Bartenders came right up to me and were friendly and pleasant. I didn't order any food, but had a blackberry smash cocktail. Drink was refreshing and well crafted. All throughout the winter storm that hit Dallas this past weekend, they were prepared. They ordered extra food, buffets were wonderful and so was the food I ordered off the regular menu. Stayed at the Hilton and enjoyed a breakfast here. Servers were super sweet and offered coffee right away. Excellent selection of meat, fruit and pastries. Eggs come scrambled and they will make omelets and other styles. Oatmeal and cold cereal with all of the toppings. The coffee cups are adorable. I copied the brand to try to find them for myself. A little noisy but expected at any hotel but quieter than most. Definitely an upscale and nicer setting than most. read more

A lower review because we were trying to catch up and have a nice conversation but every a few minutes the waitress would come and ask us if we needed anything. We stayed at the Hilton on Southlake Town Square for NYE. We only ate at The Henley because everything else was booked. I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. My steak was excellent. As good as any steakhouse I I've attended. My wife also liked her Salmon. I would definitely eat here again. read more

Food was sup-par. Not worth $800 for 13 people. Most of the party had over-cooked steak, which was really unfortunate for the price. All of the drinks tasted watered down and unflavorable on the signature menu, so I ordered my usual lemon drop, so much better. The waitress and manger seemed to have a disagreement at the table, thought that was inappropriate for the managerial staff. Manager had horrible customer service and a horrible greeting. Restaurant was empty on Christmas Eve, and totally not worth the money or the time. Never will return. Expected better for this area and this hotel. read more

Stopped in yesterday for breakfast because according to their FB Page, they were featuring an eclectic brunch. They were not. It was a standard hotel breakfast buffet. I ordered from the menu and got the croque Madame. My husband went with the buffet and ordered an Omelette. My croque madame came and it was decent - however only ONE thin slice of ham on the whole sandwich. Pretty lame for $18. My husband never got his omelette, our server was nowhere to be seen. I finished my sandwich and my husband asked a passing server to check on his food. Our server finally appears and drops the check. I informed her my husband hasn't even eaten yet. He never received his omelette. Minutes later he received an overcooked tiny omelette and ate about half of it. I was long finished with my breakfast at this time. We waited for our server to come back and take payment. She never came. I took my check and walked it up to her at the bar where she was standing. She never checked on either one of us when our food arrived. We saw our sever a total of 3 times during our meal. First time to greet us, 2nd time to drop our drinks and take order, and the 3rd time to drop our check when I was finished eating and husband hadn't even received his food. Was looking forward to a great brunch and left disappointed after dropping $50 on horrible service and sub par breakfast food. Do not recommend. read more

We went yesterday for Easter brunch and my oh my were we wowed! The food was superb, the selection seemingly endless and there was a mimosa AND bloody mary bar. The bloody mary bar had approximately 30 toppings and the mimosa bar had 3 or 4 juices to choose from. But all that aside, what set us up for an amazing experience was the staff! Ashley, one of the managers was professional, kind and helpful. Every person working at the buffet, serving and the hostess were exemplary. We had a perfect experience from start to finish, I don't think I've ever been to a brunch with so much variety and so much amazing food. The ham was carved while you waited and outstanding and they even have a kid's buffet!!! It was all-around the perfect experience. My only request? Add some bagels or plain toast. I am a carb girl and really missed the bagel :) If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars I would. We had such a great time that we went back to see the evening bar staff for a night cap before we ended our day of Easter family time!
