We had Thanksgiving dinner at Henry's & it was an extremely unpleasant experience. We have enjoyed dining at Henry's for years & when previous diners warned about how awful their food was now we were sure they were mistaken. The turkey looked like it was pieces of white meat pressed together & tasted the same. The sweet potatoes & stuffing were okay but even the pumpkin pie tasted like gelatin. Additionally we were seated in a booth backing up to 4 children who were totally out of control. Two of us took our turkey home to feed to our dogs. Pretty expensive dog food. read more

My husband surprised me with my birthday dinner at Henry's! I was impressed as soon as I entered. The atmosphere was crisp and inviting. Cindy, at the host stand was the perfect ambassador for this amazing experience. Our server, Hannah, was delightful. She was pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. I heard good things about Henry's so when I was in the area, I thought I would give it a try. My Sister and I sat at the bar to have lunch. The place was packed for a Thursday afternoon. There was one bartender who was clearly overwhelmed as he had the bar area and the surrounding tables. We ordered a glass of wine and our meal at the same time as we were in a rush. I am so glad we did because we barely saw the bartender after we ordered. Someone else brought our food when it was ready. There was no salt and pepper, a spoonful of ketchup for my plate of fries ( can you spare it?) and we needed mustard too. The food was just okay. I had a tuna melt which came on a pita bread. There was a ton of red onion in the tuna which I didn't care for either but I was hungry and in a rush so I ate it. No one ever checked to see if we wanted anything else or just simply ask if we were enjoying our meal. The customer service needs a big improvement. read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while, and I was impressed! We were a large group and the waitress took very good care of us. Several people had special requests for their food, and everything came out exactly as requested. The food itself was very good. Good quality and nice size portion. I had pecan crusted trout, which was delicious. It came with 2 sides, so I got whipped sweet potatoes and garlic spinach, both very good. One of the top restaurants in the area with an eclectic menu that will satisfy any taste. All good. Poked to perfection. If Lamb Chops are in your wheelhouse there are none better. 4/1 My mother in law love this place for their lunch so we are trying now their fix pre dinner happy hour menu and it was good. The pea soup was good and chicken piccata as well though adding more lemon could be better. Skinny margarita was pretty sour for me so I will pass that next time. We have an excellent server (she's tall). Her service was top notch. Ceasar salad was good and when I asked for an anchovies on the side, I got a humongous size... no kidding. We had a wonderful lunch with old friends at Henry's. A very large selection of dishes to choose from. It was very busy but we didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes with a reservation. Make no mistake, Henry's is an excellent restaurant. Food is unsurpassed, wait staff is marvelous, and ambiance is inviting albeit a bit old-fashioned. It's been a favorite of ours for many, many years. I just called to make a lunch reservation for the next day: Me: Hi, I'd like to make a lunch reservation for tomorrow. Person who answered the phone: It's the middle of lunch now, I'm busy. If the owner's of this restaurant knew how their phone was being answered, how would they react? Dropped by on a last minute basis with Orphan G and Orphan K and our respective brides along with Orphan G's "adopted son" This place usually caters to a mature crowd but I was happy to see that there were a fair amount of "youngsters" like me there. We all went with the prefixed Summer Dinner Specials and ordered off the menu. The wifey had a Shrimp Pasta dish which was good and I ordered the Chicken Francese (my fav dish) and it came with a Soup or Salad and a soft drink. Aunt E ordered the Chicken Meatballs and Spaghetti dinner and it looked and smelt so good I was tempted on trying to distract her and borrowing one of her meatballs! We're so glad we made an impromptu trip for dinner. We had no idea what this restaurant had in store since my husband and I were out on a date night driving around finding somewhere to eat. As we were driving on Jog Road in Delray Beach, we came across a plaza located right after Linton Boulevard on the east side. We parked somewhere and walked around to see what was in store. When we went inside, it was packed and we were able to sit outside comfortably while the fans were keeping the guests cool during a hot summer night. Henry's had a nice ring to it and it definitely surprised us on how great it was. There's a summer prixe fixe menu that is available up until the end of September. I recommend getting off your butt and trying it out now. $20 or $26 bucks for a 3 course meal with complimentary fresh bread. Chris and I got a caesar salad for a starter and it was topped with shaved parmesan, which was very good. I settled for the spaghetti and chicken meatballs and my husband got the grilled chop steak. Both of our meals were fabulous and there was plenty to bring home for leftovers. It was full of flavor and simply delicious. Dessert was a nice way to end the visit. The key lime pie and chef's selection of the evening (carrot cake) were nicely prepared and not overly sweet. Everything we had we would get again in a heart beat. Our waitress was extremely sweet and we were able to have our check in offer ($5 off of $20) applied to our bill after ordering off the special menu. We had our glasses and plates full and the staff kept our table clean. The food was brought out promptly and it was simply an enjoyable visit. I wasn't sure what to expect when we walked in, but we definitely will return in the future. They accept open table reservations, so it would be a good idea to reserve ahead of time to avoid the wait. Luckily, we were able to be seated right after walking in since we chose to sit outside. Stopped by Henry's of Boca (which is actually in Delray Beach - what???) for lunch with some friends. It's a nice, bright place with an airy feel to it, located in a strip shopping center. The parking lot was notably congested and I had to circle around back for a parking space. The menu features a variety of salads and sandwiches for lunch. Henry's best deal is their "11 for $11" menu, which includes an entrée, side (limited to fries, sweet potato fries, coleslaw or greens),and a soft drink or coffee. My lunchmates opted for the chicken & bacon caesar wrap with sweet potato fries. They enjoyed the wraps and raved about the fries... addicting! I chose the soup & half sandwich. The soup was black bean, which was a bit watery, but flavorful. Only one sandwich option is available each day with the soup/sandwich combo, and it was a turkey BLT on the day we visited. I requested that the tomato, lettuce and sauce be served on the side. The waiter was happy to oblige me, but he returned awhile later and explained that the wrap was pre-made, so no changes were allowed. How disappointing! I was actually more concerned about the freshness of a pre-made item than I was about the inflexibility of the kitchen. Fortunately, the wrap was tasty and featured a nice piece of turkey breast rather than processed turkey meat. The garlic aioli sauce was also flavorful without being overpowering. Before the entrees arrived, the waiter brought us a loaf of warm, delicious wheat bread. That was probably the single best item of the meal. Henry's is an enjoyable place for a casual lunch. It wasn't too busy, although I suspect it gets pretty crowded during "snowbird season". read more

Our first visit was so pleasant. Came for the July special prix fix menu. Everyone was so was so kind, from the hostess, the manager and especially our waitress. The ambiance was great: bright clean classy airy and nice soft music in the background. The bathrooms were clean. The waitress didn't wait for us to ask for more water or bread, and she accommodated my entree requests. The bread and honey butter were so good! The only thing that bothered us was seeing a waitress with extremely long hair playing with her hair and shedding in the kitchen area. And the creme Brule didn't have that crispy burnt sugar coating. We had a great dinner- we ordered the wedge to start and shrimp cocktail (shrimp was a bit small) the Mediterranean chopped salad (1/2 portion) was huge and a great salad! We also had the chicken chop and the fried shrimp rice. Great flavors and wonderful presentation for both. We liked our server a lot and felt the service was great. Henrys is a local restaurant off the beaten path in Delray Beach. It's nestled in small strip mall surrounded by country clubs. The food is outstanding. I have been there more than 50 times and I have never had a bad meal. The service is good, the drinks are better and it has a lively, friendly bar crowd. read more

I was a little early joining my friends for lunch on Saturday. Found $13. 95 lunch specials were valid in the weekend. The place was quiet and the silverware was rolled in a heavy white napkin. My waiter, Spenser, asked if I'd like a drink. Brought the water and lime promptly. I then asked if there would be enough to eat on the chicken Cesar wrap if omitted the wrap. Sure he said. Like a salad. When we all ordered, I asked for an option to the side which he agreed to with a service attitude. The orders came with no mistakes and everything looked great. My lunch was so beautifully presented and so yummy. No over done soggy lettuce from the dressing. My iced coffee that came with the lunch was wonderful and refilled. One of the diners took 1/2 a wrap home, as did I with my order. He brought boxes and bags quickly and handled the separate checks like the pro he is.
