I typically make a 5:00 PM reservation and arrive a few minutes early (around 4:55 PM), only to find a large crowd of guests waiting outside. This has happened multiple times. In Florida's summer heat, it's uncomfortable and frankly unnecessary to have dozens of customers--many of them elderly--standing outside in 90+ degree weather while waiting for the doors to open. During my most recent visit, people were visibly frustrated, hot, and asking why they couldn't simply wait inside the air-conditioned lobby. The issue seems to be a combination of policy and execution. The host staff often appear surprised when guests are annoyed, but the frustration is entirely predictable. If someone has a reservation and arrives a few minutes early, they should be allowed to wait comfortably inside rather than standing outside in the heat. I genuinely enjoy this restaurant and want to keep coming back, but this is an easily fixable customer experience issue. A simple change to allow guests to wait indoors before seating would go a long way toward improving the overall experience. I hope you take this as a friendly reminder that we want to eat here, we just don't want to boil outside.

This is special, he is only able to eat after receiving steroids with the chemo dose which allows his tumors to open up enough to get solid food past the obstructions. We sat at the bar as we have done a couple of times with his previous infusions. He asked for a chicken breast since he has cancer and is not able to eat much. Explained that he's had the kids portion previously. The bartender rudely replied, "we don't have a chicken breast on the kids menu" and proceeded to curtly list the items on the kids menu insinuating that my husband is a liar and there is no other option aside from "the entree". As a nurse of 33 years I am sickened and appalled that my clearly sick husband would be treated this way by anyone. Have a great day yourself Charlie. I won't be back EVER, especially after my husband's inevitable and impending death. Anyone who has a loved one that is ill and trying to live with their illness should never step foot in this place.

I ordered the appetizer portion of sausage and broccoli rabe. The dish was overcooked, extremely dry, and had virtually no liquid or sauce. I sent it back, expecting that the kitchen would address the problem. Instead, I was given what appeared to be the exact same dish with liquid simply added to it. Really? The food was already overcooked and dry--adding liquid to the dish does not fix the underlying problem. I found that response particularly disappointing and unacceptable. I then ordered the eggplant rollatini, which was also disappointing. It was heavily overbreaded and simply not very good. There was also an issue with the specials. I overheard another waiter explaining the specials to a different customer, so I asked the hostess whether there were any specials. She said yes. We told her that no one had mentioned them to us. The bartender then came over and went through the specials with us. We explained that it would have been nice to hear about the specials before we ordered, not after we had already placed our order. If specials are being offered, they should be communicated consistently to all customers. I have been a regular customer here for quite some time, which is why I feel compelled to say something. Something has clearly changed, and unfortunately, I feel that the quality of the food has been going downhill. This visit was not just a minor disappointment--the quality of both dishes, the way the first dish was handled when I sent it back, and the lack of communication about the specials all contributed to a very underwhelming experience.
