This family-owned and operated restaurant in Melbourne is totally unique, blending Chinese and Latino influences in a way that feels natural, creative and deeply personal. You can taste the care in everything they make. The flavors are fresh, balanced and bold without being heavy, and the ingredients taste like someone in the kitchen is paying close attention. The spring rolls are crisp, bright and full of flavor. The empanadas are the kind of thing you order once and then think about later. The Thai chili wings hit that perfect sweet, spicy and savory balance. And then there is the "So Dang," a dish that feels like a brilliant hybrid between pad see ew and pad thai, but with its own identity. "Men need women and women need men, stop all the weird sh*t" is a slogan this business publicly posted, fought for and stood by despite outcry from the gay community. The owner fervently said they supported the people who interpreted it the "right way" and did not support the people offended by it. I have receipts. I had been a patron of this business since the week it opened with only 4 tables...I supported their illegal mural before it was painted over, fought for this business at a City Council meeting, submitted it to Triple D...hell, it was my first Yelp review. One of our employee's recommended this place. Was not hopeful from the looks of the store front. Don't judge a book by it's cover because it was pretty awesome! Four people at our table and everyone ordered something different. Each dish was excellent. Not just good but excellent. This isn't the same as some fast food chinese/asian place.
