I was working in the area and decided to stop by. It was after 2:30pm and there were only a few customers. There is plenty of parking in front and around the store. It looks small from the outside but it's actually bigger inside. When you walk in, you're in a small room that has fresh vegetables and fruit, drinks and some refrigerators. I picked up some Japanese yams. In another room, towards the back there are a few rows of pantry staples. I grabbed some snacks to share with friends. The employees were nice and the store was clean and organized. Definitely a nice addition to the city.

New Oriental Store established in Rohnert Park. First and only one in the area. They have all your oriental seasonings and products to cook up a nice traditional meal. On this trip, we made kathiew Phnom Penh (Khmer Pho) and spring rolls. Loving, friendly owner and daughter staff. Support your local mom & pop shop. Thank you.

    Endless range of sauces!

Small niche market with some tasty unique items. They even have durian! Clean and worth checking out.

Pulled into this small-town pocket of Sonoma County and boom--this isn't just a market... it's a…read morefull-blown main character moment. Came here to meet a friend before a trip to the coast and somehow this place turned into mission control. Snacks? Covered. Drinks? Secured. "What's the plan?" meeting? Handled. This place isn't a stop... it's the pregame to your entire adventure. We walked in like "let's just grab a couple things real quick" ...and immediately started acting like we were prepping for a 3-day expedition into the wilderness. Trail mix, drinks, random artisan goodies we absolutely didn't need but emotionally required--into the basket they go. The vibe hits you right away--warm, local, no nonsense. Not that fake "rustic but expensive" energy... this is the real deal. The kind of place where you half expect someone to hand you sourdough and life advice. Now let's talk about that wood-fired kitchen... The smell alone should come with a warning label. You walk in thinking you have self-control... and 5 minutes later you're ordering like you just finished a marathon you didn't run. Zero regrets. Grab-and-go here is elite. Perfect if you're road-tripping because everything feels intentional--like it was made for people who say "we'll just eat in the car" and then end up parked somewhere scenic turning it into a full dining experience. Outside seating? Dangerous. You sit down "just for a minute" and suddenly you're 45 minutes deep into conversation, solving life, planning detours, and debating whether the coast trip should include at least three unnecessary stops (it should). The market side is where discipline goes to die. You go in for water... leave with snacks, drinks, and at least one item you'll later say, "honestly... great decision." Parking is easy, place is clean, and the whole experience just flows without trying too hard. This isn't just a market. It's a pit stop that turns into a personality trait. Will I be back? Yeah... next time I'm pretending I only need one thing again.

Very disappointing, won't be back. My wife and I rented E bikes in Petaluma (rental cost 25 cents…read moreper minute per bike) and rode to Penngrove market; we've never been there and thought it would be a fun outing for lunch. While ordering a sandwich there was one gentleman waiting on a sandwich order so I figured it would be fast. After grabbing some chips and a drink I paid, and then waited... and waited... and waited. After 35 minutes I counted 11 additional people standing nearby waiting on orders so I asked the man who was there when I ordered, who was still waiting, how long he had been waiting... 45 minutes!!! Because we were on rental bikes and paying by the minute, I decided to ask about the wait time. I was told my order had not been started... it would be "about another 30 minutes"...that they were backed up "50" sandwiches... and that they tell everyone orders will take 30 to 45 minutes. Because they don't personally take the orders, you order on a slip of paper tossed into a basket, and there is no sign posted advising people of the wait time, the wait time advisement realistically does not exist. Given this level of business you would think more staff would be working but I saw one person making pizza and only two people towards the back making sandwiches. That said, at best, I heard four or five names called for finished sandwiches in over 35 minutes. Honestly, I felt this was beyond unreasonable and requested to cancel the order for a refund. By the time I received a refund, it was disappointing our outing adventure was a failure and I paid an extra $20 in rental fees to just stand around waiting for a sandwich that never came. Quant store and patio but, but not worth the wait... won't be back.

Their produce at two price points of conventional and organic, their meat section offering all local and fresh options, their bakery is delicious and so beautiful, their deli with to-go food and sandwiches, and the soups are amazing, their taco and sushi bar, along with their hot food and salad bar all cannot be beat. They also have a bulk section for nuts, spices, honey, water, candy, coffee, etc. and offer everything else a grocery store would. The prices are a bit higher than other grocery stores, but you're paying for quality. Everything is fresh, the store is always so clean, and people are for the most part always friendly. They hire people with special needs, which in my opinion, is my favorite part of visiting there. Their butchers are always so friendly and helpful. Their only downfall is SOME of their cashiers. They often are lost in their own conversations, and do not greet or engage their customers. They can come across as rude or unfriendly for this reason. But over all, Olivers is my go to spot for all local meats, delicious and beautiful cakes, and to-go food. Highly recommend.

I have shopped at this store many times and they have a nice selection of Middle Eastern products…read more I like to cook and I find the things I need at the store. They have the best Pita bread. I have had good service from the people working there except for one older man who I think is the owner. Every time he is working there he is very grumpy looking and he glares at me like he doesn't want me there or something. I usually just ignore it, but the last time I went there he was extremely RUDE and disrespectful. I left without buying my items and I will never go back. I noticed there was another customer commenting here who noticed the same thing about this man when he shopped there. He should not be working in customer service.

I discovered Apna Bazaar about a year ago when I was looking for a place to find some Indian…read morespices and Middle Eastern ingredients. My first visit when I needed help Irene was quick to come over and showed me where the pickled turnips were. I felt quite welcome. My second visit a few weeks later I found the garam masala easily but had difficulty finding a couple of other herbs so asked the gentleman up front for assistance and he was most gracious. He found one easily but the other was a bit more difficult. He told me to finish my shopping as he searched and sure enough, a few minutes later he came over to me and gave me the Asafoetida. At checkout I mentioned that I had just gotten into Indian cinema and loved Aamir Khan, two of his films, PK and Laal Singh Chaddha (An Indian remake of Forrest Gump that was portrayed so brilliantly by Aamir Khan.) being some of my favorites. He then wrote down the name of another film for me to enjoy. And today I visited again and got everything I needed ( I love those MTR Minute meals! Just pop the packet in boiling water and in 5 minutes a delicious meal for when I am too tired to cook.) and checked out. My bag was a bit heavy and as soon as I paid Irene, she was up front today, picked it up and said she'd bring it to my car. (These days I am having mobility issues and use a cane.) I am sorry others have had a bad experience but for me I love this place. I have always gotten great service and love the selection. And I am not one to write reviews, I've written less than 10 on Yelp. Many thanks to Apna, and thank you Irene. :-) I hope I spelled your name correctly.
