Hi, my YELP Foodie Family: I want to share with you that Chiangmai Thai Kitchen is not just a restaurant; it is more of an experience. I felt like I was in Thailand the whole time I ate there, even before I tasted the food. The restaurant's interior was very much like I was in Thailand, and it gave me the feeling of one of the best meals I have had in a while. We started with the Tom Kha coconut soup, and let me tell you----this is not just a soup. It was a masterpiece. The taste was so good that it had the right amount of coconut milk, lime, and herbs. I ordered the spice level one, and trust me, this place doesn't joke with spicy food. One was enough to make me very hungry and, at the same time, provide that burning sensation one wants to have. Then there were the entrées. I ordered the basil rice with shrimp, and it was so good that each grain of rice was packed with flavor, and the shrimp were super tender and juicy. There was also Pad Thai with vegetables. I think I died and went to heaven because this was my first bite of this dish. The noodles were just right - not too soft that it melts in your mouth as soon as you put it in, but not too hard either; the vegetables were still crisp, and the sauce was something I would describe as mouth-watering, with the right amount of sweet and sour. But the most memorable drink of the evening was the Thai iced tea. I do not know what kind of spell they put in these drinks, and I ordered two because one was not enough. This is not the powdered, artificially flavored, and very sweet syrup you get at other places; this was fresh, creamy, and refreshing. This place was on its A-game the entire time we were there. The service was excellent, and the employees made me and my friends feel comfortable and valued the whole time we were there. Every aspect of the restaurant, from the design to the taste of the food to the excellent service, made me feel that I was in Thailand while eating in this restaurant. If you have not tried Thai Kitchen, This is not just a meal; this is an experience. I recommend you give it a try.

Gorgeous restaurant and good service. Was sad the food didn't impress as much. The fried rice we ordered had so much garlic and the seasoning clumped throughout. The lettuce wraps filling was good but not enough lettuce and weak pieces were given.

The staff are so nice and professional! The food is even more amazing. We had the garlic fried combo rice & the cashew nut with pork plate. The sauce is the most divine I've ever had with this dish! No where else makes it THIS GOOD! The dining room is very traditional and beautiful. Lit well and comfortable. I 100% recommend this place!

Great customer service and a Great place to eat if you like Thai food. Had lunch with there my family. Crab ragoons are good! I Had the Pad See Eu with chicken and it was delicious. My husband had the yellow curry and he loved it. We will definitely be back.

I will admit we had pretty low expectations for thai food in Terrell, but wow were we wrong. For apps: dumplins (we did them fried, I'd do steamed next) and crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon was fantastic. Tons of crab and not a lot of cream cheese. Both came out piping hot. For entrees, we got yellow curry with extra shrimp (and there were a lot of extra shrimp), red curry with chicken and pad thai combo. Each were fantastic. We did a 3 for heat on all - warm, lingering but not over powering. Everything was creamy, fragrent, and flavorful. The pad thai was some of the best I've had. And, the portions were super generous. The interior was charming and unique. Service was spot on. We can't wait to come back.

I saw this place when I got out the movies & just had to try it. The area is really cute and inviting. The waitress was really helpful with my questions and very nice. The appetizers were delicious but lacking some seasoning, it was definitely fresh though which was a plus. The pad Thai was at the spice level I asked for and was delicious, I just wish the shrimp didn't have the tails. I had to take time out to rummage around to take the tails off of my shrimp. If I'm in Terrell I'll definitely go back.

It's a favorite of mine. I've heard people don't like the crab ragoons but the potstickers are a win. Tom Kha soup is my go to.

Unfortunately the food wasn't that good. The restaurant was decorated so beautifully! But the pad se ew was bland. We wouldn't go back.

I started with the garlic edamame, Kani salad, and gyoza. The gyoza are pan fried perfectly! Some places fry them too hard or deep fry them. The kani salad is a mix of shredded cucumber, spicy crab mix with spicy mayo, and roe. I ordered the Angry Dragon roll and the Rockwall roll. The Rockwall roll is sweet with coconut shrimp wrapped, topped with spicy crab mix and coconut sauce. It's delicious! The atmosphere is very nice and intimate. Darker in the dining room with table lamps. You're not looking around the room at everyone, but more focused on just your party. I will definitely be returning to Basil Cafe more often! Can't wait to try more sushi! Thanks again Annika for a great experience!

Overall, the food was solid with a few standout items. The spicy tuna roll was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. The ramen was also quite good and comforting. The hibachi steak, however, was a bit of a surprise. The steak was cooked exactly to the temperature I requested, but it (along with the vegetables) arrived slightly cold, which took away from the experience. The fried rice also lacked a bit of seasoning and could have used a little more flavor. While this wasn't a bad dining experience by any means, I'm still on the search for that standout spot in the area that truly checks all the boxes. That said, there are definitely some dishes here worth coming back for.

We had been wanting to try Rumdoul for a while, so it felt like a double treat! Before we even walked through the doors, we were hit with the most incredible aromas coming from the restaurant. It immediately made us excited to eat. Once inside, we were greeted with warm smiles by Leona, who was absolutely adorable and incredibly attentive to everyone dining there. We also had the pleasure of talking with Mr. B, who shared his vision for the restaurant and how he wants it to be different. You can genuinely feel the love, pride, and passion he has poured into this place--not only in the atmosphere but in every bite of food. Following some of his recommendations, we started with the chicken gyoza. They were perfectly fried, crispy on the outside, and packed with flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the tofu yellow curry at spice level 4. Let me tell you--it was SPICY! But it was also absolutely delicious. I can't wait to order it again, although there are so many other menu items I want to try too. Jason ordered the chicken Pad Thai. He's extremely picky about noodle texture and thickness, and he devoured every single bite. He ordered spice level 3, which was almost too much for him, but that didn't stop him from cleaning his plate! Of course, we had to finish with the mango sticky rice, which was my favorite part of the meal. I poured every drop of that sweet coconut sauce over the rice and mango, and there wasn't a trace left on the plate. We even used the extra sauce from the gyoza in our dishes because everything was just that good. There's a reason Rumdoul is sitting close to a 5-star rating. The food is incredible, the service is wonderful, and the passion behind the restaurant shines through in every detail. We will absolutely be back--and as soon as our little man arrives, we'll be adding sushi to our order too! Giving Rumdoul 5's with zero hesitation.

But the dining flow is smoother and the dining room is larger and more comfortable. They have sacrificed considerable shelf shopping, an entire row - I didn't see my favorite pho packaged broth mix - but I certainly appreciated all the new tables and chairs. You still order and pay up front. There are photos for everything you might want to order, but there is something that cannot really be conveyed. I believe that the heat levels are hotter than most places. They will warn you. Believe them. So I believed it, it was still HOT, and I had to laugh. I still enjoyed it all. So my Husband got his wish and ordered the garlicky Pork Riblets. They are marinated in garlic, fried in garlic, and topped with garlic. So very very good. He also had the Chicken Wings also deep into the garlic flavor and very tender. He shared with me. Thank goodness. So I shared the always crunchy and tasty pork egg rolls. Heaven. They came with their own sauce, but there's a table up by the kitchen with the Hoisin, Sriracha, and other sauces and of course there is a spice tray. My husband had their wonderful green curry and I, the Pad Kee Mao, which was very spicy even at a (2). I wasn't keen on the noodle texture or lack of sauce. I've had many versions of Drunken Noodles and I wanted to like this this one. I love this grocery and restaurant combination. It's aromatic and fun!
