The food was great but the waiting time is terrible especially on a weekend. It took 45minutes and our order were messed up. The staff were nice though except one big guy (I think he was the host) who was so unprofessional in so many ways. Our orders was messed up and he took a look at it with our silverwares then he spilled the food on my brother's lap. Second, when we were done and ready for our receipt, he just threw the receipt at us and was very unethical. He was alsp sarcastic and very unprofessional. Very good green curry. LET ME REPEAT MY SELF IT IS VERY GOOD GREEN CURRY!!! My wife and I ordered several items from the menu. So many in fact that I am not going to even list them all guys. This place made my day. One thing that was just a small detail that really made me enjoy this experience is the bell that rings when the door opens sounds like the doorbell that rings in Christmas vacation and then it gradually gets slower and slower. Today we ordered two vegetable paradise meals for carry out. Both substituting broccoli for the green beans, and both with fried rice. We were charged extra for the substitution which we never have been charged and the fried rice we were charged but it was left out of our order. When I called to tell them of the errors: the extra charges and the missing rice. "Chase" told me they were now closed but he could have my rice ready on Tuesday (today is Sunday and they are closed on Mondays) or they could credit my next order the $6.00 for the error. Where do I start... Thai food has a special place in my heart which is why it is one of my favorite types of food. I have been waiting for a Thai place like this to open in Tyler and it's finally here! My girlfriend and I have been here at least 4 times, and I can honestly say it has been delicious everytime. The service is great too and the menu items are priced at a very reasonable rate. They are knowledgeable of the menu and are able to explain dishes that you may not be familiar with. Do not get a Boba Tea from here! They were out of the pearl Boba (which is basically what makes the drink) I called my order in and ended up having to wait 15 minutes to get my tea when they said it would only be 5 minutes. I ordered the Milk Tea, but they were out of that. So the guy said I should try to Thai Tea with Yogurt Boba. When they brought it out it was blended all together like a thick slushy. This is NOT how Boba teas are supposed to be. I sent it back after already having to wait. Once I finally got my drink, the yogurt Boba are NOT chewy. They burst when you eat them and are disgusting. My wife and I are not experts on Thai, so please bear this in mind. We ordered to go, and my wife had the Vegetable Paradise with shrimp. For a meal that is pretty plain and healthy, she was pleased. A very good amount of shrimp (where other places often shortchange you), though she wished the tails weren't there. I had the Prik Khing with chicken which I loved, but again, please remember I'm no expert on Thai food. I will say that we ordered through Yelp, and the hostess at the restaurant recommended calling in. Sometimes the online orders don't come through for a long time. This was an amazing experience. I used the Yelp24 app and ordered online. I received a text letting me know when it was ready. I then popped in and they were walking to the door with my order. My wife and I come here at least once, if not twice, a week. It is our favorite restaurant in Tyler. I've seen some other people on here talk about how it isn't authentic Thai food. You know, there are always these type of people that claim that they know what is and is not authentic. If you were going to have an authentic hamburger, where would you go? Most importantly about a Thai restaurant in the middle of East Texas, they are willing to take the time to educate their customers and explain the complex flavors and spice levels. Is it authentic Thai food? You be the judge but it is the best, most authentic, Thai experience you can get in East Texas!! I like the Tom Kha Noodle Soup, Pad See Eu, Tofu Fresh Spring Rolls, any Curry with steamed noodles, Pad Thai, and Pineapple Fried Rice. LASTLY, AND THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT. So disappointed! I had such high hopes for this place. The menu looked so go. FD's next door was too busy and I have been wanting to try this place since moving to town. Walked in and there was plenty of seating but because the 3 servers didn't work together it took a bit. We did get seated by another server and then no one would wait on us. They were even arguing about who had what tables and someone that got seated by their server placed a drink order. That same server by the way seated is not didn't take our drink order since it wasn't his table....sheesh. Once we did get to place a drink order, 2 waters with lime, it took forever. Ordered shrimp spring rolls and the lettuce had no green in it and it was really dry. Had probably been in the cooler all day. There was not enough peanut sauce but it was bland. Ordered pad keep mao shrimp with just a little spice. Arrived no spice. Shrimp were good size and texture but rest of dish was so-so. Wife had pad see ew pork. The pork was so tough and old that she couldn't chew it. When we told our server, he said that the owner was coming back tomorrow and he would tell her. That's it, no, "how can I make it better, etc". Server brought out bill before we were done and I had to ask to order dessert. Who can mess up mango sticky rice? These guys! They put the sesame seed on before putting the sweet coconut milk on. The mongo was old and bitter. The sticky rice was warm and amazing. My wife left nauseated so we'll see how we make it through the night. We watched the servers and they must not tip share because they were not looking out for each other or working together. If they do tip share they didn't have much to share with mine. This was such a poor experience at a time when restaurants can't afford to be this way. Service was horrible and food was so so. I use to love coming here because it was super affordable and the portion sizes were huge. But lately they've hired a bunch of kids who don't really want to have jobs. I ordered online through yelp/grubhub and paid then, so it would be really for pick up, I sent my husband to get it for me so I wouldn't waste my lunch break driving up there, he informs me that they made me pay again, after I already paid online, I don't have time for him to go back so I call them and tell them their mistake. I give them my info and the girl that answers says she'll "text her manager" a month later and still no word and I'm out $28 because not only didn't I get charged twice, my tiny takeout bowl was half filled. No drink refills and the many waiters that have waited on us forget about their customers. Some of the staff that has waited on us previously seemed to have rolled out of bed after a long night of partying still hung over trying to make a buck with poor service. Manager I always see (female) seems to be more interested in shooting the breeze with the employees than managing the restaurant. We don't get greeted/acknowledged when we come in to dine. The crab Rangoon were good, but probably not made on site. Looked to perfect and all exactly the same. They actually have crab in them, so dont confused them with the cheese wontons you get at most places. The inside of the Rangoon was a little pasty in texture for my liking. So I'm super picky with Thai food, it's like sushi places...it's either great or your being rushed to the hospital! I gave this spot a chance when it first opened and it's on my "quick run" last minute eats from here out. I live about 5 minutes from this resturant, it's convenient...easy parking, good service and fresh food. I respect the other poor reviews but in my experience, I find it consistent, made to perfection...clean (which is extremely important for me) and made with fresh ingredients. I'm not an MSG guy, so the chain stores never see me. I will say, it is very difficult to prepare as many menu items as they have, it's the only downside with this business. I always get the same things...egg soup as appetizer and green curry with chicken as my meal.
