Our server told us last order was at 6:45 since the cook had to leave early for another gig. They used to close later at night years ago. We had our usual chick-boy combo sisig, grilled liempo, tapa and garlic rice. Our friends embellished our spread with ginataang sitaw at calabasa (beans & squash in coconut milk), bam-i pancit, chicharon bulaklak (ruffle fat) and lechon kawali. I am not Filipino food expert, but my family and I really like Chibog. We haven't ever dined in but order takeout from here every few months. Online ordering is available and simple. Phone orders are also welcomed too. The restaurant is always packed when I go in to get my food. The dining room is pretty small, but can probably fit 30 or so diners at a time. Our staples are the lumpia shanghai, pancit palabok and bbq chicken silog. Over the years, the prices have really increased but it is a sign of the times wherever you dine these days. read more

First time here for a party of two during a Sunday afternoon. We got there at 12:30ish so best to wait because once we got our food there was a little wait. I got their Lechon Kawaii, pork adobo and garlic rice. All silog's comes with garlic rice or white rice and an over easy egg. You can add tomato for $2 extra (two sides combo upgrade is $3 more) I loved their Lechon sooooo tender and crispy paired well with the side of white vinegar or the brown sauce! We shared their sizzling sisig which was great per my cousin but I think it was a little dried without the egg? We got the combo of pork and chicken. We waited about 30 minutes to get in, but once we were seated, the service was incredibly efficient: I was eating within 10 minutes of sitting down. ​I ordered the Chicken Tocino, and the portions are definitely generous. We ordered a handful of dishes to share: lechon kawali, chopsuey vegetables, lumpia shanghai, sizzling sisig, longanisa, and bowl of garlic rice. It was more than enough food for all of us, and we even had a good size of leftovers to take home. My favorite was the longanisa - it was so flavorful! The lumpia shanghai was good but a little drier than I'm used to. I would recommend everything except the chopsuey vegetables. It was pretty bland and felt overpriced for what it was (basically just standard mixed stir fry veggies with a bit of chicken in it). Someone saw me eating adobo at my kids swim class and told me I needed come here. And I'm glad they did. Chibog is fantastic: the food is great and flavorful, the servers are very friendly, and the portions are generous. We started with the lumpia Shanghai: the wrapper was crispy and light. The pork filling was tasty. We also got the sizzling sisig: this was a really good dish: the pork was shredded and very crispy from the skillet. However, I should note that it's more made of like shredded pork shoulder. I've also had sisig which is more made of fattier parts (like ears and tripe), which I really like. We also got the string beans and squash in coconut sauce. This was a great dish. My son doesn't usually eat vegetables, but he liked this. Love this place!! For those who are unable to make the long lines at Katsuland, Chibog is also delicious! My favorite is the barbecue chicken a la carte - so good and plentiful portion! Simple goodness that should be part of any order. When I returned with friends, we got the sisig as well as the lechon. The sisig was unfortunately a little dry, but overall still very good. More of a 3.9, but it doesn't change the fact that I like Chibog's :) The lechon was unfortunately even drier so we were kinda hovering on a 2.9. The garlic rice it came with (it's an option for all the entrees) was good though so getting the combo add-on is a good choice for those who prefer more variety than straight meat. (Next time, I wanna try the calamansi drink which is one of my favorite citrus drinks it's an elite lemon lime from Philippines.) Was originally going to hit up King Katsu as a friend was interested in trying the spot; but there was a bit of a wait so we ended up deciding on going to Chibog instead. It was my first time here and but my friends have said the food was really good and it didn't disappoint! Came in on a Saturday around noon and we were able to grab a table without waiting. The restaurant has a chill and homey vibe to it; a very typical Asian style restaurant. Service was pretty good and staff was super helpful and attentive in answering any questions that we had. Staff came by often to refill waters as well. We decided to share 3 dishes: 1) BBQ Chicken(A La Carte)(8/10) - A very good BBQ chicken dish! Cooked to perfection; super juicy and tender - savory and lightly sweet along with bits of char for that smokey flavor! Portions are generous with about 6+ pieces of chicken thighs! 2) Sizzling Sisig(Combo with Egg)(7.5/10) - Not my favorite sisig, but a very good one! The combo comes with pork and chicken, which works pretty together; usually I opt for pork since it is more crispier and has more umami from the pork's fattiness. This sisig's flavor was well balanced with it leaning more towards tangy/sour taste profile. I just wished that the meat was crispier. The egg was cooked perfectly(over easy) and adds a bit of creaminess to the sisig when mixed together with the runny egg yolk. 3) Lechon Kawali(Silog - with Garlic Rice and Eggs)(6.8/10) - I thought this dish was just okay...the pork was a bit tough and dry; wasn't very crispy either. Maybe it was a bad batch or the pork that we got was a bit too lean. The garlic rice that came with the silog plate was very good; garlicky without being overpowering. My brothers and I came here on a Sunday morning before the rush for our Super Sunday Feast. We ordered a little bit of everything for the three of us to share, and everything was amazing and freshly made. My personal favorite is a toss-up between the Kare-Kare classic and the Lechon. Honestly, everything we had was a hit. All the dishes paired well with the big bowl of garlic rice that came with our meal. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you get. Heard about Chibog while reading a blog post from The Infatuation of their favorite restaurants in Daly City and was excited to finally get to try it during my first visit to the area yesterday considering how big Filipino cuisine is there. At around 1-2PM there was a few people waiting out the door with the restaurant at full capacity (they had a sign that said 49 max capacity but there probably was only 15ish patrons who took up all the seating so its not really a large space. We waited around 15 minutes to get seated. The menu items can look pretty pricy, but are completely justified when you actually see them come out. The portions here aren't explicitly "family style" but definitely feel that way - seeing a few of the dishes come out made us decide to only order the one entree we had been looking forward to: the sizzling sisig + a large serving of garlic rice. For two people, even just ordering those two were more than enough - we could only finish 2/3 of the sisig and less than half of the bowl of rice. Really good bang for your buck here. The sisig was really good and met the hype. One of the best things about it was the inclusion of a hefty portion of chopped peppers which gave it a nice kick. The pork was also very meaty compared to other restaurants' sisig, which tend to be more on the cartilage-y side which can be good if you like that style of sisig. However, the one downside was that it wasn't crunchy at all - some spots will have either chicharon or some other pork crackling which provides that incredible contrast of flavor and I felt it was sorely needed here. There was a bit of crispiness and char but left a bit more to be desired. Overall a really solid choice for Filipino cuisine in Daly City and glad to have tried it! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Don't believe the sign, they say service animals are welcome, but I was just refused service because of my service animal. I even explained the situation respectfully to the manager, trying to do the right thing, and was still denied. I came all the way from Las Vegas, genuinely excited to try this place. To be treated like this after making that trip was beyond disappointing, it was humiliating. If you're going to post that service dogs are allowed, follow through. After a long hiatus, we returned to Chibog on Sunday, December 7, 2025, for a birthday brunch for Uncle Danny. He wanted tapsilog, so I recommended that we go here. Reservations are still not accepted at Chibog, so when we arrived at around 1:30 PM, our party of seven had to wait about half an hour to be seated. The venue, a single dining room with wooden tables and chairs, remains unchanged, but they have shortened their business hours, closing at 6:00 PM (5:30 PM for carryout) on most nights and at 7:00 PM (6:30 PM for carryout) on Fridays and Saturdays. Sadly, service has not improved and is still pretty under par. Initially, only 2 plates for appetizers were served to our table. When the Lumpiang Shanghai (20 pcs, $17.50) and Fried Lumpia (4 pcs, $11.25) were served, we asked for the rest of the plates, but only 3 were given. We had to ask for the missing 2 and they said, "We ran out of the small plates. I guess we will just give you big plates." Yeah, of course, I mean, did they expect the remaining of us to eat without plates?? The response made it evident that they didn't forget the last couple of plates, they just simply gave up and figured that they would just let us deal. Not cool. Additionally, one of the Ube Milk Shakes ($8.25 each) and the Tortang Talong ($17.95) were served considerably later than everything else...and they completely forgot to serve Sisa's coconut juice. One of the waitresses never smiled nor offered any apologies for the forgotten coconut juice. Many times, I went to the counter to ask for things like salt & pepper, to go containers, etc. My self-service was faster and sans neglect. Luckily, most of the food is still good. In fact, I can retract my advice in my original review to avoid the Tapa and Bistek as the beef were lean this time. The boys found the Tocino, both pork and chicken, to be tasty, but fatty. Unfortunately, though, the Silogs now come with only one egg and they charge an extra fee if you want to order a second. The slice of tomato that usually accompanies silogs is also not free. Additionally, Uncle Danny found the combo Sizzling Sisig ($22.50) to be so salty that he told Sisa that she should return the plate to be remade, but she was fine with it. The Tortang Talong and Lechon Kawali were ok and the Avocado Milk Shake ($8.25) could have been a little stronger in avocado flavour. Z, V and Mom enjoyed the Ube Milk Shakes and the Halo-halo was yummy. Although I was happy with my food, the consensus was that brunch was a bit disappointing. The boys actually said that they would prefer not to return, which was surprising to me. I guess that I will need to stick to carryout here. read more

Chibog is a good Filipino food place and feels very familial. The food comes in large portions and will definitely stick your bones. For me, this is the place I go if I want hearty, greasy Filipino food. Their Chicken sisig is something I could eat all day! Silogs are my go to here and definitely worth the wait if there is line to sit inside. Restaurant isn't the fanciest but has great food! We've introduced this place to many friends and they too, make the trek when possible. Our experience here has always been great. The sad part... the meat was not nearly "tender" and the bone had hardly any bone marrow in it. The veggies was baby bokchoy which was not a generous amount in the soup. For me you need to feel like you get your moneys worth. Food was fresh and had great flavors and seasoning. The Sisig had so much meat with onions and the fried egg on top. So good!
