I came here for mother's day for the first time with my parents. We got the meal combo for 3 people and it was a lot of food for such a good price!! We enjoyed the crab, garlic noodles, the salad and the fish the most! It comes with ice cream at the end as well. I'd recommend making a reservation since it seems it could get busy there! Will be back soon!

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed our meal here. For three people we got the "Dinner for 2" with an additional crab fried rice. It ended up being a perfect amount of food. Everything was quite good but my favorites were the peppercorn crab and crab fried rice. The peppercorn crab had a thin coating of batter on the outside that tastes light and crunchy without being oily. The crab fried rice had terrific flavor. Chicken cabbage salad and imperial rolls were decent as well. The house garlic noodles tasted just okay for me. For ice cream, I enjoyed the mango more than the coconut! I'd definitely come here again as it was also a fun eating experience digging into the crab.

Came after a recommendation from my cousin as they have been to the one in SF, surely a great one! If you like crab and lobster, this is the spot for you! Friday night and had to wait! There was a decent amount of people but was seated right away. The menu is pretty clear cut but they also have pre-set menus which is what I opted for. Dinner for 2 set included 1 chicken salad, 1 crab dish, a garlic noodle, and ice cream afterwards. We added a peppercorn wings too which was amazing as well! All dishes exceeded expectations! I can't wait to try their other flavors of crab and other dishes. The service was fast and nice. A lady took our order and another served us our dishes. The lady was even nice to give us 3 ice cream scoops since the prefix only came with 2! The restaurant itself reminds me of a Chinese restaurant with hints of boiling crab decorations. I will say though it was a bit difficult to find parking where we had to find street parking since there a bunch of other stores on the lot. Nonetheless, that will not stop me from coming back, the food was so comforting and service was superb!

Good O PPQ. It is always a great meal here. Food and service are solid. One of our longtime cycling friends have not been here before so it gave us a chance to bring him. He loved it and is a very picky eater. Meal for four adults and two kids was $420. Service fee is automatically added. We ordered separate dishes as supposed to the set meals. We had crab asparagus soup, two garlic noodles, peppercorn crab, roasted crab, shrimp papaya salad, sea bass, tofu, eggplant and string beans. Everything was fine. They have changed the recipe for the peppercorn and wasn't as good as before. Regardless. Good meal. Thank you everyone at PPQ.

I've been to their SF location numerous times and always ordered the fixed menu, it always seemed like a good deal. BUT boy has those prices climbed up! It was almost not worth it anymore. I made reservations through YELP, no issues there, easy peasy. When we arrived, we go seated right away near the window. We ordered the fixed meal and 1/2 dozen fresh oysters. :) Fresh oysters - fresh and very good! :) Chicken salad w/fish sauce dressing - good but nothing really special, I remembered it to be better in SF location but that was a long time ago. :) Egg rolls - I love their egg rolls, wish they gave us more. Piping hot and stuffed with yumminess inside :( Egg yolk crab - I know Crab season have not opened up yet and it shows in the crab. My first bite was a mushy mealy texture but luckily, it was only on that 1 bite. The egg yolk flavor was not as deeply flavored as I would like it to be... I've had better at the SF location and other establishments. Wish we ordered the butter garlic one instead. I wish I came out feeling I got a good value and deliciousness for the bucks I spent.

PEPPERCORN PEPPERCORN I WANT THAT STUFF ON ALL MY DISHES i will literally order whatever dish that has their peppercorn seasoning on it, because its a certified fire dish, no matter what protein you get! fried tofu - YUPP, the tofu is still so soft inside, but crispy and flavorful on the outside. get that peppercorn seasoning that is overflowing on the plate and just eat that all in one bite, goddamn its delish fried chicken - again, with the peppercorn, it makes it tastes so good and they really marinate their chicken well shrimp - yeah, i think you are getting what I am putting down. with that peppercorn seasoning. oh and get the garlic noodles to go with this and then add more peppercorn seasoning If i ever need to pick anyone up from the airport or drop them off, im going to make them come straight here because its so close to SFO, its the perfect excuse!

PPQ never disappoints! We normally go to the location in SF, but we're closer to the airport and decided to come to this location. There is a lot so parking here is super easy! The restaurant is also large, open and airy! Service is always efficient and friendly. In this visit we ordered the $200 family meal and it was amazing! Crab is always perfect, and this comes with garlic noodles, fried spring rolls, green beans, barbecued pork and fish. Everything was so, so good! And everyone got to choose which ice cream cone they wanted for dessert. Will probably only come to this location from now on to avoid the problem I always have finding parking in the city!

Came here at 5pm on a Saturday to celebrate my niece's 17th birthday. At this time, it was easy to find parking and we were seated immediately. There were 10 of us so we ordered the dinner for 10. Everything was delicious! The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean, comfortable and didn't feel too crowded. We enjoyed a delicious meal with 3 crabs. As you can see, I forgot to take a picture of most of the dishes until we were finished eating. We still had enough to bring leftovers home.

Made reservations on Yelp for 5, on Christmas Day for 3:45PM. Wanted to eat before the rush and crowds came. Good decision. We were the first ones in and then the crowds started to stream in. 2 of my kids don't really eat crab, one said it's too much work, lol. We started with the fried calamari and it was just okay. Definitely from frozen. I've had better. I think maybe we should have had the fried spring rolls instead. We ordered the steak cubes for the non crab eaters and albeit it was very tender the taste was more on the sweet side. Maybe we should have opted for the peppercorn short ribs instead. Garlic noodles are always a must. Goes well with anything and everything. We ordered the two grabs and both were delicious. I definitely sat on the wrong side of the table bc the crabs were sitting in front of the 2 big crab eaters. No claw left unturned. Love the sauce of the roasted crab, it's so good on rice and the salted egg yolk has a delicious flavor as well. I could probably eat one crab to myself.

Always fantastic! Our go-to for garlic crab but usually the old Geary location. Parking much easier here! Food every bit as delicious!

Great spot for crab sets for big or small groups! We love coming here with a large group since they have set menu options that are easy. My favorite crab is the peppercorn, but they're all so good! They have a lot of Various crab options from steamed to fried, so there's something for everyone. The chicken, garlic noodle, veggies, and steamed bass are all amazing as well. We added on a salted egg yolk shrimp which was really unique and delicious, like salted egg yolk chips! The interior is clean and casual, a nice atmosphere for chatting. The service was really good, everything came out quickly and we were never wanting for anything! One of the best crab spots!

We ordered the imperial roll, crab and asparagus soup, beef cubes, steamed sea bass, string beans, shrimp fried rice and roasted crab in garlic butter. Everything came out delicious. Service was awesome and the restaurant is nice and spacious. The crab was already cut up in smaller pieces. It was excellent.

It was a buffet luncheon of prime rib, salmon, rigatoni pasta, vegetable medley and a cake dessert which the club provided. There was one tray of each food therefore we were limited to one piece or scoop to each person. The food was a little chintzy as it was half a slice of prime rib and small chunks of salmon. We were able to offer a second helping of rigatoni and prime rib. The prime rib was A little fatty but was tender. I enjoyed The salmon even thought it was small and not overcooked. I think the restaurant could have made up for this if they added bread and butter and perhaps a salad. We were able to stay, mingle and dance in that private room for the entire afternoon which was an added bonus. Everyone had a good time and the staff cut and plated the cake for all. We made our way to Millbrae and on to El Camino. We parked around the corner and were seated right away. It was a fairly busy Thursday night but we were glad we didnt have to wait. There was a rotating skewer-ready charcoal grill at each table and we ordered a variety of food. We ordered garlic oysters in the half-shell ($10.95). This was cooked in the kitchen and brought out. It was delicious. We ordered prawn skewers that were a big size and came one per skewer. We had Japanese wagyu ($25.95), prime beef ($6.95), pork jowl ($3.95), shitake mushroom ($2.95), chicken thigh ($2.95), pork sausage and marinated meat skewers. We enjoyed everything that came out. Service was great and attentive. It was pretty much one server for the entire restaurant so she was running around to all the tables... The meats were good and the ones that were pre-seasoned were good too. Otherwise the dipping sauces were tasty. They bring out the skewers little by little and you can place the cooked meats on this rack-like contraption that sits near the grill and eat them at your own pace. I really liked this concept. I would certainly go back again.

Truffle taste in the truffle cream sauce wasn't very strong. -Zucchine e Maiz lasagna: Pesto was a great sauce choice and paired well with the zucchini and corn. -Squid Ink Seafood Pasta (special): Generous seafood portions and the dish was flavorful. -Complimentary focaccia: Fluffy and yummy with olive oil. Other dishes: The Italian Sausage lasagna was fine. I personally love crispy lasagna edges, but some people found it too crisp and too dry. The salad (Insalata di Rucola) wasn't mind blowing, but I'm glad we ordered a veg to cut through the richness and heaviness of three carb-heavy entrees. The restaurant itself is smaller than expected, so I would avoid coming here with large parties. It also felt really hot and stuffy inside, which I anticipate getting worse as summer progresses. So, after seeing that Garden Kitchen had taken their place, we had to come here to see how this place compares! Looking around inside, it's hard to tell that anything about this place has changed. Their configuration is largely the same, offering plenty of tables inside, for groups large or small, and the menu, while different, is still pretty interesting. While not a HK cafe, it has a cafe sort of feel to it. Along with a slate of appetizers, they also have congee, noodle soups, chow fun/chow mein, fried rice, rice plates, noodle soups, and specialty entrees, including hainan chicken, which seems to be their most popular dish. In addition, they also have some Chinese BBQ options, like Char Siu and Roast Duck, but, tragically, we didn't see roast pork listed. -- ROAST DUCK (QUARTER) I was cautiously optimistic for this one and, thankfully, it turned out great. The pieces we got were rather meaty and the skin on this was really flavorful and neither too soft nor dried out. -- HOUSE SPECIAL HAINAN CHICKEN (QUARTER) Not as amazing as we had hoped for, but still pretty solid. The pieces we got were a bit lean and the skin wasn't the greatest, but the chicken itself was cooked well and I liked the peanuts that this came with. -- SALT & PEPPER FISH FILET Although this wasn't as good as others I've had, this wasn't bad. On the plus side, the batter was crispy, the fish was moist, and there was a fair amount of garlic and peppers. On the other, the inside of the batter was really gummy. -- THREE COMBO MEAT STIR-FRIED RICE NOODLES Sadly, I just wasn't a fan of this at all. Although this had a decent mix of stuff in it, the noodles themselves were torn apart, overcooked, and just kind of tasteless. Pass. -- BEEF CHOW FUN Pretty standard, but still pretty good! The noodles had a nice bite to them and, surprisingly, the slices of beef weren't as tough as I feared they would be. Plus, the dish wasn't very oily either. -- DRY FRIED STRING BEANS WITH MINCED MEAT Nothing special, but still pretty solid. The string beans were cooked well and they didn't skimp on the meat. However, I wish they had used some XO sauce in this to add a stronger punch of flavors. -- BEEF BRISKET & TURNIP RICE PLATE Along with the Roast Duck, this was my other favorite dish here. The brisket was super tender and I really liked how the sauce had a nice beefiness and richness to it. -- BRAISED FISH FILET WITH TOFU & BLACK MUSHROOMS This didn't look all that impressive, but it was actually pretty good. The tofu and mushrooms were both great, but, like the salt & pepper fish, the batter felt a little gummy. -- TOMATO BEEF PAN FRIED NOODLES I didn't eat much of this one, so I can't say much about it. However, based on what I had, this was fine. The noodles were crispy, the portion was decent, and the beef wasn't chewy. -- SOY SAUCE CHOW MEIN For better or worse, this was kind of generic. There wasn't anything about this that stood out, but at least the noodles weren't overcooked nor was it salty/heavy on soy sauce. -- POTSTICKERS Ehh...this was fine. The filling wasn't too shabby and I liked how soft the skins were. However, I wish these had a harder and deeper crust on the bottom to give it that crunch. -- PORK & SHRIMP WONTON NOODLE SOUP Honestly, this had the potential to be so much better. Despite how this came with a fair amount of wontons that were all pretty plump, the broth was surprisingly bland and diluted. Beyond the food, service here is unremarkable, but not necessarily in a negative sense. Rather, there's nothing amazing about it, but all of the workers are still friendly enough and efficient while the kitchen gets orders out relatively quick, which is all you can really ask for. All in all, while a couple of our dishes were definitely pretty tasty, just as many underwhelmed while the rest were just okay. Combine that with how there usually isn't a line and how parking is super easy (they have a small lot, too) and Garden Kitchen is still a terrific option for a quick and convenient meal. Though, one that isn't quite as tasty as Fat Wong's used to be. THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded down.
