The location is completely inhospitable, no waiting area, no nearby amenities, and you're basically forced to rideshare back and forth. In my case, that alone cost a ridiculous amount. Not their fault, but it is part of the customer experience. I paid about $1,000 to tint a coupe, which feels excessive when similar work in the city runs closer to $600-$700. At least in the city, you can pick up your car in daylight, actually see the work, and have someone walk you to your car turn the lights on and/or answer questions. Here, the lot is dark, hard to navigate, and just not convenient. My car was parked outside in the dark parking lot which is already black on black and they have a well lit interior garage. I picked the car up the rep didn't walk with me around the car...nothing. The quality of the work was good and the staff was fine, no issues there, but between the pricing and the location, I wouldn't go back. I'm sure there are comparable shops in the city that deliver the same quality without the hassle.

I assumed from the other reviews & personal references that this place did professional work worth the extra cost. They however did work on my vehicle that was amateur at best & described by fellow car enthusiast as the worst they had ever seen. Let me start with the fact I was told tints, a roof wrap & powder coating my rims would take 3 days. It took a total of 5 days to get my vehicle back & on the 4th day the car was UNDRIVEABLE on pick up as they had put my rims/tires back on WRONG. The wrap was horrible & I mean HORRIBLE. I paid top dollar thinking they would put in extra effort & professionally wrap my vehicle. They must have put someone on the job who has never wrapped a car before because I'm sure I could have done a better job. Even the tints were not cut to precision and sloppy put on the vehicle. I found a beard hair in the driver side window tint within a day of picking up the vehicle. I now have to even take my car to the dealership for a tire alignment & inspection as I don't know what else was done to my vehicle but it has not been driving as smoothly as it was before.

I only spoke with Klaudia (the owner), who mentioned she was renting a space inside Pearl Auto Spa at 3049 W. Irving Park. Here's the kicker: Tim claimed, "When we first spoke, I pointed out specific scratches, paint chips, rust, and damaged body panels that would require bodywork, and you acknowledged that." In reality, it was the complete opposite--I was the one who brought up all the issues with my car, which is the whole reason I went there in the first place! The day of week and date of month didn't match. When I arrived on the Saturday morning the owner showed me I was set for a different Saturday. Without any hesitation he got all four guys in the shop to start working immediately to get the job done in front of others. He knew I was a hour drive away from home. Deadlines were repeatedly missed--even when I adjusted my schedule to accommodate. What was supposed to be a straightforward project kept dragging on, and I had to follow up multiple times to get updates or clarity on next steps. The team also misplaced my city sticker, which meant I had to file a police report and go to City Hall to replace it--just for trying to get my car worked on. To Adam's credit, they did offer to cover the cost, but that doesn't undo the hassle involved. As a gesture, they added ceramic coating to the paint, but unfortunately, they applied it without properly washing or prepping the surface beforehand--something that completely undermines the purpose and longevity of the coating. In short: good intentions, but poor execution. I appreciate the effort to make things right, but when you're paying for quality work, the follow-through has to match the promises.

They did paint correction and got the base paint looking great (I mean better than new) and then put the PPF on. The PPF was applied flawlessly and the entire car is protected and looks awesome! They also asked me to bring the car back after two weeks to wash it and check their work after some time in the real world of a Chicago winter. Finally, I had a minor issue with my driver side mirror (my fault - scraped the garage wall) and they buffed it out during the wash and PPF check. I highly recommend the team at Electric Auto Finish!
