Great meal family meal deals Great lunch deals for single slices and a drink. Very small venue to eat inside...it is definitely not ideal to eat inside because it is so hot. Not sure the ac or building cooling system, so we opted for pick up. You can order online, call or walk in. Service is pleasant and attentive. Food is delicious hot and fresh. Toppings are plentiful so you feel the worth of value. This place is on the greasy side, if you're hesitant than order well done for that nice crisp. Sides are yummy, the fried mushrooms I feel vary on size and vendors they use. No giant ones like pictured before. Ranch is delicious. The French fries were OK, not our favorite thing here in the order but it's a nice option to have with a sandwich which look tasty here too. I moved to the neighborhood about 4 years ago, and have visited numerous times. The cheese steaks are awesome, and their pizza is pretty good too. Tastiness of the pizza does seem to vary from time to time, but thankfully it varies at the high end of the scale, from a 7/10 to a 9/10. Ambience is not much, but I mostly order take out, and they are super fast with phone orders. My only complaint is that their prices have risen lately, but that it true for a lot of places. read more

This is for a doordash order- we didn't eat in. I had a guest and they needed to be fed. One half of the pizza had pineapple on it, for those of you who don't like pineapple (just a warning)! We did the create your own, along with an order of mozzarella sticks. Overall, a solid pizza, with bell peppers, basil, and pepperoni (only on half). My only complaint was that the mozzerella sticks were a bit cold and we had to rewarm them in the microwave, but that was probably because...we ordered doordash. Was it the best pizza ever? I ordered online around 7:55pm on a Friday night for pick up at 8:30pm. I got 2 16" pizzas, there's a special for specialty 16" pizza (I got meat lover's) and a 2L soda. I also did the pick up special for a 16" 1 topping pizza with 6 breadsticks. I got there around 8:15 and got a text it was ready. I only had to wait a bit longer because the breadsticks were almost ready. The cashier graciously allowed me to swap my 2L coke for a Sprite (I input it wrong online) so very happy about that. Crust is a happy medium, it's not super thin nor super thick and doughy. Cheese and toppings were a good ratio so it didn't seem like they skimped. Great pizza and consistency. The breading is like 1 mm thick. Almost feels like the entire pizza slice is just cheese itself but still has that crunch. Awesome $8-$9 cheap lunch special sliders and pasta. Definitely one of the best pizzas I've had in SD by a country mile and it's no wonder they've been in business for decades. This is another example of an establishment whose name does not do it justice... In fact, there is nothing little about the portion sizes or the amount of toppings at this place! The Antipasto Salad was overflowing with fresh vegetables, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, mortadella, and green olives. The medium could serve 4 as sides or 2 as main dishes... That's how big this salad is! The Supreme Pizza was loaded with all sorts of toppings that covered every ounce of the pizza except the crust. It was delicious! The fact that the pizza wasn't greasy made this thick crusted pie one of the better ones out there... However, the Meatball Sub was a little dry. It would have been nice to have some more marinara sauce on the sub, or they could have included a side of marinara. Either way, this was the only reason that they didn't get 5 stars. The Meatball Sub definitely needs a little bit more pizzazz in order to live up to the status of the Antipasto Salad & Supreme Pizza. The best part of the meal was the amazing Tiramisu! I LOVE Little Sam's! The food is always good, the owners are very wholesome and decent people who seem to like their job. My friend was out from Texas the other day and I picked up a couple of pizzas, he LOVED the pizza. He said that he can't get pizza like that in Texas. Good pizza but lacks customer service. Never been treated so rudely. The guys literally threw my pizza across the table and said "here ya go," turned around and walked aways. So some time has passed.. I realized that I was just a little too harsh on my Criticism of little Sam's pizza. I think from now on that I will wait until the following day till I post anything posituve or negative about any particular establishment to give me time to understand exactly what it is I'm trying to say about their products or food. I just got my order from here, owner is rude. Places is not clean. You can't even know if the place open or not because they don't have any responsibilities about job. They don't even turn on 'open' sign. By saying that I'm pointing about poor management. Following that their pizza is terrible. Dare I say best pizza in town? Why yes, yes I will! I've been trying out a bunch of local pizza joints since moving to the area and I finally found my spot. The crust was cooked to perfection and the pizza was not overly greasy like most spots. You can tell the owner takes pride in his business by the way he's running the place. I walked in and did take out (which is the best option) and while it was packed at full capacity it seemed like, our food was ready within 30 minutes. Woohooo Usually go to Mesa because of the prices. This spot has wasaayyyyy better pizza. It's floppy. It's cheesy and made fresh. Ingredients are spot on. They also have other things. Their tenders are small and definitely frozen. The poppers might be frozen but they were delicious where ever they got them. The pizza price is expensive. Large is 16-18 but each topping is 2.75. Ordered two pizzas for a coworker's birthday lunch at our office and they were ok at best. We ordered a pepperoni and breadsticks combo (and did not receive the breadsticks) and the pizza was nothing special. We also ordered a delicious sounding veggie pizza (specifically chosen by the bday girl) which we also did not get, but got a plain cheese instead. It was greasy and chewy and absolutely not worth the $25 we were charged.The lesson is 100% double check your order before leaving (which is obviously just a good rule of thumb anywhere). Just extra frustrating because the little printed receipt attached to my boxes has everything highlighted and checked as if it was all there. Bday girl was a champ about it (at least the wrong pizza was a vegetarian one so she could even have some). Also I know I scheduled our pickup for lunch hour so they were clearly really busy, but I had to wait a good amount of time for anyone to help me at the counter. I'm not a stranger to this place since I grew up in Serra Mesa but I've only eaten here a few times (I can count on one hand), but it's still really sad that I'm only giving this place 2 stars. My most recent visit was fueled by my boyfriend's craving for pizza. He was impressed with Little Sam's last time we ordered so I figured that this time around it would be just as good as the last... I WAS WRONG!!!! I called in our order for pick up, which was the Master Piece pizza and a side of onion rings. I repeated my order twice because the man on the phone that took my order thought it was something else. He said 15 minutes until the order is ready. I think, "Great, that's a reasonable time!" We get there a little after 15 minutes later only to find out that they got my order incorrect even though I emphasized it over the phone... Instead of MASTER PIECE, they made a CHEESE?!?! At that point, I wasn't hungry anymore. They said 10 minutes to wait to make the pizza I actually ordered... except, it wasn't a 10 minute wait but was more of a 20 minute wait. So instead of my pizza taking 15 minutes, the whole ordeal turned into more than half an hour that I can't get back. After pouting inside the restaurant, the pizza finally is ready. I don't hear an apology throughout this entire thing, either. We get home, the pizza is surprisingly good but the onion rings were just disappointing... They were slightly burnt, which made them taste bitter, and were not crispy. So, to sum this whole experience up: Food: 3/5 Service: 2/5 Price: Too expensive for the disheartening experience that I had to go through. One can say I'm an overacting princess, but the lack of any semblance of an apology to a customer really was just the cherry on top for me. My coworker and I always order from this place when we're craving pizza. We've ordered through doordash and did the 2 medium pizza (2 toppings) and 2 liter soda combo. I got heckled by this guy right outside as I was carrying my food to my car and it didn't feel like the safest place.
