If I could I would give this company zero stars! Never in my life have I had such horrible customer service and blatant discrimination. Driver Wally was completely unprofessional. Once he saw that we were black he drove off while we were gathering our belongings to come on the bus. He left with no notice and did not answer ANY of our phone calls when we were trying to figure out why he disappeared. Horrible company... No remorse or additional accommodations made to make up for their drivers unprofessional decision. Stay away from them!! Even aside from the discrimination....this company is extremely unprofessional and will cancel your reservation at the last minute with no options to resolve the situation for an unhappy customer. read more

Once this company's driver came to my "black" area he automatically assumed that the sound of local fireworks were gunshots! Given this, while we were in the house gathering our belongings he left us! Never at ANY point did he call to inform us that he was leaving nor did he answer our many phone calls thereafter.  2. The company showed no remorse and provided Zero alternatives.  When I spoke to cloud 9 and questioned the decisions of the driver I was told they "could not force their driver to come back" they also said he felt unsafe in this "neighborhood". When I demanded that a resolution be provided I was told there was nothing they could do because it was a busy night and that they have no other drivers.  3. Company would not accept our alternatives.  Despite our significant inconvenience my guests and I were willing to go to another location that made the driver feel more "comfortable". Even that attempt to resolve the situation was denied as the driver felt there would be too much "tension" (whatever that means). Despite our many attempts to resolve the situation...each proposal was denied. Beyond that...why am I the customer having to come up with alternatives as opposed to the company??? Just ridiculous!  Lastly, the representative at the dispatch center (Max) was rude and unhelpful. I explained that over 30 guests had traveled to Chicago for this occasion he replies that he "didn't know what to tell me".  Stay far away from this company!! Despite the obvious discriminatory treatment, this is a company that will bail on their customer at the last minute, have no alternatives to accommodate and not even have the decency to call you and explain what the hell is going on. They will just disappear and not think twice about it. read more

My husband and I hired Chicago Cloud 9 Limo for our October wedding in Chicago. We could not be any happier. Communication was great from the beginning, booking could not have been any easier. Max was a pleasure to work with. We chose a party bus to take our wedding party of about 26 people around the city for pictures. The bus driver arrived at our hotel early, and waited patiently while we finished getting ready. We had a list of a few places we wanted to go, and our driver got us there in a safe and timely manner. The bus itself was great; we had some glitches with the Bluetooth, however there was an aux cord so we could listen to our playlist. We really didn't want a bus with a pole, and this was one of the few companies without one in their bus. We had plenty of room for everyone. We couldn't recommend Chicago Cloud 9 enough, they were fantastic! read more

BUYER BEWARE. My boyfriend's brother used this company yesterday for his wedding. My boyfriend forgot a gift on the party bus from their dad that contained a significant amount of money. He remembered that it was left on the party bus less than half an hour after they were dropped off at the wedding. This company was completely uncooperative after numerous calls back and forth with the dispatcher. Their stories kept changing on what happened to the money, first it was "thrown in the trash", then it was "left on the curb." When my boyfriend requested the driver's name the dispatcher claimed not to know it. How is that possible as a dispatcher? It's absolutely despicable what this company has done, turning my boyfriend's evening into a sour one at what's supposed to be the happiest night of his brother's life. We will be contacting the BBB on this matter and are looking into getting camera surveillance from that night. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Dishonest practices. read more

As seasoned business travelers we expect a certain level of professional when hiring highly rated Yelp providers. We hired Cloud 9 Limousine service to pick us up today at 11am and take us to O'Hare. Knowing the marathon was winding down we SPECIFICALLY stayed in a hotel outside of any marathon street closures. At 11am the dispatcher from Cloud 9 Limousine called to say he was CANCELLING our pick up due to the marathon. We booked the pickup over a week ago and expressed our concern about being left high and dry 2 years ago. We were assured that It would not be a problem and that the car would be there before 11am just to make sure. My husband explained this to the C9L dispatcher who said to grab a taxi outside the hotel. There were NO taxi drivers to be found. The dispatcher yelled at my husband and said it was not his fault that the marathon was happening and maybe we should have taken a later flight. He then HUNG UP on my husband. This is not how a professional company should be run. Given the fact we had discussed this prior to making the reservation- appropriate plans should have been made. Apparently we are gluttons for punishment as 2 years ago we asked them to pick us up at the same time from a hotel (unbeknownst to us -to be inside the marathon loop.). They did the same thing 2 years ago and suggested we stay at a hotel outside of the marathon loop - we did and they STILL SCREWED UP. FYI I am new to Yelp but have been a senior contributor on Trip Advisor for the past 9 years. This is probably the 4th negative review I have ever posted anywhere. I highly recommend Cloud 9 for your limo needs. The communication was great and easy booking. The party bus was extremely clean, awesome music capabilities, and was the perfect size for our group of 18. The driver was very prompt and professional. They do point-to-point service and that's what I needed for the night. The prices are by far the best around. WARNING-there is a new ordinance in the city of Chicago that does not allow you to bring alcohol on any limo without the limo company hiring a security guard for the trip. The security guard fee was not astronomical and I was willing to pay it in order for us to continue the party. Make sure you communicate with the company that you in fact want to bring alcohol on the bus. They will take care of booking the security guard. My wedding was October 2016 I called and ordered a party bus. When the bus arrived the day of the wedding and I went into the bus for the first time the seats were ripped and had duct tape on them!!! I was extremely embarrassed but had no choice but to use the bus. Had I known the bus was in that condition I would have never put a deposit or have booked the bus. The driver was very friendly and on time but buses condition was poor. I wrote an email expressing how I felt about everything and never received a email back!! My wedding was just a few weeks ago. I used this service and I will say they were on time getting to my house but everything after that isn't good. After our ceremony we got on the bus to head towards a location where we were going to take photos before our reception. We were never able to capture ANY photos bc our driver took us to the wrong location and by the time we go to the right location it was closed! The address was provided to him which I'm not sure whether it was right or wrong but the bus driver never verified address. So I can't fault him too much for this. The entire bus ride (about an hour and a half) we had no music, no lights and no tvs because they weren't working. When the music did work it was nothing but static. We.mentioned this to the driver multiple time and he didn't help at all. Of course he couldn't while the bus was going BUT when we stopped at the WRONG location for pictures he never got on to try and resolve this. I called the office about this multiple times after our wedding and was told that everything on the bus worked (like we imagined a malfunction) and that no one spoke to the driver about it. FALSE!!! I was then told that our entire bus ride was recorded (which I'd assume should have been disclosed beforehand) and that they would check to see if we'd ever mentioned the malfunction to the driver and they would call us back. I called twice and still have no received and feedback. I wanted to resolve this issue and was more so just looking for an apology which I never received but instead was told "If your ride was so bad why did you tip your driver." The driver was tipped by the best man (he wasn't supposed to do that) and we were unaware of it. Also worth mentioning, the driver never got out to help us out of the vehicle. My parents booked us a round trip ride to and from Midway Airport. The pickup went seamlessly. The driver was prompt, courteous and safe. For our pick up we received the email 1 hour prior telling us our driver and her contact info. We got to the limo pick up area 1 minute before we were to be picked up. I texted our driver to let her know we were out there and where we were located. I didn't hear back for 5 minutes so my husband called the number given when you can't get in touch with your driver. The guy, Mike, said she was 40 minutes away. We didn't want to wait and would only offer a refund of the charges. I then got on the phone and said that we wanted that refund and for our cab to be paid for the inconvenience. Mike said that they were short drivers and flights were delayed and he would only credit us for the $102 trip. I said this was terrible customer service and why were these mishaps our fault? Why were we standing there when he knew she was at least 40 minutes away? Why didn't we get a text or email to indicate this? Why did we have to follow up? He said he wouldn't give us money towards the cab and if we wanted to wait for her to get there he would give us 1/2 off. It was almost midnight and we wanted to get home. I again said what terrible service this was and to refund me the $102. Not having done anything like this before (we normally drive but my parents wanted to treat us) we went to the taxi stand and got a cab. It ended up costing us more that the limo would have!! Do not book with this company unless you're ok hoping they show up to take you home. Very frustrating and terrible customer service. Didn't care that we were being inconvenienced! read more

We contracted with Cloud9 Limousine to transport our daughter and 17 of her classmates to prom. We paid the driver the balance of the contract in full on the day of prom.Things started out well, until I received a call from dispatch saying we were going to be charged $90 because our students are late. I called our daughter, her and her friends were searching for their bus/limo but did not see him anywhere. So I did a 3 way call between my daughter and the driver and we found out the driver parked on the (wrong) other side of Navy Pier where there were no students. This was a prom attended by over 800 students and there were rows of limousines and buses, yet the driver did not get a clue that he was in the wrong spot. I tried explaining this to the dispatcher who was very rude, disrespectful and yelling at me to the point I hung up the phone. This is 2:30 am in the morning. I was told by the dispatcher that unless I drive to Navy Pier and give their driver $90 dollars they will leave my daughter and her friends at Navy Pier. I was close to tears and stunned. I have never been spoken to that way by a service provider and threatened of such. I spoke to the driver and told him of the dispatcher behavior and asked him to help resolve this and to get our kids home. After about 30 minutes of staying on the phone with my daughter (make sure they were ok) and going back and forth with the driver and dispatcher, they finally started to bring our children home. The next day I found out Cloud9 charged my credit card for $90. In our contract there is no verbiage concerning lateness or late fees. Not to mention it wasn't our students fault for the delay. I really question if this is a normal practice of Cloud9 to swindle additional money out of their customers. I'm an event planner and never experienced such treacherous behavior from a limousine company. I will never use them again. Cloud9 you would do better to increase your price on the front end and not try to shake down your customers on the tail end when they are in a vulnerable spot, because you are holding their children hostage. If I could I would give your service no stars. You aught to be ashamed of yourselves. read more

Was a great experience! Had a group picked up and taken to Laguinitas Brewery an then taken back home later in the day and using the party bus let us keep having a good time on our way there and back. Was really comfortable seating (we had 16 people), had an on board cooler with ice, and were able to listen to music on our phones via the buses sound system. Super nice drivers and easy to book! Will definitely use again for future events! read more

We used Cloud 9 for our wedding and it wasnt the best. We had gotten the VIP package, 2 stretch limos, and a party bus. The communication with Max was great leading up to the wedding and we got upgraded to a party bus instead of a stretch limo the day before. Although, the party bus was 25 minutes late picking up me (the bride) and my bridesmaids for the ceremony!!!!!!!! We ended up being 30 minutes late to the wedding ceremony with a church full of guests. Obviously I was not thrilled but I rolled with it. When we got onto the bus, the music was not working. We sat in silence on the way to my wedding. When the ceremony was over, we had the whole bridal party get on the same bus to head to the reception. The music was then working which was a huge relief. On our way to the reception, the driver made a fast stop which caused some members of our bridal party to literally fall and roll down the aisle to the front of the bus. We did get a complimentary stretch limo to our hotel after the reception which was nice. Would I recommend Cloud 9? To be honest probably not read more

To all my Chicagoland friends, BEWARE! Do NOT use this limo company for ANY REASON! I'm a weekly traveler to O'Hare for work and would never recommend Cloud 9 Limos for your limo needs. Horrible drivers, poor dispatching staff, and even worse customer service. They no-showed me this morning to go to O'Hare for work at 6:00am when I was supposed to be picked up, my driver called me and said "sorry I won't make it" at 6:00am when I was supposed to be picked up at that time! I had another driver late 2015 from the same company who lied to her company that she showed up to pick me up when she never showed up and told me she would pay me cash so she wouldn't lose her job. I scrambled to get an Uber both times, and today was the last straw. There have been other occurrences but I'll leave it at this: find someone else to use for your limo needs. read more
