    The nail inspo I presented
    Ciah H.

Pros: clean, ambient environment, talented nail techs, offered earlier appointment time Cons: expensive, doesn't feel friendly/welcoming, owner is a bit rude I'm only writIng this review because this was my second time going & it felt just like my first experience, which wasn't good. I decided to give CNP a second chance since it's Latina & Woman-owned, which are two things I value. I made a same day appointment over the phone, which was cool. My appointment was scheduled at 4 & I arrived around 4:02. Upon walking in, I wasn't greeted by a single person. Most didn't even look up to acknowledge me, which felt invalidating. When the owner (Esme I believe) emerged, she very dryly greeted me and asked what my services were. I told her and she started naming off prices, which I didn't ask for. I'd done my research and had been a previous customer, so I knew what I was expected to pay. When I asked her about the nail design (which wasn't complex at all), she gave me an estimate of an additional $60 for the nail design I requested. When I asked her why, she chuckled & responded in a sarcastic way, which I didn't appreciate. Whatevs. She then passed me off to another nail tech (who's phenomenal btw!) and went back to her client (with whom she changed her entire tone for). My actual service was great. My nail tech was Kelis, who did such a beautiful job on my nails (would highly recommend!!!) Unfortunately, that isn't enough for me to want to return after having 2 not-so-good experiences in a row. One thing I really stand strong on is good customer service, especially when providing a service that's intended to make others feel good & confident. I'm hoping this review encourages CNP to reconsider how they interact with all of their customers and not just their clients.

    Glazed Donut Gel-X Nail Extensions
    Michele B.

I literally drive from the Northshore to come to this Rogers Park Nail Salon! The sisters who own this salon are great! I see Esme for my Gel-X nail extensions. She does an amazing job. My extensions last me close to a months time. For u die hard acrylic girls they also offer that service as well. The nails are available in all shapes & sizes. From square, stiletto, coffin & more. The sisters are well versed in what is currently trending out there. My nails today are a fine example. The famous "Glazed Donut" by Hailey Bieber is so fun. Pedicures and Hair services are also available as well. And what's easier than booking online? Be sure to download Vagaro app and book all services there. Be sure to also check out their Instagram & FB pages for any inspiration you might be looking for your visit! What I enjoy most about this salon is the friendly staff, the customer. service & it's quiet! Half the time I go to a salon and someone is always talking on their phone. I will follow people for great service. These girls do not disappoint. If you're in the Rogers Park area or even a quick ride from Evanston, YOU NEED to check this place out. Tell Esme I sent you.

    My amazing acrylic gel x!
    Emilia D.

So glad I found Chicago Nail Pro! I was coming into town for a week but hadn't been able to see my usual nail folks, so I booked an appt with Lizette for Gel-X over acrylics. This shop is super clean, the techs are nice and professional---I mean, she crushed it. I wish I could go there every month but that's a long flight!

Prices displayed on website that are inaccurate

Let me start off by saying that this review has nothing to do with the quality of my nails. I am very satisfied with my gel x set and they are beautiful. However, the prices listed on this business's website are deceitful. When I booked my appointment (a very simple set) I requested a short gel x full set with French tip. After booking the appointment my total was presented at $55 for which I paid an $11 deposit, leaving my remaining balance at $44. This price was stated after booking my appointment and paying this deposit. Firstly, my nail technician did not say a word to me the entire appointment. It was pretty awkward and uncomfortable for me. Secondly, while filing my nails, the tech filed my pinky very hard and left a very deep cut that is still burning. After my service I was expecting to pay the remaining balance I was presented on the website ($44), however I was told that I owe $89 after my deposit ($100). My issue is not the price but the fact that I was not aware of this price. Like most people I don't enjoy my money being played with. If they are going to be charging extra it needs to be updated on their website.

Never thought I'd get gaslit and blocked on Instagram by a business after being a client for two years. I will say, I only went for special occasions, so maybe 4/5 times a year, but in the beginning I was very happy with the service I got, and how I was educated. I even recommended this place to a couple of their clients, but now apparently I'm not a good enough customer. I tried reaching out to them so I could figure out if they were OK, if something had happened, or if there was anything I did and they ignored my calls, ignored my messages, blocked me on Instagram and I had no idea what I had done. Come to find out from a client of theirs that I was "playing them" because I had gone back three times in the two years to get a nail redone due to it not sustaining its quality for more than a day. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement, it's insulting, and a really snobby way to run a business. If they would've told me that they needed me to pay for the repairs I would've been more than happy and understanding of it (even though I had to go back. Not a inconvenience at all ), but the communication at this place is not good and like other reviews have said they are not very personable and they don't talk to you even when you try to make conversation. This place had promise, but unfortunately due to potentially getting a big head as they were expanding due to getting a few more clients they got too big for their bridges, and now can block and deny customers service because they want the quality service that they paid for. Additionally, don't rely on their website policies because even though it says there is a five day guarantee, they don't obviously stay true to that. I wish them well, but if you speak up about your nails and getting what you paid for, don't go to this place because you'll likely get blocked and have your character judged. I've included a picture of their current guarantee policy, but just warning you, if you try to go by their policies, they may not allow you to come back. Let's hope they can reevaluate their policies and attitude. I'll be happy to go to a salon that embraces feedback and people that speak up about quality and desires to get better.

When I arrived I specifically asked for a "French no chip mani" lady asked me like 30 questions before proceeding to do the job and I was very clear explaining what I wanted. Through out the entire visit as soon as she started applying the color I had asked for she kept complaining that "the job seemed to be easy, but it is not". I totally understand the job wasn't easy and that is the reason why I pay for someone to do it for me. I pay from my pocket I don't expect for it to be FREE. She kept making mess herself and painting her own finger tips and she did once on the center of my nail. She kept complaining over and over again that the color was too messy and talking to her colleagues next to her in her language and I can almost guarantee that she was talking about my nails since the guy was too obvious staring at my nails. Please note that I had in mind that I was going to pay over $60 since I know this is what they normally charge in other places and I did not care about it as long as I received the service I wanted it and that I like and on top of that I normally leave a tip which is over the % they normally tip them. She did not do what I had asked for and only she only applied once coat on each finger. She made me put my right hand once because she kept messing up. When she "finished" she asked me "if I like" my mistake was saying yes since she already looked exhausted and upset and I didn't know that they only require cash tips. As soon as I told her that I was leaving tip on the card with the front person she immediately said "only cash" and I said to her I didn't have any cash and she immediately said "Zelle, you have it" I said yes to her and I proceeded sending her the tip I should her I had already send it to her and saw the amount which was $15 her face expression changed instantly not sure if she was ashamed of the actions and complaining throughout, but she even grab my hand as a form gratitude I am assuming. As I proceeded to pay the front desk immediately ask me for Zelle also and charged me $70 which I did not care because I know that was a "hard work". As I am in the car I checked them again and you can see the spots and the edges not fully covered. This is the very first time I come to a place where they only do I coat and specifically for a dark color (black) I am very dissatisfied and disappointed. I am also sure that in a couple days the color will start fading away. But will definitely not recommend and never commit back!

(We were lucky to get in last minute with a major football game falling at the same time as our appointment). The interior of the nail salon is so calming, love the soft lighting, the pleasant background music on, TV with close captioned Golden Girls going and bohemian interior with its crystal chandeliers, Moroccan stencils on one window, subway tile on a wall, and French chic pieces throughout. You don't feel like you're in a nail salon. Estella and Michelle did our honey and milk spa pedicures (the upgrade was worth it) and regular manicures. Both were great and our paws and hands feel so much better as a result. I wish this salon existed back home... I love the little touches as well on how this salon supports good causes and takes the longer route to remove gel versus electric filing which always feels like it damages the top of my nail. Really great business and looking forward to return visits!

It's also less expensive than other places I've been to. However, I came for a no-chip mani and regular pedi, and it took over 2 hours, and the no-chip chipped the next day on one finger. I've been to other nail salons for the same service and it took half the time and did not chip. I wish them well but don't think I'll be back.

I ended up getting my proposal and engagement party nails by her so I had to come get my wedding nails done by her as well. She did not disappoint! TLDR: DO NOT COME HERE FOR DAZZLE DRY, spend your money elsewhere!…read more I booked an appointment here for dazzle dry manicure and pedicure, about $15 above the average price in the area. When I arrived, I saw to my dismay they had a much more limited array of dazzle dry colors, so I had to compromise on a toe color that was an off red when I wanted a more classic red. It was hard to tell though how off, as the space was dimly lit with blue white light that made it hard to picture what it would look like in sunlight. I unfortunately do not know the name of my nail technician, as on the reservation it said a female name but he was a man. My pedicure and manicure ended up being much faster than at other places, and as he started my left hand a female technician came up and started chatting and they just continued to talk the rest of my appointment. My manicure was a light color and I was outside I realized the thumb was not only very clearly not even layers, but it also had ripples. I unfortunately did not take a picture, but by the time I was able to come back five hours later I also realized there was multiple pin prick holes on my left hand nails; which means he likely did not know how to apply dazzle dry and put the layers on too thick and without drying, which already did not look great and also meant they were likely to chip further within a couple days. When I came back and asked them to redo the hand, they insisted I be seen by the same man as before despite me asking for someone more experienced with dazzle dry. He redid my thumb but refused to redo the other nails with holes other than to put clear. While the thumb looked better, it still had either a crack or a dark hair or something and still wasn't even. At this point I asked if they could just refund me the $20 for dazzle dry as I was going to need to repaint it soon but respected they had done the rest of the manicure/pedicure and they said absolutely no refunds. They finally gave me someone else who actually did fix it, but this meant my second trip took forty minutes, which was really upsetting because I had paid for dazzle dry as I was busy and wanted something that would dry fast and last a longer time. I have attached photos of fingers after the SECOND ATTEMPT. He also did not file my big toes evenly, they still had bumpy edges.
