    If I could give this place a negative 1, I would happily do it. My family and I took the "LUXURY" Mercedes Benz Road Cruiser on the road last week, and it was ABSOLUTELY horrible. On the day of pick up, I arrived at this place at 7:45 (15 minutes before the opening time). I had to call the office to see if anybody was there, but there was no pick-up the first few calls. The guys didn't get there until 8:20 AM, and we weren't greeted by a Good Morning or anything! Only one of the passenger sliding doors work. You couldn't let the blinds down to cover the sunlight! Armrests were broken! The SEATBELTS were stuck and wouldn't come out, so thank God we weren't in an accident because if so would be badly injured! The coolant light stayed the whole trip. To top off the cake, you hit a bump in the road, and your seats recline on their own. Ask me if we were accommodated after calling to complain....

    We were so lucky to find a van rental for our party of 10 through Chicago Van Rentals in mid July for a family trip coming up in late August. We were called today...four days before our trip to let us know they could not accommodate our van request, even though they took a deposit to guarantee our rental. They did offer me a much more expensive rental however to compensate for this. How thoughtful. I don't know why exactly, but i thought to myself...let me go to their website and see what they have to offer. To my utter shock and amazement, I found that they were still offering the same rental van i had a reservation for, but now for $151 MORE than the price when i reserved it. I'm so confused? I thought you didn't HAVE the van we were requesting. That they weren't available? But yet, you are advertising them on your website for rent for the same time period as my original reservation? WEIRD. Sounds to me like someone didn't want to honor their obligation and rate. I'm awaiting my refund for my deposit now and desperately searching for a replacement van now. This has been a rough year and we just wanted to enjoy a nice vacation we've been looking forward to for months. Now we are left stressed out and disgusted by the business practices of this company. Shame on you.

    Floor burned from underneath the vehicle.

    Where's the option for less than one star? This company is horrible to do business with. We rented a 12 passenger Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van. The sliding door did not operate our entire trip, and the operators of this company knew it! On our return trip the floor of the van got so hot that it melted the sole of my daughter's shoes. During one of our rest stops we discovered that the floor was actually burning from underneath the vehicle. When we returned the van the Manager, Joji Abraham, insisted "there's nothing we can do for you". But, he knew the reason that the floor was so hot. From his own mouth he said "We'll have to take it to Mercedes for them to replace the heat shield." Like, what?! You knew the hear shield was missing and you rented this death trap, anyway? I don't recommend anyone rent from this company. Customer service comes last in their book. They don't take responsibility for their product. They only care about the money. They had the audacity to even bill us for mileage after we returned the van. I never look for shortcuts or ways out of an agreement. In this case, the least this company could have done was offer us a refund of some kind, as a courtesy. Instead, they said "There's nothing we can do." This is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, this Enterprise Rent-A-Car booking experience fell short of expectations. The Issue: I paid extra for seats that appeared to offer a better arrangement during booking. However, upon boarding, the actual layout differed from what was displayed at purchase. Comfort Levels: My assigned seat lacked adequate cushioning, forcing me to rely on extra pillows and blankets for lower back support. For longer journeys, this level of discomfort significantly impacts the passenger experience. 2. Frustrating Customer Service Loop The support process was highly repetitive and inefficient: Detroit Agent: Contacted initially for flight details and aircraft information. Chicago Department: Transferred here, only to be told they couldn't assist and given a new number. Redirection: The next representative redirected me right back to the original Detroit contact. Result: Only after multiple calls and repeating the same explanation did an agent finally provide the requested information. 3. Cabin Environment & Cleanliness The Positives: The aircraft itself was attractive, well-maintained, and the cabin crew was hardworking and professional despite a busy flight. The Negatives: The environment deteriorated as the flight progressed. Several passengers were noisy, and the lavatories became untidy within a few hours, with wet floors and messy sinks. Final Verdict While the cabin crew deserves recognition for their hard work, the inconsistent customer service, uncomfortable seating, and poor cabin upkeep overshadowed the positives. I will strongly compare alternatives before using Enterprise Rent-A-Car for a similar trip in the future.

After reading previous reviews, I was concerned about poor customer service. I'm happy to report that both pick up and drop off the customer service was excellent. I arrived about 10 minutes before they opened on Sunday. There was one staff member already in the parking lot reviewing their reservations of the day. At promptly 10 am, I walked inside and was greeted immediately. A few more customers walked inside after me. I was checked out in about 10 minutes or less. The copy of the rental agreement was emailed to me. This location does keep a hold on your credit card. (Which is explained at check out) The only reason for not a perfect score. The car I was given was about 4 years old, with 60,000 miles, and plenty of scratches on the outside. It did meet my needs for great gas mileage on a work trip. When I returned the car, it was a quick process. If I had to rent again on a Sunday, I would return to this location.

During the car pickup, the very quick inspection (in the rain) noted a couple little dents on the side and rear of the car where the paint had chipped. I have my own insurance on my car, but rented a car to avoid putting miles on it. Therefore I didn't use the insurance they offered. That is where the scam begins. Upon returning the car today, they claimed that I must have driven through a hail storm. I had not. In fact, the areas where I drove through and visited did not receive ANY hail. The "dents" which are barely visible to the eye were caused by "very small hail that I may not have noticed" per the manager of the car rental place. That makes no sense as the hail was supposedly large enough to cause "damage" (see pictures of the car) but not enough that I could ever hear it? He then claimed that southwest Michigan and Indiana received hail on the days I had the car. Small problem... I was not in the parts of Michigan and Indiana that received hail at the time the hail was falling. I parked the car next to my car in Chicago which has no hail damage so it didn't happen there. I drove to my mother's house and parked the car next to my sister's car which has no hail damage. It must have been in the most isolated hail storm ever (as in only hit this one car and nothing near it; also no hail damage to any of the windows). I really wish I had read the reviews on this place before renting from them. The place is a total scam and I'm sure he pulls this same thing on most people who don't buy their insurance. Gave it a few squirts of febreeze and returned it. Because they it smelled like febreeze the claimed I was smoking and added an extra $250 on trumped up charges. Prior to the incident, never asked for a license or proof of insurance until they tried to make a claim from my insurance. Seems shady. The behavior and attitude of the people who work there was horrendous. Racist and condensation. Avoid at all cost.

The door handle fell off in my hand and the cargo van was not maintained and was dangerous to drive. I voiced these concerns to the manager, Alex and told him the tire light was on and was assured it was checked and it would "go off" once I started driving which it did not for the duration of my trip. The transmission kept slipping, the whole van shook, and the oil change sticker from their company was over 10,000 miles overdue. I was told they did not have another truck. I called customer service and they were no help--told me I had to work with the location. I explained to the location manager Alex, who was worthless that the van was unsafe and was told that it was fine and I didn't break down in the middle of nowhere so it was not an issue. I guess you have to sustain an injury or be stranded somewhere for Budget to care. You have one job Budget--to rent safe vehicles and you failed. Was not interested in any service recovery and proceeded to charge my card $500 over the quoted rate. Can't believe this location is still in business. They could care less about their customers and their safety. If you value your safety, take your business elsewhere.

    three stars for effort and a story that ends well, but if it hadn't, it would barely make 2…read more so we arrived at O'Hare after a long journey of more than 25h, with an email indicating fully-paid booking of a SUV for our time in the windy and dairy cities of the US of A. a shuttle to the pick-up centre, and we arrived at an old office with just enough air-conditioning to keep the heat at a doze-inducing but not uncomfortable temperature. but one-point-five hours of sitting (pity those who were later than us and didn't get seats) and all we were told was that they had no car for us, and we would have to wait a night before going the next day to hopefully pick up a car. but, I have an Asian mother who certainly represents the best of the Tiger breed, and she negotiated (or battered, depending on which side you're on) until the manager went next door to Hertz and got us a car at their own expense. and I know it was definitely more than we had paid for dollar, which was really quite good value. we definitely weren't the only ones there with this issue - I heard at least two more families with the same issue (what else to do but eavesdrop when there's no wifi), and this was in a space of 4-5hours. after dealing with my mother, the lady at the counter (and it must be said that she and the manager provided decent service in dealing with the mix-up) said "hallelujah, she's leaving!" - and yes, after nearly 5 hours, we finally managed to.

When I returned my rental after having it for about a month, and once my van was repaired, about a month later I begin getting four emails from enterprise for Citation Charge for Tollways TOTALING ME OVER $70!!!!!!!!!!! I then call the number on the citation charge claiming that I added the vehicle to my IPass account as told by enterprise and that I am not supposed to be receiving these citations, all they tell me to do is send them screen shots of my IPass account and Vehicle History Record... which I did. As they are looking into my situation right now, I personally feel like I am being taken advantage of! I would make this 0 stars.
