The food is delicious and our server Taylor was fabulous! Many items to choose from on the menu so there's something for everyone.

My husband and I have eaten at Ivy's about 6 or 7 times now, with stellar customer service and delicious food received at every visit. The steak, fish, pasta dish's have always been on point. The salads are ok, but a salad is a salad is a salad at some point. They have a decent choice of wines and a full bar. Reservation are recommended, but not absolutely necessary; often they can work in walk in customers. I can't attest to the desserts because I've always been so full, with leftovers for the next day...... that ordering dessert has never been needed. Parking is on the street in front of the restaurant. It can be difficult at lunch time, but by dinner time the other stores have closed, leaving plenty of parking spaces. Enjoy!! read more

The service is top notch, the steaks are absolute amazing. If you really like mushrooms, do not hesitate to have them on the side or on your steak. So, my first time here. The ambiance is more upscale and in the middle of rural America in a town called Robertsdale, Alabama. The birth place of the Cook fella that is running Apple computer these days. I have to say that the crab bisque was very good. I ordered the Bourbon Ribeye and just melted in my mouth. My buddy Bobby ordered the Catfish Almandine and he could net get enough of it. The service was great, prompt and always with a smile. It's an interesting place as I have passed it along hwy 59 a 1000 x's. I certainly recommend this eatery. Fine dining at an old-school small-town establishment with a New Orleans-inspired menu at half the price you might expect at one of the area's beach restaurants. This was such a charming place to celebrate an anniversary! We had our own room upstairs with a window facing the side street. They had an evening Christmas parade being set up when we arrived and so parking was challenging (we have a Texas Limousine) but we got the job done. The meals were fabulous with spot on flavors and the meat being cooked perfectly. The table raved about their bread pudding which looked fantastic, but I had to refrain to avoid the carbs. If we lived in this area it would likely be a favorite spot for special occasions. As a bonus, I had a clear view of the parade passing by on the main street out front and so I was also able to enjoy brief glimpses of the floats going by. :-) read more

We went with some friends on an early afternoon on a Friday in December. FYI - They close down the kitchen from 3-4 to give the chef a break. Our reservation was at 2, and we just had to order by 2:45. The service was ok but the waitress could have been a little more present. We had to hunt her down a couple times. They have a very large wine list. Also, there are quite a few wines by the glass. They have beer too but no liquor. We ordered off the lunch menu, and all the food was delicious. The entrees came with a very small side salad. I had the Blackened Shrimp and Eggplant. The shrimp were a large size and grilled perfectly. The eggplant was fried and nice and crisp. It was topped with a yummy Creole hollandaise sauce. My husband had the Catfish St Ives. It was fried and topped with a Shrimp and Crab sauce. He loved it. We went for a celebration supper with family and friends. Our daughter graduated from USA. Wonderful place, very nice selection and delicious food. The room was a little cold but that was a quick fix. Going back again tomorrow for my wife's birthday. You can dress up as the white linen tablecloths make it really nice. Always consistently great food. We have been going there for over 20 years and it is always fantastic. Great service, great atmosphere, and amazing food. Anything is solid, just order anything. The Most amazing appetizer is the grit cakes with walnuts, caramelized onions and bleu cheese. That is an amazing flavor combination. If you are not sure what to order, anything with St.Ives behind it is going to be fantastic. We had the Chicken Orleans most recently and it was so satisfying. I will say that on our last visit, our daughter get Shrimp Diane, which has mushrooms in it, which she does not care for. That's not their fault, that is what she wanted. When all the mushrooms were removed..: there was not that much left. More shrimp and rice would have seemed appropriate for the dish. Also, any salmon dish they have is going to be awesome as well. Iveys is a great little tucked on a side street in the little town of Robertsdale, Al. I love the linen tablecloths and napkins even at their lunch service. The menu selections are varied and although the eggplant is my favorite, this time I tried the crepes and they did not disappoint. Delicious sauce and had to bring home half of it. I've wanted to try this place for years. The service was great and the food was enjoyable as well. We both had apps - gumbo for husband and crab soup for myself. Yes to the gumbo, but wouldn't order the crab soup again. For entrees, my husband had the stuffed filet and I had the ribeye. Their veggie of the day was fresh green beans and they were very good. My husband would probably pass on the stuffing next time, and I agree. He just wasn't crazy about that part. My ribeye was very flavorful and cooked nicely. My only complaint on my dish was that the mushrooms seemed to be the canned kind. I would have expected fresh mushrooms. Overall we had a good experience. It drives me nuts that I don't keep Ivey's on my short list. I think my 1st meal here was 40+ years ago. The interior is the same - a face-lift would not hurt, but it still feels as warm an intimate as always. Service was absolutely perfect. Any waitress dealing with girls having a birthday lunch deserves a medal - and a big tip! They reserved our table and took the pics/brought that fab bread pudding with coconut with a lit candle/just a special feeling. It was needed for our 1st venture out. Everything was clean, tables distanced, etc. I love Ivey's because they treat your meal as an experience, not a calorie input stop. We received large glasses of iced water, and a basket of their yummy bread bites when we sat. Every order received a beautiful garden salad first. Most of the dressings are house-made. Not too many places do these first steps anymore... The menu will suit almost any tastes. I lean toward the seafood, but land animals are well-represented. My guests were new to Ivey's so I advised anything with their shrimp and crab sauce! We did 2 grouper, 1 eggplant. Did I say the servings are HUGE? We all left with a box - enough for another meal. I had Shrimp Diane and it was so nice and I enjoyed it very much. You need reservations and they close for an hour until 3:30 in the afternoon. The crowd starts coming in by 5:00. It's quite lovely with linen table cloths and napkins and yes it is very nice and a good secret of Robertsdale. This is The price is about what any nice restaurant would be for fine service and you can have wine and there is a small salad to come with your dinner or and with the salad you can order exactly the vegetable you want to eat separately! If you're not looking for it is can be easily passed by. From the first bite you can tell their focus is on high quality food. We started with grit cakes with blue cheese. I'm not a grit lover at all but the blue cheese topping sold me. These were amazing. Our entrees were Filet Oscar cooked MR and the Cert. Black Angus Ribeye also cooked to MR, both cooked to perfection by the way. I'm not a drinker outside of sweet tea or water but my wife did have a couple lemon drop martinis. After about 10 minutes a girl came in and welcomed us and asked how many. We told her two. And asked if there was any seating available. She mumbled and said . " I don't know mabe....." nooo. Mabe at 7 or 7:30. You wanna wait? .. my wife said well is 7 possible? She answered I don't know. Mabe... so we said never mind. And left. We felt as if we burdened her. I'm glad the majority of the reviews are positive but we did not have a fine dining experience. First of all we were seated in a large room off from the main dining area and served our drinks and a plate of dried up tasteless croutons. And it was all downhill from there. I won't go in to all the details but we arrived at 4:00pm and did not have our entrees at 5:10pm. The excuse was the oven was going out. IDK, I do know that at least 20 minutes after we ordered our entrees I heard the waitress ask another how to put this order in which was ours. Food was not bad, atmosphere was no where near fine dining. Diner grade dishes and utensils, table cloths with holes and so wrinkled they look like they had spent the night in dryer. Musty smelling. Absolutely recommend. Living outside of Atmore we tend to drive through Robertsdale to go shopping and to eat in Foley. Going home we've must have passed this play by a thousand times and always say we needed to stop here and try it out. Well, this time we were heading from Foley to Spanish Fort and we finally stopped. So glad we did! My wife got the gumbo and grouper. She said the gumbo was the best she's had. I had the pork tenderloin with a cream sauce and rice. So tender I could cut it with a fork. Finished with carrot cake... exceptional. I didn't take any photos but I wish I had.
