They had a great savory garlic-soy flavor with a nice spicy kick that wasn't overpowering. The Original Drum Box was just okay. Nothing was wrong with it, but it was lacking seasoning and tasted pretty bland. The biggest disappointment was the Honey Garlic Drum Box. It had a rancid fish taste that made it completely inedible. I think it might have been cross-contaminated with the calamari or shrimp. Chicken should not taste fishy. I'd definitely come back for the Deli Soy and Garlic Soy Wings, but I'd skip both drum boxes.

The workers were quick to answer questions, take the order and offer water while I waited for my to go order. The food, I think I would do without the ton of salad I got in my bowl next time. I think there was so much salad and not enough rice that the ratio felt off. The lamb I got was really good though. The spicy tzatziki was different but I think I prefer the traditional instead. They did not have fountain drinks. The food came out shortly. My etra hot sandwich tray was tagged as 'Hot' w/ three symbols. I asked them if that meant the sandwich was just 'Hot' and not 'Xtra Hot' and I was told that if I ordered extra hot then it meant it was extra hot. My sandwich was really delicious. The flavor was good and the texture was nice. The Xtra Hot flavor was not overwhelming but also it did not seem like the extra hot they said I should be mindful of because it was going to be very spicy. Overall, we had a decent experience. The service was okay. My original Nashville hot chicken was delicious but the Honey Butter chicken sandwich was anything but delicious. The restaurant aesthetics were decent. They have a live band performance area. It's a nice, friendly restaurant with a decent menu variety. We weren't wowed by the food but I would say that the original Nashville Hot fried chicken sandwich was worth trying.

I don't think I've ever had a better one. The 1/2 order of jambalaya also excellent and properly spiced. My grandson enjoyed his chicken strips and fries. I look forward to returning here again soon to try some other tasty options on their menu, including red beans and rice, collard greens, oxtail, etc. The owners were very nice and the food was ready for pickup right on time. There were a few people eating and someone waiting for an order to go. I asked they type of cut their fries they serve and they were the thin, crispy kind similar to McDonald's. I was like DONE, let's order a large order. As I was waiting for the fries, I notice that they had 4-Cheese Pizza Puffs - boom, ring me up as they don't have cheese ones very often. I took both for takeout. As I drove home, I could smell the fries and I couldn't wait, so I grabbed a few at a stop light, I'm sure you all have done it. When I arrived, the fries were still crisp and hot and so was the pizza puff. The fries just bring me back to living in the Northside of Chicago and walking to the a fast food joint to order fries and play video games. The pizza puff was so good! I'll be coming back often as I really liked the food and the owner was really cool.

The inside is clean but somewhat worn down, with the addition of gambling video machines in a cordoned off area nearby, always disappointing to see. As we ordered take out I will defer on service. I found $13 to be rather expensive for such food of limited quality. While there are limited pickings at this intersection, and I like to support local businesses, I was disappointed by Niki's.
