This particular restaurant seems to be taking a downhill turn in the past six months. We have been to this restaurant several times and each time we seem to have an issue.They have been serving dried up breakfast biscuits in the morning. One time we went they said they did not have any salt packets and we asked if they could loan us a salt shaker in drive-through and they said they did not have any of those either. How does a restaurant run out of salt? A week later we got there chicken strips and they ran out of Chick-fil-A sauce. My daughter and I just left. Normally I feel like Chick-fil-A always has it together and its a great experience! Unfortunately tonight was not the case which has happened at this location a couple of times before. It was super (rain) and I had to wait in the line about 20 minutes-which is understandable. When I got up to the window they told me it was going to be another 15 minute wait for the macaroni and cheese. I said I would wait. The girl brought me my food and when I asked her about the drink that came with my meal she kind of rolled her eyes. She eventually brought it to me I thanked her & drove away. When we got home I realized none of the condiments we had asked for were included. Ended up down here the other night... Rivergate is a pretty new shopping center with round-abouts galore. This location is very clean and the people working here are pretty friendly. The unique thing I saw with this location was a floating "island" where all the ketchup, napkins, straws, and anything else you need (minus the sauces) reside. There is a fairly large dinging room with fresh flowers (the happened to be daffodils) on each table that is well maintained. read more

Even with a line far out in the parking lot and car pulling in and out curbside there wasn't a long wait. I watched these guys work. They all deserve a raise. Food, as per any Chick-fil-A, was TOP NOTCH. I am not being facetious. I can't get enough Chick-fil-A. The restaurant was clean, kids play area well maintained and the staff was incredibly cordial and welcoming. Only downside was that they forgot to give a drink and an entire kids meal with our order. Today Oct 8 between 6:45-7:15 worse customer service from especially the one girl handing out order with the wig and bright lipstick. Let's talk about how she was side eying customers, had nothing but attitude and no sense of urgency. She was dragging ass!!!! When I pulled up to the window, the young girl said "Seven 0-Foe" was my total. She meant $7.04.... but Seven 0-Foe? This Chick-Fil-A is in a prime spot. It's in the Steele Creek area in front of the Target complex. There are a lot of walk-through shops in this plaza and this whole area is aesthetically pleasing. This particular Chick-fil-a has a lengthy drive-thru line, making it less crowded when you're in their long line. But you better be dedicated to the trip because once you place your order, you cannot back out of the drive-thru line. It's one lane and no exit. I'm updating my previous 2-star review to a 4-star review because my family's last 3 visits were positive. It certainly appears the service/food here has significantly improved since my initial review back in June 2019. The food has been much better overall (waffle fries are crunchy and salted vs. soggy and unseasoned). The chicken nuggets have been more consistently cooked also. Drive-thru has been efficient (20 minutes or less wait time) and hasn't been out of anything (lemonade, milkshakes, or eggs) during our more recent visits. So far, we've seen substantial improvements in the past 3-4 weeks (late Oct - Sept) and we commend the effort. I can recommend this place again without hesitation - keep up the good work. read more

Absolutely terrible. Not only did we need to sit in line for 40 minutes, our food was cold when we got it. Every time we go to the Chick-fil-a in Rivergate, it takes 30 minutes to an hour to get your food. Ridiculous. I have never been to a chick-fil-a that has taken as long as this one and I have been to some of their busiest locations, SouthPark, Concord, Gastonia, and yet this one always seems to take the longest. As the store manager of this store, I would be embarrassed to say that that is my store. In order for a team to have good results, it starts from the top and clearly this store manager has no clue what there are doing. As the district manager, you should be embarrassed as well to have a store in your district with a 2.0 rating. This is the last time I will ever come to this chick-fil-a. I'm not sure I like any fast food more than Chick-fil-A. And, I absolutely love the team at this location. When a restaurant is popular a lot of people ant to visit at all the same time. This store can get crowded. In fact, they have 2 auto lanes going at all the appropriate times, as well as the meandering walk-in line. The food, of course is awesome. They have all my favorite bites, but it's the traditional Chick-fil-A Sandwich that keeps me coming back for more. I'm also a huge fan of their fresh squeezed lemonade. It doesn't get any better than that. I usually go for the diet because the sugar in the high octane version makes me bounce off the walls. Recently they discontinued their Coleslaw. That was a huge disappointment. I used to top my sandwich with their slaw. I considered better than most homemade styles at local establishments. Fortunately they made the recipe available to the public online. Yes, I've learned to make my own. Thanks Chick-fil-A. Best bet with this store is to avoid the drive-thru and head inside. Moves quite fast and they have a very nice eating area. Use their App to order ahead if you can. Makes everything much easier. Kudos to the staff. Very helpful and always smiling. This location was great for fast service, hot food, and friendly staff. My mom, brother, and I visited around 11 am for an early lunch. We placed our order for dine-in and were served our food in less than 5 minutes. The food was hot and fresh out of the fryer, and the ice cream was cold and not at all melted. The staff were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. In conclusion, my family and I would visit this location again. read more

Just left your restaurant. TERRIBLE SERVICE! Never in my time coming here have I ever been so frustrated. We stood in line for over 10min, it was not busy, and with one person on register who was clearly new(that's not the issue). No one was in line in front of us and we still never made it to the register. Not one person acknowledged us to say "we'll be with you shortly" or anything! Not a word! About 10 employees standing around and not a single person got on register or even attempted to help. And to top it off I caught eye contact with one employee who immediately turned to another, chatted something to her, turned to look me in the eye again, to turn and giggle to the other employee. Only to have the other to turn and look at me, turn to the first and giggle some more. THEN Both turn to look right at my face to try again turn and giggle!! That cattiness is completely unprofessional and rude!!! AND I was standing in line holding my toddler who was clearly done standing in line as well. Absolute ridiculous experience! We got breakfast this morning, drove about 15 minutes back home and find out the order is completely all wrong so I call and they said no problem come back and we will fix it. So we go back explain exactly what's going on and get the items replaced. We get the items and they are still wrong!! Ordered four piece chicken strips for my six year old daughter and she started yelling for water. Looked at the receipt to find they had given me spicy chicken strips. I didn't order spicy chicken strips. I returned to have my order corrected and they tell me their store no longer offers traditional chicken strips, only spicy. I requested a refund and they declined. I'll be contacting the corporate office on Monday to file a complaint and calling AMEX to cancel the charge. read more
