First time visiting and was very surprised. I've had many chicken sandwiches in my day, especially from fast food places. This sandwich was the most tender, juicy piece of chicken I've tasted. Let's be real here, the food is like a 3-3.5*. Prices are reasonable ($11+ for 2 sandwiches and a drink), customer service is exceptional which makes CFA stand out. Both Original Chicken & Spicy Chicken sandwiches were extremely salty. Batter is not thick like KFC or McD's. You can tell that it's an actual piece of chicken that is used, as opposed to pink sludge. If possible, I think I'll ask for my bun NOT to be buttered next time - not necessary. Freshly Squeezed Lemonade (regular) was overly sweet, so I added water. I did enjoy the Iced Blended Coffee, but that was a bit sweet as well. If you dine out often, maybe you won't notice the high sodium/sugar, but it's there. I've had the Waffle Fries before and they're not extraordinary, so I didn't bother ordering a meal this time around. If you're dining in, servers will personally deliver your meal to your table! So this place was slammed at 8:30 pm on a Wednesday. I know conservative northerners got their panties in a bunch with excitement over this place but hasn't it been here long enough for them to calm down? Anyway I waited in line for 25 minutes in the drive through before my order was even taken. Waited at the order station several minutes listening to the girl on the other side have a convo with someone else. Then gave my order. She read it back. I stopped her and repeated it to make sure she didn't forget everything and she confirmed. Ten more minutes and I get to the window to pick it up. Window guy super polite. Drive 15 mins home. Missing a sandwich. Luckily I'd gotten an extra order of nuggets or one of us would not have had a meal at all. 35 minutes of waiting. Confirmed my order. Still wrong. Not worth it. My first ever visit to a Chick-Fil-a restaurant. Pretty typical fast food set up, but I was overwhelmed by the 25 people in line trailing through the entryway and into the dining room at 1:00p on a Saturday. Crowded facility was met with terrific pleasantness and efficiency. The chicken salad was truly great. Freshness of ingredients was obvious. This is the second time I have had the Chick-fil-A mac & cheese. The cheese is very good - It has a little bit of a sharp taste to it so you can taste the different cheeses there. I like the chunks of cheese that are on top as if it is homemade fresh out of the oven crust. There is a little bit of a pre-cooked noodles taste to it ... and they're a bit soft like KFC Mac and cheese but they are very good. Once the CFA madness dies down, this location will be much more appealing to visit. For now, if you need it, be patient and breathe as you approach it. We ordered online, through the app. This was a bright idea since we didn't have to take time looking at the menu, and contribute to making the line even longer. I'd encourage doing this, so you can take your time with the menu, especially. I got my usual, chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and a 3 pc chicken strips on the side. If you've never had their lemonade, try it. It's delicious. They even have a diet version. They have diet Dr. Pepper here too which is a real treat as well! It took an HOUR, yes ONE WHOLE HOUR, waiting in the drive-thru line. It looked chaotic inside too so I doubt going in would have been much better. In other locations, they typically have staff on foot, with menus, in the drive thru lanes taking orders way back to help move the line along. They didn't here, and I don't know who made that decision but they definitely needed the line staff. Would have helped move things along! Regardless, I got to eat Chick-Fil-A, in Buffalo, in the car, with my gayer than gay wife (take that!) and that all made me very happy. Let me start off by saying that I'm a native born and raised Texan, and live in the southwest and western US for part of the year, so I've had Chick-Fil-A numerous times in my life. This is moreso a review of the Cheektowaga location, the food is always amazing no matter which location you head to! As with most fast food restaurants that play their commercials in Buffalo, without said restaurant being remotely close to Buffalo, once it does open - WNY goes wild. The drive thru lines are long, 25 mins was my wait time at 8:45 pm on a Tuesday. The line to get in starts on a side road off of the already busy Walden Avenue, sometimes backing up onto Walden itself. The police have to direct traffic often, it's a bit of a mess during the day, especially the lunch and dinner times. The inside looks just as busy, but inside lines flow much easier on average than outside drive thru lanes. It also seems as if the inside is a "hang out" for local high school kids at night, wasn't the most appealing thing to want to walk in to. The Sonic on Union deals with the same issue, I just don't like having to deal with lots of yelling and screaming while I eat. Maybe it's just me. It would be useful to download the app, not only for rewards and deals, but also to be able to peruse the menu before getting up to order. I noticed a lot of people in front of me were taking a bit long deciding/ordering because they'd never seen the menu before. Please have some common courtesy for the MANY people behind you, as well as the employees. The drive thru also has 2 lanes with an ordering speaker and menu in both lanes that converges into 1 lane as you head up to the window to pay and receive food. If you ordered before the person next to you, you'd be first to go through the 2 to 1 lane split. Vice versa if the other lane ordered before you. Again, this seemed to be a bit of an issue for a few cars. It led to honking or horns and finger waving, way too far for simply ordering food. Again, it's a new restaurant that's had tons of advertising around here the last few years, and had everyone excited in anticipation. It's going to be a while before things calm down. Chick-Fil-A is doing what they can to make things as easy as possible. I got a chicken sandwich meal, and as always, the chicken, bun, and fries were great. Pretty good, overall quality was pretty standard. I love kicking back with a 40oz or a nice 4loko and munching on some fries. The chick-fil-a sauce is iconic and I think it lived up to the hype. The line is usually as long as the wait for the bathroom behind 4 old ladies who just ate a 5 course meal at Cracker Barrel, so once again pretty standard for the industry. It was My mom's 1st time ever going and she decided to take her grandkids(3,5,9) for a surprise lunch! Another customer cut her off and stole her parking space, mind you she had to control her temper/colorful language because of virgin ears in the car! I guess "The Owner" witnessed the incident and introduced himself and showed her where to park, He graciously took her order and said " I'll take care of you, you have your hands full." While visiting buffalo from Ontario, we noticed there was a ew Chick-Fil-A and decided to give it a try. The line was HUGE, I almost backed out, but it moved super quickly! This was opening week for the new Chick-fil-a in Buffalo! I had it many times going to visit family in Georgia and fell in love with it there . This review is long overdue. Let me start by saying I love this place and was very excited to see it come here locally. I am not big on chains at all, but if I am gonna eat any fast food this would be my place to go. I am giving a good review based solely on the food because everything was fresh. But the issue that was most annoying is the service. It seems they have worked out the kinks a bit. But it was pretty rough. They have the option to order through the app and then pick up at the kiosk, but apparently they stopped preparing the food as you order and require you to come in and punch in your order code and THEN the will begin to prepare your order. Well that makes getting breakfast a pain because of you place the order and miss getting there on time, then you arrive to an order being cancelled. To me it defeats the purpose in letting someone complete the order online to only not complete the order because they arrived 2 mins after breakfast shuts down. All in all they have kinks to work out. But my best advice is the actual app for preparation and orders and pick up. I see they now have the kiosk inside. The food is great from the grilled nuggets to the waffle fries. Please don't hesitate to try the lemonade. read more

It was busy, as usual, but we found parking, and didn't wait too long in line. Found a table and waited shortly for our food. It was in the wrong container so someone took a bite of the wrong sandwich, etc. We had ordered a side of fruit with the kids meal and they gave us fries. Upon requesting the fruit, the worker said "no, you ordered fries, but I will switch it out for you." We said, nope we definitely ordered fruit, and that would be great if you could. She argued with us again that we ordered fries. It was very strange and she wasn't even in the vicinity of us placing our order, and acted like she was doing us a monumental favor. We also had ordered Chick-fil-A sauce but weren't given any, so we went up to the counter and waited for ten minutes trying to ask for some, and were ignored. An important looking man was going around with an assistant interviewing people and he looked like a manager so I asked if he could help us get the sauce. He was very kind and went to the counter- and came back and said "I don't technically work here but here is the manager with some sauce." Cool, but now I'm confused at who you are. Random FYI- The garbage cans automatically swing open when you approach them however they don't open if they are full. There is a neat kids play area here. We were kind of worried that the kids would get stuck and we'd have to climb up and get them, but they found their way around and a small adult could easily maneuver through the tubes if need be. I love Chick-Fil-A and I don't usually care for fast food places at all! Chick-Fil-A is in a class of it's own with delicious food, very friendly staff, and all those amazing sauces! I don't care about their politics, it is what it is, they make great chicken and they have great food. I've traveled to Rochester, Erie PA, and way out of my way more than a few times to get Chick-Fil-A and to finally have one in my own hometown is the best. I went here today and it was INSANE. Drive thru was down the street and around the block and the line inside was snaked throughout the store. I parked across the street and walked over and waited in the line inside, and despite the craziness I got my order placed and food within fifteen minutes I was out of there. They were crazy busy but everybody had a smile and was friendly, things moved smoothly, and the food was fantastic! I got an original chicken sandwich because up until today I'd never had one (I always go for the nuggets which are amazing btw) and it too was fantastic! This is my first time having chick-fil-a and it was a great experience. I absolutely love their spicy chicken burgers and nuggets. The staff tries their best to cater to your needs and it has a totally different atmosphere than other fast food chains like Wendy's or McDonalds. Perhaps, it is just the way the corporation is set up and the employees aren't required to hit certain goals, but the cashiers don't rush your order and don't seem like they're doing 3 different things at once. The only thing I would complain about (totally not the fault of chick-fil-a and they have no control over it) is that the wait time is way too long for fast food! We found a sweet spot in timeframes, 1030-1045 that the lunch hour isn't super busy. Going beyond the first exit helped direct us to the parking lot near the hotel so we could walk in. They were using all registers which made the ordering go by quickly. I drove around 20 miles to get here, but the place was in the news several months ago about the swarms of people and lines of cars so I wanted to check it out. I got there around 6pm and there was a line of cars winding it's way around the lot to the edge of the road. I figured it'd be quicker if I went inside, which although it was packed with hungry customers, surprisingly moved quickly and I had my order in hand within 5 minutes. Wow! So I ordered the battered chicken sandwich with the best French fries I've ever had- they were cut like a checkerboard! They've got this great Polynesian sauce which I put on my sandwich and dipped my fries in it too. I think it was about $7.00 and well worth it. I'll be back even though it's out of the way! The best fast food franchise by FARRRRRR!!! The staff is very respectful and the chicken sandwiches are of great quality! I either get the spicy chicken deluxe or regular chicken deluxe. The sandwiches aren't complete without the chick- fil- a sauce! I usually ask for it with lemonade (it's freshly squeezed). It's amazing! The line is very long but it's worth the wait. You can always trust whatever it is they put in your bag. I trust the Chick-fil-A staff and if they messed up my order it's what I was destined to have (lol). Excellent service and superb food! This place is a joke! Maybe other areas have chick-fil-a's that put out quality food quickly but not this one. Two out of the last 3 times they have forgot parts of my salad. No dressings or toppings twice even though they've been ordered. The wrong style of chicken once and only half of the usual amount included in this recent salad. I will happily update my review and give them a 4 when they work out the kinks, but I'll start with the good and then explain why I had to deduct. It's a very hyped up place, and everyone is in a frenzy. I understand the excitement, and there is no more having to drive to Rochester or Erie, PA for the nearest location. It's in a decent location, once everything dies down, it should do well there. Right now it's very hectic, parking is difficult, the drive they extends out far, etc. The service as customary for the chain is fantastic. Most of the staff is helpful, patient, and polite. The food is good. It's real chicken, not the least bit grisly or fatty. The spicy chicken sandwich with the pepper jack cheese is delicious and they have some of the best sauces. They also have good chicken nuggets and tenders that you can also get grilled. Their lemonade is delicious (and I'm technically allergic to citrus). You get refills when you're sitting inside too. So on and so forth. I hear their breakfast is good too but after three failed attempts at getting at, I may never know anytime soon. Their breakfast ends at 10:30, which is rather early imo, but whatever. It's terribly inconvenient that you can mobile order breakfast BEFORE 10:30 but the order isn't actually submitted until you get to the take out order tent and check in at a kiosk. What's the point of mobile ordering if you still have to do all the extra work including wait for your food order to go in and then made? So I ordered breakfast before well before 10:30, while on my way there, but because it's so busy and there is nowhere to park, or sometimes you have to park at other locations and walk over, and then muscle your way through the crowd huddled at at the take out tent to punch your order code they give you to let you know you successfully ordered, something I ordered before 10:30 is CANCELED because even though I got there before 10:30 due to all of these factors beyond my control, I punched a code in at 10:32 and now breakfast is over. I feel like if you ordered within the time frame it should be honored. If you mobile ordered within the time frame it should be processed at the same time. I shouldn't have to check in at a kiosk before my order is processed. Otherwise, what's the purpose of mobile ordering at all? Why not have it like Panera's where you can walk in and pick up your order, no problem? So at the kiosk when your order is Canceled it tells you to go inside for more information. So now that means go inside the packed place I didn't want to go into to begin with which is why I mobile ordered in the first place. I, and someone else who experienced the same thing chose not to go inside but rather asked the woman working the kiosk what that meant and whether or not I have been charged for food I now can't receive. Thankfully, I wasn't because as I learned they don't process the order at all until check in. But the manager in the parking lot explained that better because the woman at the kiosk initially made it seem like I had to go inside and order lunch instead. I didn't want lunch, otherwise I would have ordered it. So I left hungry, annoyed, and feeling like I wasted time driving across town. I could tell I wasn't the only one who experienced this, so that is really something they need to rectify. It's terribly inconvenient and makes the mobile process pointless. Orders submitted within the time frame should be respected, it's not like the food just evaporates at 10:30 on the dot, and if people showed up expecting their food within let's say a 10-15 grace period, why not give them what they ordered instead of redirecting them to the regular menu and risk losing business if someone like myself leaves empty-handed because they didn't want lunch? read more

We stopped by on a Saturday evening. The drive thru line was probably 1-2 hours long. We decided to download the mobile app and ordered from the hotel parking lot. The food was good and what you would expect. I love being able to choose from so many different sauces. I took one star away for the service/kinks. When we ordered via mobile app, it gave us a code to type in AT the restaurant itself. We had to physically get out of the car and punch this code into an iPad outside the mobile order tent. They don't start making your food until you arrive. We had to wait outdoors for our food for 30 minutes. However, the employees themselves were super friendly and were doing the very best they could to get orders out. Well, we finally made it into Chick-Fil-A. I've never eaten at a Chick-Fil-A before, and with all the hype I've heard about this one-and-only Buffalo location, my expectations were high. On the night we went, the line was long and the dining room was pretty packed. But we lucked out to get a 4-top for our fam', and the line moved at a decent pace. My husband, daughter and I all had chicken sandwiches, our son the nuggets, and we all had waffle fries. We, (by recommendation of a friend), also got the large tub of Fil-A sauce to share as a dipping hub. I didn't realize that you got a carton of a variety of sauces, but I'm stil glad we got the extra Fil-A sauce. That was my favorite part of the meal. I'm a big fan of condiments in general, especially mustard, and the Fil-A sauce was a tangy treat. It is sort of mustard'y, but it's really its own thing. The chicken sandwiches were tasty enough, but nothing that knocked my socks off. I liked the waffle fries, but again, not anything that I'm going to go out of my way to get. The price was a bit high, almost $35 for 4 meals plus the extra sauce tub. The waffle fries could have been a more generous portion for that price, considering it is fast food. My final verdict? ... Always a long line, although customer service has been great, and never had a wrong order. Again, though the area is underserved by chick-fil-a, leading to lines down roads. read more
