I have been waiting for Holy Burger to open after hearing their menu offers so many gluten free options. Also has vegan options. Today was the day. I saw a post from a neighbor on social media, immediately called my husband and he was off to get me some gluten free chicken tenders. He said the vibes were elite, the music was thumping and the people were welcoming and friendly. My husband got a non gf double smashed onion burger. He said you could taste all thr ingredients. It was a classic example of a burger done well. He would go back too. I was given two sauces with my 6 piece. Including a big Mac type sauce and a less sweeter sauce that was more orange. I have anticipated this opening for far too long and it didnt disappoint. I have so many items to try in the coming weeks and months. I wish them much success and look forward to patronizing them a lot. I know why they are called Holy Burger. It is a religious experience. So very good!

Slider boxes, add-ons like bacon, egg, avocado, and cheese, plus beverage options - cans & bottles of pop.

First, the cons (cuz there's WAY more good than bad): yes, it's pricy, and, the menu shows things they don't offer - yet. They're new so cut 'em some slack. Maybe by spring, when the weather's warmer... Now... for the oh-so-good. Before our most recent temperature nosedive, my youngest decided he wanted burgers for dinner. We needed to get cold-weather provisions (chips & ice cream lol), so I said let's try a place new to all of us. The meat is halal - prepared in a special manner, with special equipment, which likely leads to the higher price - and it's so good. Juicy, seasoned well, a nice crispy char... I'm ready for another one! I ordered the holy burger with added pickles. I think it could have used more sauce, too, but that's ok. Next time. The oldest got a classic burger, cheese only. There were nods & thumbs up. The youngest got the slider box - 6 beef burgers, no sauce or onions. I ordered a small onion ring (super crisp!) and a small sweet potato tots (adorable and delicious). One of them came with what I think was Mambo sauce. Red, spicy, sweet, tangy - but definitely not ketchup. As I waited for my to-go order, I watched an employee slicing whole tomatoes on a deli slicer. How much fresher can you get?! We also purchased 3 milkshakes - two vanilla and one taro. The kids were goad to have tried it but also grateful for their trusty standby of vanilla. I enjoyed the exotic taste of the taro shake but I'd likely go elsewhere for a cold treat. (IYKYK)

    Forgotten the fries

Went through the drive-through and they forgot my fries! Plus took way too long of a wait for the drive-through took 20 minutes just to get my food

Courteous staff. Manager came over to talk to us after they had a little mix up with our order. They made it right, and he took the time to make sure we were good to go. That kind of attention and service goes a long way. Still a really new location and they're working out all the kinks. We'll give them another try a little later. Don't let that discourage you to try them now. Every new place has to do business to learn how to do business. Be patient. On the food side, the sweet potato tots were fantastic. Burgers were good, and they do have a lot of plant based options for the vegan crowd.

The manti stood out more for its comfort than complexity, tender dumplings, yogurt, and a clean garlic-forward profile that felt authentic, even if slightly muted on spice. The ribeye steak medallions were cooked accurately and had good texture, but they were less memorable compared to the rest of the menu. In contrast, the mixed grill platter was the strongest showing of the night, offering variety and consistent execution across different meats, which is not easy to do well. Everything was flavorful without feeling overworked. The mixed meat pide was satisfying and hearty, though on the richer side. It's filling and best approached as a shared dish rather than an add-on. Turkish tea was straightforward and comforting, doing exactly what it should after a heavy meal. Overall, Sofra delivers a traditional, well-executed Turkish dinner with generous portions and a focus on consistency rather than reinvention. Best enjoyed family-style, pacing the meal thoughtfully to fully appreciate the depth of the menu without fatigue.

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

I'd start with the atmosphere and overall first impression. The interior isn't as bright and inviting as the one on Maple Road. It's still the Water Lily Cafe, just under a different banner. This place needs to be refreshed. Another downside is that the complimentary dumplings advertised on Yelp are only for those who leave a five-star review. Really?! :) In my opinion, this fact takes one star away instantly. So we already got The Bad and The Ugly ;). The Good was the most important, the food. We really enjoyed our dishes. My partner's 'Spice Lemongrass Beef Noodle Soup' was very tasty. It wasn't heavy on lemongrass, and overly spicy, as promised. It was full of various cuts of beef, a slice of Vietnamese pork, and a good amount of thick rice noodles. The soup is served with the same garnish as for pho soup. My 'Grilled Shrimp Vermicelli Bowl' was beautifully served. All the veggies were crispy, fresh, and the noodles were nicely warm. With the splash of fish sauce everything tasted so delicious. I asked for a side of the peanut sauce and it was even tastier (thanks Jennifer). Only the shrimp could be of better quality and really, nicely grilled. I'm glad Anchi A La Carte is available in this part of town. It's a perfect place for a good meal before or after shopping, errands etc. in the area.
