Why 5 stars? Why put a Chik-Fil-A next to a Goodberry's? BECAUSE IT WAS MEANT TO BE!! Ever watched The Office? Pam once said, "...even I want some fries with that shake." *referring to an attractive girl* In this case, I wanted some fries with my chocolate vanilla swirl with peanut butter fudge drizzle, so I headed to Chik-Fil-A to grab myself a large order of waffle fries to DUNKKKKK it into my custard, and so did my girlfriend with her chocolate custard with Oreo chunks Bottom line: grab yourself a custard, BUT DON'T FORGET THE FRIES!! I swear it's meant to be like Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line ;)

A baby roach in my food.

I went to the Chick-fil-a on Roxboro rd and I found a baby roach laying dead on my chicken mini's. I ordered the 6 count combo and had already eaten 2 mini's and most of my hashbrowns before I noticed the roach. I immediately returned the remaining mini's for a refund. I politely asked to speak with the manager in private so I could show him without alarming any customers. He looked surprised and asked could he touch it...I said sure cause I'm not eating it. He asked would I like another combo or refund. I definitely don't want any more food from here but I'll take my refund. He only refunded me for the mini's and not the full meal. Smh..even though it's only a dollar difference, I wasted my time and gas coming back up here and you can't even give me my full refund after you guys messed this up. The audacity of this guy! Smh..never again! Wish I could give it negative stars.

Outside of the main building and next to the butterfly house and train depot on the museum campus you'll find this little cafe. Several types of wraps and salads are available as well as fountain drinks and treats. Bathrooms (with changing stations) are next to the cafe. However if you need to use the changing stations and can wait I would suggest the main building second floor for the large private family bathrooms. Don't expect anything exotic at the cafe but what is here is good and portions that will fill you up so you can enjoy the rest of your day at the museum. I used to consider it a bit over priced a few years ago until the rest of the world became over priced so now this is just normal priced. If there's no seating at the cafe and it's nice out there are picnic tables a bit further down to the right.

Indoor seating is closed at the moment, but there is a lot of outdoor seating at the front and side of the cafe. If those areas are full, there are picnic tables close by at the start of the Dino Trail.

As you enter there is a sign that tells you to go look at the menu board, pick out your drink, and go back to the counter to order. I grabbed a diet coke, and ordered a Common Cobb. I was a bit surprise when my total came to $18, as my salad was only $14 but I guess I should have paid attention that my bottle of soda was over $3. How much are the fountain drinks, I wonder? I found us a table inside since it was a bit hot that day (there is also plenty of seating outside AND inside if you go downstairs). The table and floor were messy but someone quickly came to clean it for me. They called our names over the loudspeaker and my best friend went to go get our food. She got the MotherClucker. Our food was REALLY good. If you like Cobb salad, you will definitely like this one. The chicken was pan seared perfectly, the vinaigrette was perfectly tangy and the bleu cheese was especially excellent. My friend's chicken sandwich has SO MUCH chicken salad on it. Impressive. There was so many neat items to see in the place. The murals were great, there were some cute retail spaces, a coffee bar up front, a bar downstairs, and ice cream outside! Unfortunately my bestie and I had too much to talk about so we didn't check it out as much as I otherwise wood. I would definitely try this place again!

They answered our questions and provided recommendations upon request. We had a large group, so it was taking a while for all of the food to be ready. I decided to just get a raspberry white chocolate scone and a greena colada so that I didn't have to wait a very long time to eat. We enjoyed sitting upstairs where we could all sit together and watch the scenery while eating. The kids loved the space, and it also provided us with some privacy for our birthday celebration. The scone was very good. I was a bit disappointed with the smoothie, though. I was expecting it to be flavorful and naturally sweet due to the mangoes and pineapple as well as the honey that was supposed to be added, but it was quite bland and not flavorful at all. Everyone else seemed to have enjoyed their food.

The time was supposed to be 10-20 minutes. It turned out more like 40, and no one seemed to notice that it was taking too long. The place wasn't full by any means. The turkey sandwiches were dry--minimal mayo and a couple of halved cherry tomatoes instead of slices. The turkey was tasty, but far too thickly sliced for my taste. Overall meh. My son had a burger which he said was huge but terribly overcooked and dry. (The order form does ask how you want the burger cooked, and I'd chosen Medium). Again, just a drop of sauce. Barely edible. The smoothie drinks and house made chips were good. But not enough to compensate for the sandwiches. Sorry!

We arrived around noon on a busy beautiful Sunday! There's plenty of seating both inside and on their outdoor wrap around patio. Foster's has an old rustic charm, kind of like a general store but on a larger scale. So, you order at the counter with one of their many staffers, they call your name when it's ready if you ordered to go, or they walk around to the tables calling out your name if you choose to dine there! I had the Farm Plate, which was 2 eggs your way, a meat, their famous herb biscuit and your choice of grits or potatoes. I chose scrambled hard with cheese eggs, chicken sausage patties and cheese grits. It was just ok. The food was good, not like OMG! My friend had the Breakfast Burrito and it was again, just ok. They have a variety of options to choose from. Maybe we just picked the most basic ones. Nothing is out of the ordinary. Everything looks delicious and we really should have tried a dessert, but didn't. I would go back to give them another chance, but I'm not rushing. They have local goods, like honey, jams, chocolates, sauces for sale as well as wine and lots of other goods. It's super family friendly and a great place to sit and enjoy someone's company or your own, o just didn't have a spectacular experience.
